President of Amman Private University Receives the Flag of the National Technology Festival for 2026

Khaberni -Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of Amman Private University, received the flag of the National Technology Festival for 2026, during the closing ceremony of the twelfth edition of the festival, hosted by Hussein Technical University.
The handover ceremony took place amidst a large attendance of participating students from various universities, where Professor Dr. Ismail Al Hinti, President of Hussein Technical University, handed over the flag to Dr. Hamdan, signifying the transfer of organization of the thirteenth edition of the festival to Amman Private University.
In his speech for the occasion, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan expressed the pride of Amman Private University in hosting the upcoming edition of the festival, affirming the university's commitment to enhancing an environment of creativity and innovation, and opening opportunities for students to showcase their projects in fields of technology, engineering, and artificial intelligence, contributing to academic excellence and stimulating youth entrepreneurship.
He added that the university aims to organize a festival that befits the stature of higher education in Jordan and keeps pace with global advancements in technology and digitization, through quality programs and effective partnerships with various related sectors.
On his part, Professor Dr. Ismail Al Hinti valued the success of the current edition of the festival, which saw remarkable participation from most Jordanian universities, praising the level of student projects and affirming that this event has become a vital national platform for exchanging experiences and stimulating young minds towards innovation and creativity.
The National Technology Festival is one of the most prominent annual events in Jordan, aiming to highlight pioneering student projects in the fields of technological innovation, digital solutions, and smart applications, as well as fostering connections between academic education and the labor market, and supporting concepts of the knowledge economy and entrepreneurship.

Growing User Base The number of CliQ users in Jordan grew to 1.88 million by the end of June, reflecting a 1.7% increase. Of these, 96.2% (1.81 million users) are Jordanian nationals, while 3.8% (71,800 users) are from other nationalities. Men represent the majority of users at 62%, compared to 35.1% for women. The most active demographic is youth aged 18 to 30, who dominate transaction volumes and frequency. Nature of Transactions The majority of transactions (by value) were money transfers, accounting for 84.9%, while purchases made up 15.1%. The average transaction value in June rose to 122 dinars, compared to 119 dinars in May. About CliQ Launched in 2020 by JoPACC, CliQ is the latest real-time payment system in Jordan. It allows instant transfers between bank accounts across participating banks and mobile wallets. These figures reflect significant progress in Jordan's digital payment infrastructure, underscoring the country's move toward a secure and efficient digital economy in line with global technological trends. In 2024, CliQ processed 83.9 million transactions worth 12.1 billion dinars.

The system enables sending and receiving money between bank accounts across all participating banks in Jordan instantly and to and from any mobile wallet. Participating banks have integrated CliQ into their mobile banking offering, making the system's services easily accessible.
