MCE Condemns Israeli Plan for 3,400 New Settlement Units

Mohamed Mandour The Muslim Council of Elders, chaired by Egypt's Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb, on Friday strongly condemned Israel's approval to build 3,400 new settlement units near the West Bank and Jerusalem, saying the move targets the territorial integrity of a future Palestinian state. In a statement, the council described the decision, approved by Israel's finance minister, as 'a flagrant violation of international law' and 'a serious undermining of peace efforts.' It urged the international community to act swiftly to halt the expansion and to uphold the Palestinian people's right to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital. The council said such settlement activity 'constitutes a provocative practice' that deepens tensions and threatens regional stability, calling on world leaders to take a clear stand against what it views as ongoing violations of Palestinian rights. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated

Arab, Islamic States Condemn Netanyahu's 'Greater Israel' Remarks, Settlement Expansion Plans

Mohamed Mandour The foreign ministers of 31 Arab and Islamic countries, along with the secretaries-general of the League of Arab States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Gulf Cooperation Council, on Friday strongly condemned recent statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the so-called 'Greater Israel,' calling them a grave violation of international law and a direct threat to regional peace and security. In a joint statement, the officials said Netanyahu's remarks — as reported by Israeli media — demonstrate 'a blatant and dangerous disregard' for the principles of stable international relations. They reaffirmed their countries' commitment to the U.N. Charter, particularly the prohibition against the use or threat of force, and pledged to adopt 'all policies and measures' necessary to safeguard peace, stability, and development. The ministers also denounced the approval by Israel's far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich of a contentious settlement plan in the 'E1' area, as well as his 'radical racist statements' rejecting the establishment of a Palestinian state. They described the move as a 'flagrant violation' of international law and an assault on the Palestinian people's right to an independent, sovereign state based on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. The statement underscored that Israel has 'no sovereignty' over the Occupied Palestinian Territories and warned that unilateral actions undermine prospects for peace in the region. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated

Al-Azhar Denounces Israeli Officials' Remarks on 'Greater Israel' as Colonial Ambitions

Mohamed Mandour Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif issued a sharp condemnation of statements by Israeli officials promoting the idea of a so-called 'Greater Israel,' calling the remarks 'provocative' and a reflection of 'an entrenched colonial mindset.' In a statement, Al-Azhar said the comments revealed 'extremist ambitions' aimed at seizing the wealth of regional nations and 'devouring what remains of Palestinian land,' in defiance of the will and resources of the region's peoples. 'These political delusions will not change the truth in any way,' the statement read. 'They are an attempt to distract from the crimes, massacres, and genocide being committed in Gaza, with the aim of erasing Palestine from the world map.' Al-Azhar reaffirmed that Palestine 'is pure Arab and Islamic land' and rejected what it described as 'extremist religious narratives' promoted by Israel to test the resolve of Arab and Muslim states. It urged regional nations to unite against such rhetoric, strengthen joint political and diplomatic efforts, and expose 'the falsity of the occupier's narratives.' The statement concluded with a pledge that Al-Aqsa Mosque and other sacred sites 'will never be easy prey,' insisting that 'the right will inevitably return to its due owners' and that 'falsehood, no matter how long it lasts, will ultimately perish. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated
