New Drops From G-SHOCK x Hidden & Blancpain x Swatch Pack Green Style & Streetwear Edge
If your wrist is ready for an upgrade, these two new watches have you covered. From streetwear-ready G-SHOCK vibes to a sleek green Bioceramic dive watch, they're fun, functional, and made to turn heads. G-SHOCK x Hidden 5600 Series Two years after their first collaboration, streetwear favourite Hidden NY reunites with G-SHOCK for the new DW5600HDN257. This release takes the iconic rectangular G-SHOCK silhouette and gives it a fresh twist with a frosted white resin bezel and Hidden's signature green lettering. It is clean, crisp and made for those who appreciate subtle style cues. The dial stays minimal, letting the matte black bull bars stand out while adding extra protection. On the caseback, an engraved 'In The Blink Of An Eye' motif nods to Hidden's design DNA. Turn on the LED backlight and the Hidden icon logo appears, giving a secret detail that only reveals itself in the dark. Hidden's first G-SHOCK in 2023 had a transparent off-white design that divided opinions. The new DW5600HDN257 swaps that for a sleeker white and green colourway, keeping the rare bull bars for extra durability and style. With 200 metres of water resistance, a stopwatch, timer, alarm, second time zone and a comfortable integrated strap, it is a versatile watch that combines streetwear flair with G-SHOCK toughness. The G-SHOCK x Hidden NY DW5600HDN257 is now available for US$175 (~RM765) at G-SHOCK SoHo, online and Hidden's website while stocks last. Blancpain x Swatch Scuba Fifty Fathoms 'Green Abyss' Just in time for summer, the Blancpain x Swatch Scuba Fifty Fathoms returns in a fresh new green. The 'Green Abyss' edition brings a forest-green Bioceramic case and unidirectional dive bezel paired with cream Super-LumiNova hands and markers. It's a sleek, subtle take on the playful Swatch collaboration, perfect for those who want colour without going over the top. Inside, the watch is powered by the Swatch-made SISTEM51 automatic movement, a fully mechanical engine with 90 hours of power reserve and a smooth 21,600 vibrations per hour. Measuring 42.3mm by 14.4mm, the case combines presence and wearability, while the 91-metre water resistance ensures it can handle any summer adventure with ease. The Green Abyss balances colour and seriousness, sitting between the brighter Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Ocean models. Its NATO-style strap keeps it sporty and comfortable, while the mechanical movement, summer-ready green, and approachable price make it a playful yet practical standout in the Scuba Fifty Fathoms lineup. The Blancpain x Swatch Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms Green Abyss will retail for US$400 (~RM1,750) and is available now at Swatch boutiques nationwide and online while stocks last.

G-Dragon, YG chief probed over alleged copyright infringement
G-Dragon (pic) of Big Bang and Yang Hyun-suk, the head of K-pop powerhouse YG Entertainment, are being probed over alleged violation of copyright law, officials said Wednesday. "Police have launched an investigation into the two after receiving a complaint in November from a composer who claimed that the singer and Yang had illegally copied the composer's song," an official at Seoul's Mapo Police Station told The Korea Herald. Police have twice raided YG Entertainment's headquarters in Seoul's Mapo-gu and have questioned those involved in the case, the official added. The official declined to comment further on the issue, saying that the case is "ongoing." The composer claimed that YG Entertainment had illegally copied G-Dragon, the song he made, and later produced and released it as part of G-Dragon's live solo concert album Shine A Light in 2010 without authorisation, according to local reports. Producing and distributing albums without the permission of the person who made the music violates Article 136 of the Copyright Act. The song was registered with the Korea Music Copyright Association in 2001, with the individual listed as the composer and arranger. A senior official at YG Entertainment told The Korea Herald that the case does not violate the copyright law. "The artiste (G-Dragon) included two different songs during his solo concert in 2009 that happened to have the same title on the setlist, so this is not a case of copyright infringement," the official explained, declining to provide further information on the ongoing investigation. An official at Galaxy Corporation, G-Dragon's agency, also echoed the same remarks, declining to comment further on the issue. – The Korea Herald/Asia News Network

(Video) Sabrina & Laurinda Ho's Appearance At G-Dragon's HK Concert Sparks Mixed Reactions
It's no surprise that a superstar like G-Dragon (지드래곤) attracts a lot of famous fans. However, a fancam from his recent 'Übermensch' concert in Hong Kong shows that even billionaires' daughters are fond of the singer. Last weekend, G-Dragon performed a three-day concert at the AsiaWorld-Arena in Hong Kong. The show was a huge success with thousands of fans, including Sabrina Ho (何超盈) and Laurinda Ho (何超莲), daughters of the late casino magnate Stanley Ho (何鴻燊). While they posted on social media, netizens only began noting their appearance after a fancam surfaced. A few days after the concert, a fancam video from the concert was posted onto Chinese social media. While the fancam was focused on G-Dragon as he walked beside the crowd, the video accidentally captured Sabrina and Laurinda, wearing black and white caps, respectively, standing at the rock zone. Notably, the two public figures were standing by the barricade, which made them stand out more in the fancam. The video then went viral, sparking a heated debate. Many fans were surprised to learn that Sabrina and Laurinda were fans of G-Dragon, noting that it's a testament to the star's popularity. Some argued that the BIGBANG member had seemingly interacted with the two during his performance, which led netizens to wonder if he knew who the sisters were. However, some also lamented that Sabrina and Laurinda may have pushed their way to the front after one netizen revealed that they entered the venue late. Interestingly, Sabrina and Laurinda aren't the only famous faces at the concert. Some netizens revealed that Hong Kong actresses Charmaine Sheh (佘诗曼), Angela Tong (汤盈盈), Janet Chow (周家蔚), and Annie Man (文颂娴) also attended one of the three shows. However, the four were at the seating area rather than the rock zones. Since the four are known to be part of the same friend group, some fans quipped that it was a girls' night out for them. The Hong Kong show marks the end of the Asia leg of G-Dragon's world tour. The North American and European leg of the tour will continue later this month. Perhaps we'll see more stars at the concerts then. In the meantime, check out the G-Dragon fancam with Sabrina and Laurinda: @hypemsia GDRAGON's 지드래곤 recent concert in Hong Kong attracted some famous fans, including SabrinaHo 何超盈 and LaurindaHo 何超莲, the daughters of casino magnate StanleyHo 何鴻燊.
