9-year-old boy dies after being swept away by floodwaters while walking to bus stop
A 9-year-old boy in Kentucky died after being swept away by floodwaters on Friday, according to TV stations WLKY and LEX18.

The incident happened around 6:30 a.m. in Frankfort as the child was walking to the bus stop.

The Franklin County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 9-year-old Gabriel Andrews, both stations reported.
After around 2 hours of searching, authorities found Andrews' body approximately a half mile from where he was swept away.
Neighbors told both stations that first responders focused on nearby storm drains during the search.
He was a student in the Franklin County School District.
'My heart breaks for the family. And I hope everyone joins Britainy and I in praying for this family after such an unimaginable loss. It sadly underscores just how dangerous floodwaters can be,' Kentucky Governor Andy Besheer said during a news conference.

A young man who was severely injured when a tornado hit and destroyed his Henry County home has been released from the ICU. Malachi Chaney, who celebrated his 19th birthday over the weekend, remains hospitalized at Grady Memorial Hospital, but his family says he is slowly recovering. Showers, storms on the way for north Georgia as system forms off Atlantic coast
Our rain chances are going up in north Georgia, and the reason is a system we are watching closely in the tropics. It's the time of year where there can be the development of activity in the Gulf and the Atlantic off the East Coast. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] Overall, the risk for tropical development along the southeast coast is low, at 10% in the next two days and 10% over the next seven days. Severe Weather Team 2 will be watching it carefully over the next few days, as showers and storms gather along the Atlantic coast.
