Drishyam 3 release date announced in BSE filing, Ajay Devgn to return as Vijay Salgaonkar in 2026 crime thriller
Ajay Devgn will return as Vijay Salgaonkar in Drishyam 3, the next installment in the popular crime thriller franchise. A formal disclosure submitted to the Bombay Stock Exchange by Panorama Studios has revealed that the film is scheduled for theatrical release on October 2, 2026. While an official announcement from the makers is still awaited, the regulatory document has already caught public attention online.
Production confirmed via stock exchange filing
The confirmation came through an official letter from Panorama Studios to the Bombay Stock Exchange under Regulation 30 of SEBI's Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements. The filing was made public on May 29, 2025, and later went viral on May 30. It stated that the company has entered into a production agreement with Digital 18 Media Private Limited for the making of Drishyam 3.
'We are pleased to inform you that the company has entered into a Production Agreement with M/S. Digital 18 Media Private Limited, for the production of a Hindi feature film titled 'Drishyam 3,' starring Mr. Ajay Devgn and others, directed by Mr. Abhishek Pathak,' the official letter mentioned.
Abhishek Pathak returns as director

The Drishyam franchise began in 2015, followed by Drishyam 2 in 2022. The second part starred Ajay Devgn alongside Shriya Saran, Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, and Ishita Dutta.

Aamir Khan talks about Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan not getting credit as much as him, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan: ' Everyone have given hits...'
Aamir Khan, in a recent interview, humbly downplayed the 'top three Khans' label, advocating for wider recognition of Bollywood stars. He emphasized that actors like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, and Hrithik Roshan, who debuted around the same time, have made equally significant contributions to the industry with decades of hard work and numerous hits. Actor Aamir Khan recently addressed the much-talked-about 'top three Khans' label—often used to group him with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan . In a candid chat with Raj Shamani, Aamir humbly pushed back against the tag, saying stars like Akshay Kumar , Ajay Devgn , and Hrithik Roshan also deserve just as much recognition in Bollywood's top tier. Aamir Khan expressed that while he appreciates being mentioned alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, he finds it unfair that other long-standing stars like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Hrithik Roshan are often left out of the conversation. He shared that it genuinely bothers him when the contributions of these equally hardworking actors are overlooked. Aamir emphasized that credit should be shared among all actors who began their careers in the late 1980s. He pointed out that the generation of actors from that era isn't limited to just Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and himself. Many others have been working for 30 to 35 years, which is no small feat. He highlighted that all of them have delivered major hits and achieved significant success, and he wanted to set the record straight about their contributions. When asked why they are often called the top three Khans, Aamir suggested it might be because their films broke box office records or performed exceptionally well commercially. He made his lead acting debut with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988) alongside Juhi Chawla , while Salman Khan's Hindi film debut came with Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) opposite Bhagyashree. Akshay Kumar made his Bollywood debut in 1991 with Saugandh, starring opposite Raakhee and Shantipriya. Ajay Devgn also entered the Hindi film industry that year with Phool Aur Kaante, alongside Madhoo and Aruna Irani. Shah Rukh Khan followed shortly after, debuting in 1992 with the musical romance Deewana opposite Divya Bharti .
