Man Utd's new third kit leaked as fans blast: 'You couldn't pay me to wear it'

Adidas' attempt to recreate a classic Manchester United strip for the 2025/26 season has not gone down well with supporters, who have slammed the black and yellow kit
Manchester United have hit rock bottom after ending a miserable season – and now their leaked new kit is being slammed by fans. United ended their 2024/25 campaign 15th in the Premier League and without any European football to look forward to after tasting defeat in the Europa League final.
Ruben Amorim's side then added some more embarrassment by losing to an ASEAN All-Stars side in Kuala Lumpur during an all-advised post-season tour.

The atmosphere around the club hasn't been helped by Sir Jim Ratcliffe's job-cutting crusade ahead of a summer transfer window which could see a huge number of players leave.

To make matters worse, United's kits for the upcoming 2025/26 campaign have been leaked on social media. Kit manufacturer Adidas have created a third kit comprised of black, yellow and blue, which – as is the way these days – harks back to happier times.
The apparent third strip that Amorim's players will be wearing next season is an attempt to recall the era of Eric Cantona and co from 1993 to 1995.
The new version doesn't have a collar and has Snapdragon as the front-of-shirt sponsor, but it is a close copy of the original Umbro version.
Needless to say, it hasn't gone down well with all United fans. 'The worst shirt I've ever seen, couldn't pay me to wear it,' one furious supporter wrote on social media.
'Third shirt for what? We ain't in Europe,' another pointed out. 'United slowly losing its identity,' a third wrote, while another simply concluded: 'F****** ugly.'

HAVE YOUR SAY! What do you make of the leaked kit? Comment below.
However, it wasn't all bad, with some fans liking the retro throwback. 'This is so so good,' one wrote. 'Is this legit!? Looks class,' another added. Another wrote: 'Monochrome badge brings it down to a 9/10 rather than a 10/10.'
The leaked home shirt looks pretty straightforward: a red number with black and white touches, while the away shirt is a bold all-white effort.

It will be some time until fans see players wearing them, with United taking a not-so well-earned break after the tour of Malaysia and Hong Kong. The club are not involved in this summer's Club World Cup, so will take some time off before reconvening for pre-season.
United begin their pre-season against Leeds in Stockholm on July 19 before flying over to the Untied States for games against West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton. They then return to Old Trafford to play Fiorentina on August 9 before the Premier League begins again on August 16.
What's for certain is that it will be a dramatically different United squad next season, with the club overhauling things in the transfer window. Matheus Cunha is set to be the first arrival of the summer window after United agreed to pay Wolves his £62.5million release clause, while Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo is another target.

Arsenal release statement as midfield deal confirmed amid Martin Zubimendi chase

Arsenal have seen an early exit for midfield star Jorginho as the Italy international departs before the end of his contract with the prospect of Martin Zubimendi arriving at the Emirates Arsenal have confirmed that Jorginho has been released from his contract after coming to a mutual agreement to see him become a free agent. The midfielder was set to leave at the end of the month when his contract expired but has now made his exit prematurely and joined Brazilian club Flamengo in time to feature in the Club World Cup in the United States. Jorginho joined the Gunners in January 2023 from Chelsea and made 78 appearances for the club. The Italy international arrives in time as Flamengo begin their campaign in the US against ES Tunis, while Jorginho could line up against Chelsea on June 20, in the Brazilian side's second match of the group stage. ‌ Posting on social media, Arsenal said: "The club can confirm that we have reached a mutual agreement with Jorginho to end his contract with immediate effect. Thank you for everything and all the best, Jorgi" ‌ The north London side were highly complimentary of their former charge and said in their statement: "Jorginho (full name Jorge Luiz Frello Filho), soon became a hugely respected member of the squad. His natural leadership skills, together with his control in midfield, intelligent positioning and extensive, high-quality passing, ensured that he was a valuable and integral part of the club." "Everyone at Arsenal Football Club would like to thank Jorgi for his contribution to the club and we wish him and his family all the best for the future," they added. The Gunners are set to say goodbye to 17 players at the end of the month with Kieran Tierney joining Jorginho in exiting the Emirates. The Scotland star is set to join Celtic. Speaking about his exit, Tierney said: 'Just thank you for everything from day one. They supported us through the good times and the bad, and they supported me through some hard times as well. "I think that's what I'm most grateful for, the times where it wasn't so good or so easy for me is when they probably supported me most, so I'm just very grateful and I feel very lucky to have the support from them. ‌ "I feel so lucky that I've played for this club and the love that the supporters have given me has been amazing. I've loved every day here and I've learned so much, I've improved so much and I just feel very lucky." Arsenal are set to be busy this summer however, and already seem to have a midfield replacement for Jorginho. Martin Zubimendi is expected to arrive in north London. The finishing touches are said to being put to a deal, though theSpain international has suggested a move away from Real Sociedad is not guaranteed. The 26-year-old, who rejected the chance to move to Liverpool last August, told Radio Nacional when asked if he could yet stay in the Basque region. ‌ "Of course there are options, but it's true that it seems like it's going to be a different, long summer, and I don't know how it will end," he said. "I don't think thinking about that right now is my priority. I'm here with the national team, which I think is already quite demanding, and if I have to say something, then I will." Liverpool's hopeful deadline to seal Florian Wirtz deal after making third bid

Liverpool believe they can wrap up a deal for Florian Wirtz sooner rather than later after submitting a third bid to Bayer Leverkusen for the German playmaker - who will cost a British record fee Liverpool hope to complete a deal for Florian Wirtz within days despite submitting another offer that is below Bayer Leverkusen 's valuation of the playmaker. This is the third bid made by the Premier League side. It is their highest yet with the package coming in at £113million - £100m of which is up front before the extras are paid as add ons. However the Bundesliga club have maintained they want £126m before they consider letting Wirtz seek pastures new. ‌ Despite the disparity between the two figures Sporting director Richard Hughes, who is leading negotiations, is hopeful a deal can be reached in the coming days. The first part of this summer's transfer window closes on June 10 before opening back up shortly after. ‌ The 22-year-old star has made it clear to his club that he wants to move to Anfield after Manchester City opted out of the race for his signature. Bayern Munich were also keen but they've been usurped in the pecking order by the Premier League champions. Personal terms won't be an issue once a fee is agreed and the player is waiting for the green light to head to Liverpool for a medical next week after Germany face France in the Nations League third-place play-off on Sunday. Liverpool have already negotiated with Leverkusen once this summer, signing Jeremie Frimpong. The Dutchman has moved to Anfield as Trent Alexander-Arnold's replacement but his £30m switch was made easier by a release clause in his contract. Wirtz has no such clause and that has led to the back and forth between the two clubs. Liverpool will have to break the British transfer record if they do want to sign the playmaker, who is regarded as a generational talent with the Reds confident he can have an instant impact. club chief Fernando Carro previously said they "would never let Wirtz leave" for less than their valuation. Arne Slot endured a quiet summer when he first arrived at Anfield, working with the squad he inherited from Jurgen Klopp. But after landing the title he's wasted no time in pursuing new recruits as the Reds look to build on this year's success. ‌ Germany legend Rudi Voller - who left his role as sporting director of Bayer Leverkusen in 2022 after 17 years - has given insight into the discussions and claimed that the German club would make Liverpool wait on a deal, despite their hopes to wrap it up soon. "It's no secret that he'd like to go to Liverpool. I know the clubs are negotiating with each other. It's often the case that it takes a while until an agreement is finally reached. Of course, in the end, you have the feeling it will go through. Florian Wirtz has proven that he is a very, very valuable player. Not only for Bayer Leverkusen but also for the national team. That's why he costs a few euros more." As well as Frimpong and Wirtz Liverpool are also looking to complete a deal for Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez. The Hungarian impressed for the the Cherries and is one of several players who could earn move elsewhere. He is valued at £40m.
