Trump threatens to respond 'at levels never seen before' if Iran attacks US
Donald Trump has threatened to respond to any attack by Iran on the US with "the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces".
In a post on Truth Social, the US president said the US had "nothing to do with the attack on Iran, tonight".
He wrote: "If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the U.S. Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before.
"However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict!!!"
His comments came as Iran and Israel exchanged more strikes overnight, with reports from Israel saying eight people were killed in two hits on residential buildings.
Israel says it attacked Iran's defence ministry and nuclear project
Israel continued its own attacks overnight, saying on social media that it targeted the ministry of defence HQ in Tehran, the base for a nuclear project, and "additional targets".
Casualty figures are so far unknown.
Israel has insisted its actions are vital to stop Iran developing a nuclear weapon in the near future. Iran, however, has long maintained that its nuclear programme is for domestic purposes only.
Eight killed in two strikes on residential buildings - Israeli media
Israeli media are reporting at least eight people have been killed in Iranian missile strikes overnight.
Four of them are said to have been killed after a building suffered a direct hit in Bat Yam, just south of Tel Aviv, while another four women - from the same family - reportedly died in the northern city of Tamra.
Sky News has not yet been able to independently verify these figures.
Israel's MDA emergency service has so far only confirmed four deaths: A woman in her 60s, a woman in her 80s, a boy around 10 years old, and another young girl. (Believed to be the Bat Yam incident).
It also said 140 people were injured in the overnight attacks. As always, these figures could be revised.
Picture show damage from Iranian strikes on Israel
More images are coming through of damage caused by Iranian attacks on Israel overnight.
There's major damage to a multi-storey residential building near Tel Aviv, which appears to have taken a direct hit.
The night-time pictures show firefighters at impact sites in central Israel, with the bottom image also said to be a residential building.
One dead in Tel Aviv after strikes
At least one person has died after rocket strikes in Tel Aviv, Israel is reporting.
The medical emergency service, Magen David Adom (MDA), says medics have determined the death of a woman in her 60s.
They are also providing medical treatment to approximately 20 injured people who have so far been located.
Rescue operations are continuing.
Direct hit on residential building in Tel Aviv
An eight-storey residential building in Tel Aviv has been hit, Israeli authorities are reporting.
The Israel Fire and Rescue Services have said the strike "caused significant damage" and ten firefighting teams are on site.
Meanwhile, in the central district, several direct hits on buildings have been reported, along with a fire in an open area.
MDA reports that its teams are treating a number of casualties in varying conditions.
In pictures: Rescue teams in northern Israel
Rescue teams are at the scene of a residential building in northern Israel that was hit after missiles were fired from Iran.
Both Israel's military and Iran state television announced the latest round of Iranian missiles while the Israeli security cabinet met.
Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard said missiles targeted fuel production facilities for Israeli jet fighters.
It said Iran would fire further missiles if Israeli strikes continue.
IDF: Sirens activated after strikes from Iran and Yemen
The IDF has said sirens have been activated in the country after strikes from both Iran and Yemen.
It said it had identified missiles launched from Yemen towards Israel and was working on intercepting them.
New barrage of Iranian missiles hits Israel
Israel has said a new barrage of Iranian missiles have been fired towards Israel.
Defensive systems are operating to intercept the threat, the IDF has said.
"The military has instructed residents to enter a protected space and remain there until further notice," the IDF has said.
"Leaving the protected space is only permitted following an explicit directive."
People in northern and central Israel told to stay near shelters
Israel's military has instructed residents in northern and central Israel to remain close to protected spaces.
"Movement in public areas should be minimised, and public gatherings must be avoided," the IDF has said.
"Upon receiving an alert, enter a protected space and remain there until an official update is issued."

Trump issues ominous threat to Iran as Israel urges America to join spiraling conflict

President Donald Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social early Sunday morning to set the record straight in regards to America's lack of involvement in the developing conflict between Israel and Iran in the Middle East. 'The U.S. had nothing to do with the attack on Iran, tonight,' the president wrote. 'If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the U.S. Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before.' 'However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict!!!' he added. The president has consistently prided himself on being the only one of his compatriots to not start any new wars while being in office. Yet, other more hawkish Republicans cheered Trump's decision to allow Israel to strike Iran earlier this week. They have been urging him to take more aggressive approach in the Middle East. 'Game on,' wrote Sen. Lindsey Graham on social media. 'Pray for Israel.' 'Donald Trump doesn't mess around. Bombs away,' cheered Rep. Randy Fine of Florida on social media after the attacks. Trump's first Secretary of State and former CIA director Mike Pompeo appeared on Fox News on Friday morning, greeting hosts by noting it was 'a very good morning' 'There was literally zero evidence that the negotiations were going to lead to a good outcome,' he said about Trump's peace talks. 'I think the Israeli leadership finally decided not only did they have the moment to do this, but they had the tools and resources to effectively obliterate much of the Iranian regime's military programs.' Pompeo cheered on the strikes as a demonstration of 'Western resolve' to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Speaking with ABC News Sunday morning, Trump addressed reports that Israel was encouraging Administration to join the conflict with Iran to eliminate its nuclear program. "We're not involved in it. It's possible we could get involved. But we are not at this moment involved," the president told ABC News. Trump also addressed a rumor that Russian president Vladimir Putin way be open to serving as a mediator between Iran and Israel. 'Yeah, I would be open to it. He is ready. He called me about it. We had a long talk about it. We talked about this more than his situation. This is something I believe is going to get resolved,' the president said of his Russian counterpart to ABC News. On the campaign trail in 2024, Trump himself often promised to be a peacemaker and the conflict between Israel and Gaza, as well as Russia and Ukraine. During a rally in Washington, D.C. the day before he was sworn in for a second term this past January, Trump declared,'I will end the war in Ukraine, stop the chaos in the Middle East and prevent World War III from happening, and you have no idea how close we are.' Trump Truth Social post warning Iran on June 15th, 2025, made mere hours after displays of America's military might rolled down Constitution Avenue and flew over a crowd in Washington, D.C. during Saturday's parade to commemorate 250 years of the United States Army Smoke from an oil refinery rises over residential buildings in southern Tehran, Iran, 15 June 2025. Israel continued to target sites related to Iran's nuclear program and energy facilities, after launching strikes across Iran since 13 June. In retaliation, Iran launched waves of missiles and drones toward Israel Emergency and Rescue soldiers search for trapped people inside heavily damaged buildings after an overnight missiles strike from Iran on June 15, 2025 in Bat Yam, Israel. Iran launched a retaliatory missile strike on Israel starting late on June 13, after a series of Israeli airstrikes earlier in the day targeted Iranian military and nuclear sites, as well as top military officials Residents check the destruction following an overnight Iranian missile strike in Rohovot in central Israel on June 15, 2025. Iran struck Israel early on June 15, with barrages of missiles after a massive onslaught targeted the Islamic republic's nuclear, military and oil facilities, and killed several top generals While recently visiting the Middle East to announce historic trade deals with Gulf nations, Trump also promised to help usher in a new era of peace to the region. Addressing an audience at the Saudi-US Investment Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in May, Trump aimed to inspire Middle Eastern leaders to set centuries of conflict aside, and to stop ensure nations are 'not bombing each other out of existence.' 'Before our eyes a new generation of leaders is transcending the ancient conflicts of tired divisions of the past and forging a future where the Middle East is defined by commerce, not chaos; where it exports technology, not terrorism; and where people of different nations, religions, and creeds are building cities together, not bombing each other out of existence. We don't want that,' Trump noted back in May. Trump's trip to the Middle East last month, the first foreign trip of his second term, notably did not include a visit to Israel. Trump's Truth Social post came mere hours after displays of America's military might rolled down Constitution Avenue and flew over a crowd in Washington, D.C. during Saturday's parade to commemorate 250 years of the United States Army. The event also coincided with the president's 79th birthday. The president spoke Saturday for an uncharacteristically short eight minutes, but in doing so delivered a stern warning to America's enemies. 'There is no earthly force more powerful than the brave heart of the U.S. military or an Army Ranger paratrooper or Green Beret,' he told the crowd, sprawled far out onto the National Mall surrounding the Washington Monument. Trump has denied that the military parade is in his honor - though he's wanted to hold a Bastille Day-like parade since visiting France in the opening months of his first term in 2017.

Seemingly Intoxicated guest is cut off during Fox News appearance to talk Trump parade

Fox News hosts had to cut an interview discussing President Donald Trump's military parade short after their guest appeared to be drunk on-air. Hours into their coverage of Trump's military parade honoring the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, which fell on the president's 79th birthday, hosts Lawrence Jones and Emily Compagno ran into trouble while interviewing Rebekah Koffler, a pro-Trump former intelligence officer, Mediaite reported. Before her on-air appearance, Koffler shared a foreboding image of a bottle of Saint-Hilaire on X. 'Well @POTUS is apparently encroaching on my airtime! My hit is moved to 8:20 – 8:30 pm depending on how long #Trump takes. I'm honored. Refilling my #champagne glass while waiting for my hit!' she wrote. When Koffler was finally on-air, Compagno asked what she thought of the parade's 'incredible symbolism and messaging.' Koffler replied, while slurring her words, 'I am so excited, Emily, and Lucas Tomlinson, everybody. Like, this is incredible. Finally the United States is… uh… is back.' 'I want really thank all of our Army, Navy, and Air Force officers who have been sacrificing their lives, literally. Their families have been contributing to the mission. Most of the time for the past quarter of a century because of the mismanagement of the, uh, the administrative state, they've been fighting these foreign wars. But with our new commander-in-chief, Donald J. Trump, they are prioritizing America first,' she slurred. Koffler then began to drag on, telling hosts, 'And I wanna thank these officers for all of these sacrifices and all of the hardships that their families have endured. Lawrence Jones, you are doing– you're your [unintelligible], man! You guys and [unintelligible] Lucas! I wanna thank–' before she was cut off.

Iraq's Kataib Hezbollah warns US against intervening in Israel-Iran conflict

BAGHDAD, June 15 - Iran-aligned Iraqi armed group Kataib Hezbollah warned on Sunday it would resume attacks on U.S. troops in the region if the United States intervenes in the conflict between Israel and Iran. 'We are closely monitoring the movements of the American enemy's army in the region," Kataib Hezbollah Secretary-General Abu Hussein al-Hamidawi said in a statement. "If America intervenes in the war, we will act directly against its interests and bases spread across the region without hesitation.' Founded in the aftermath of the 2003 U.S.-led invasion of Iraq, Kataib Hezbollah is one of the elite Iraqi armed factions closest to Iran. The group, a key pillar of Iran's network of regional proxy forces, has claimed responsibility for dozens of missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and U.S. forces in both Iraq and Syria. Early last year, Kataib Hezbollah announced the suspension of all its military operations against U.S. troops in the region in response to efforts by the Iraqi government. Kataib Hezbollah is part of a coalition of Iran-aligned groups known collectively as the "Axis of Resistance" — an umbrella of hardline Shi'ite armed factions that have claimed more than 150 attacks on U.S. forces in Iraq and Syria since the onset of the Gaza war about 20 months ago. Iraq, a rare ally of both Washington and Tehran, is striving to avoid upsetting its fragile stability while focusing on rebuilding after years of conflict.
