CCTV footage showed the shocking moment a brazen thief steals around $800 worth of Jellycats by stuffing them down her pants.
The huge haul of Jellycat soft toys was taken from St Peter's Garden Centre, south west of Birmingham, England, after a woman stuffed a 'significant amount' of the stock into her trousers and bags.
Footage filmed on June 7, 2025, showed a woman helping herself to items as she walked through the store, casually adjusting her pants as she went.
Jellycats are uniquely shaped soft toys that are hugely popular right now, thanks to their quirky designs and super-soft material.
Over the past year, the brand has experienced significant growth in popularity.
William Blake, managing director of St Peter's Garden Centre, said: 'We were deeply disappointed by the incident, where a significant amount of stock – over $800 worth of Jellycat toys – was stolen from our store.
'As an independent, family-run business, every loss impacts not just our shelves but the hardworking team behind the scenes.
'Our staff work tirelessly to create a warm and welcoming environment for all visitors, and it's disheartening when that is taken advantage of.
'We're co-operating fully with local authorities and we'd like to thank our customers for the response to the video and all their continued support.'

West Mercia Police said: 'We received a report of theft from St Peter's Garden Centre on June 11.
'Inquiries are ongoing.'
In Australia, stores such as David Jones stock Jellycats, with the department store seeing a massive uptick in sales in previous years.
'We've seen strong demand for the brand and an increase in sales in not only their iconic bunny which they are best known for but also more niche/unique styles,' a David Jones spokesperson told news.com.au last month.
'There has also been a noticeable shift in the consumer who is buying this product, traditionally bought for children we have seen demand from Gen Z thanks to social media driving the trend among this group.'
It comes as Aussies have gone wild for the Labubu craze, a furry plushie featuring a bizarre grin and sharp teeth.
Designed by Hong Kong-born artist Kasing Lung, the product is sold by Chinese toy company Pop Mart following a collaboration with Lung on his story series book The Monsters, released in 2015.
While the Labubu hit the market in Asia in 2019, the toy only took off after Blackpink's Lisa, a popular K-pop singer, was spotted with a $32 keychain-version of the doll attached to her handbag in April 2024.
And in just 12 months, the whole world has become hooked, including Aussies.

Jazmyn Gourdeas fundraiser after Zivan Radmanovic Bali shooting

Don't miss out on the headlines from Breaking News. Followed categories will be added to My News. The wife of Bali shooting victim Zivan Radmanovic is still in Indonesia, a close friend has revealed in a desperate public plea for support. Mr Radmanovic, 32, was shot and killed at a villa at the Badung Regency north of Kuta on Saturday. His wife Jazmyn Gourdeas was in the villa but not physically injured. A second man Sanar Ghanim, 34, was also shot during the attack. An image shows Mr Ghanim being tended to by paramedics with his feet and face covered in blood. Now, a fundraiser has been launched for Ms Gourdeas, with close family friend Jamie Lee revealing new details about the aftermath of the tragedy. 'This sudden and devastating loss has left Jazmyn a single mother to six beautiful children, aged from just 9 months to 13 years,' the fundraiser states. 'While only married for just under a year, the couple were deeply in love and shared a family together. A GoFundMe has been set up for Jazmyn Gourdeas after the shooting of Zivan Radmanovic. Picture: Supplied 'Now Jazmyn faces the unimaginable challenge of caring for their large family alone, including three children diagnosed with epilepsy who require ongoing medication, therapies and frequent medical appointments.' Ms Lee said Ms Gourdeas remained in Indonesia as the investigation into the killing progresses, and her family were taking care of the children in Australia. The financial burden facing Ms Gourdeas would now be 'overwhelming', she added. 'Zivan was a kind, hardworking man devoted to his family,' she said. 'His loss leaves a huge hole in their lives, but together, we can help Jazmyn and her children find a way forward. 'Your donation – no matter the size – will help provide stability, care and comfort to a grieving family facing an uncertain future.' As of Wednesday morning, $13,800 had been raised from a $20,000 target. Indonesian police have arrested two people over the shooting of Mr Radmanovic and Mr Ghanim. Sanar Ghanim receives treatment after the shooting. Picture: Supplied Media organisation Nusa Bali reported that one of the alleged offenders was arrested in Jakarta, while another person was captured abroad and was being taken to the Indonesian capital. Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo held a press conference in Bali on Tuesday at the Jembrana Police Headquarters. 'Regarding the shooting involving Australian citizens, I have received a report from the Bali Police Chief. One suspect has been secured in Jakarta, and another is on the way from overseas,' the police chief told media. 'A more detailed statement will be released by Bali Police. 'What I can say for now is that this case was solved through co-operation between our Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim), Immigration, and the Australian Federal Police (AFP).'. General Sigit did not release any information about identity of the alleged shooters but told media that Bali Regional Police would provide more detailed information. It was reported there were two alleged offenders who might be Australian and the gunmen used firearms during the attack. It was not clear what the motive was behind the attack. Bali Regional Police Chief Daniel Adityajaya said his department would provide an update later. 'Once the evidence and documentation are complete, Bali Police will issue an official statement to the public and media,' he said. Kenyan police shoot unarmed bystander in broad daylight amid protests

Security forces and hundreds of men armed with whips and clubs clashed with protesters in Kenya on Tuesday, with a police officer's shooting of an unarmed bystander triggering widespread anger. Tensions were already high in the east African country as it marks a year since massive Gen Z-led protests over the economy, and fresh demonstrations have been sparked by the death of a man in police custody earlier this month. In Nairobi's business district, the epicentre of last year's demonstrations, small groups of protesters gathered on Tuesday, initially peacefully, to call for an end to police brutality. But they were quickly attacked by hundreds of men on motorbikes, known in Kenya as 'goons', armed with makeshift weapons, said AFP journalists at the scene. As shop owners hastily closed their stores, police actively protected the armed men and fired tear gas at protesters, who responded by throwing stones and burning at least two of their motorbikes, the AFP reporters saw. 'The goons attacked us. They cornered us and beat us with whips and the police were just watching them do it,' Hanifa Adan, one of the leading voices from last year's protests, told AFP. There was outrage after videos circulated of a police officer shooting a bystander at point-blank range in the head, which was witnessed by AFP journalists. The man, who had been selling face masks, was still alive despite the severe injury. 'We handed him over to Kenyatta National Hospital and he was taken to the ICU. He was very critical. He was still breathing,' Vincent Ochieng, a disaster recovery officer for the Kenya Red Cross, told AFP. While the police did not directly deny any co-operation with the armed 'goons', it said in a statement it 'does not condone such unlawful groupings'. It also said the officer who shot the man in the head 'using an anti-riot shotgun' had been arrested. Josephine Michael, who manages a nearby health clinic, said her staff had treated seven people by early afternoon. AFP reporters saw two others suffer injuries. The government had been keen to avoid unrest this year with its latest finance bill avoiding the tax hikes that sparked weeks of protests in June and July 2024. But people have come back to the streets over the death of 31-year-old teacher Albert Ojwang in police custody earlier this month. Protesters are demanding the resignation of a senior officer they blame for the death. One of the 'goons' told AFP he had been hired by the Nairobi governor's office, which did not respond to a request for comment. 'They told us we are coming to protect the shops, I didn't know it would turn out like this,' said the man, who was carrying a club, adding that he was paid 1,000 shillings (around $8) and 'just wanted the money'. Kenya has a history of politicians using armed mobs. Earlier this year, President William Ruto was accused of paying 'goons' to follow his cavalcade around a tour of Nairobi to prevent protests. Ruto adamantly denied paying any mobs after the tour descended into widespread violence and robberies against bystanders and had to be cut short. 'We are turning into a lawless country,' Ndungi Githuku, of civil rights group Kongamano La Mapinduzi, told AFP at Tuesday's protest. 'We see hundreds of paid goons, with whips and weapons, crude weapons, coming to brutalise our people,' he said. Last year's protests peaked when thousands stormed parliament on June 25 where lawmakers were debating the unpopular finance bill. Rights groups say at least 60 people were killed during the protests in June and July 2024, and dozens more were illegally detained by security forces in the aftermath.

Jurors shown ‘freak off' videos in court as Diddy trial descends into chaos

Don't miss out on the headlines from Celebrity Life. Followed categories will be added to My News. Judge Arun Subramanian gave the defence and prosecution in Sean 'Diddy' Combs' trial a stern warning as the juror drama continued in court. The federal judge noted that one or more people in the courtroom violated the court's sealing order and revealed information about Friday's private proceeding. Judge Subramanian referenced an article in the media. He reminded the parties that the defence requested the gag order. Judge Subramanian continued that a violation of that order could result in contempt charges at the most extreme level. The federal judge told lead counsel, Assistant U.S. Attorney Maurene Comey and defence lawyer Marc Agnifilo, that they are personally responsible for the conduct of the teams. 'The buck stops with you…,' he said in court. Judge Subramanian said this was the only warning he would give and wanted each side to affirm they would adhere to the rules of this court. The judge has issued a stern warning in court as the Diddy trial continues. Picture: Richard Shotwell/Invision/AP In court on Wednesday, the jury was seemingly shown videos of 'freak offs' between Diddy, his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and a male escort. The screen for exhibits was shut off and the witness, special agent DeLeassa Penland, along with the jurors were given headphones to watch some videos from October 14, 2012. At one point, the sound from the videos was audible in the courtroom. The court fixed the problem by making sure headsets that were not in use were turned off and away from any mics. Diddy's defence lawyer, Teny Geragos, played several minutes of videos for the jury. Geragos then played clips of videos from December 2014. While the videos were being played, Diddy sat at the defence table, occasionally tapping his fingers on his legs. The clips were played for about 30 minutes, with Penland 'wincing' at one point while watching. Penland also testified about credit card charges, which included hotel bookings and travel for Diddy, Cassie and male escorts. Diddy's ex Cassie Ventura, then heavily pregnant, appeared in the witness box earlier in the trial. During Penland's cross-examination, the jury was shown text messages between Cassie and Diddy regarding the 'freak offs.' There was a text message from Diddy to Cassie dated September 2014 asking what she wanted to do. Cassie then sent a screenshot of a message from a male escort named Keith, who they knew from the website Cowboys for Angels, asking if she was in town. Cassie wrote to Diddy, 'I want to make love and drink wine … whatever makes my love happy.' Combs responded, 'Why did you show me the Keith thing?' She replied, 'Because I never show you …' Diddy asked if she wanted to have a 'freak off.' In a later message, Diddy asked, 'Wanna freak off for the last time?' Cassie responded, 'I wanna freak-off for the rest of our lives.' Before testimony began Monday, Juror No. 6 was dismissed from the case. Discussion about dismissing Juror No. 6 began last week after the prosecution pointed out inconsistencies in statements regarding his residency. 'There is nothing the juror can say at this point that can put the genie back in the bottle and repair his credibility …' the judge said in court ahead of trial testimony. Diddy's mother Janice Combs leaves court this week. Picture: AP Photo/Stefan Jeremiah The disgraced star could face decades behind bars. Picture: AP Combs' legal team had asked to keep the juror due to his ethnicity and requested a mistrial should the juror be dismissed. As to the concerns about diversity, Judge Subramanian said this jury does not raise those concerns. 'The court cannot and should not let race factor into what it should do,' the federal judge noted. Juror No. 6 was dismissed and was replaced by the first alternate juror. Judge Subramanian also noted there was no evidence of prosecutorial misconduct. In a letter filed by the government on Monday, the U.S. Attorney's Office noted it does not oppose additional fact-finding with a second Diddy trial juror due to possible communications with a former colleague regarding jury service. The prosecution wrote that the defence argued that if the court removed Juror No. 6, who was dismissed from the case, this second juror should also be excused. The government said they disagreed with 'linking the issues' involving these jurors, but said they are open to further questioning of the second juror.
