While many restomod builders lean on EV conversions or modern crate engines, ECD has partnered exclusively with Roush Performance to deliver something more meaningful: upgraded Small Block Ford V8s that honor the soul of the original car while elevating reliability and responsiveness.

Under the hood, '67 Ghost features a 465-horsepower ROUSH 347 IR V8, purpose-built to balance raw character with everyday usability. The vehicle rides on a Roadster Shop RS Spec chassis, giving it the best of both worlds: responsive handling and confident power, with the comfort and refinement of a modern cruiser.
Finished in High Gloss Mineral White with Santorini Black Metallic rally stripes, the exterior draws from classic Mustang lineage, elevated with ECD's precise detailing. Inside, heated Recaro seats in black leather with tan diamond-stitched inserts pair with a brushed aluminum dash, All American gauges, and a Grant Classic steering wheel to deliver both nostalgia and tactile drama. Modern technology is seamlessly integrated, including Apple CarPlay, JBL premium audio, and a remote start.

Bill Ford says loss of federal funding could 'imperil' Marshall battery factory
Ford Motor Co. Executive Chair Bill Ford, speaking at the Mackinac Policy Conference, sounded the alarm on the potential for Washington to do away with production tax credits that support the manufacturing of electric vehicle batteries. The disappearance of the credits would threaten Ford Motor's investment in a Marshall plant. "If it doesn't stay, it will imperil what we do in Marshall," Ford said on May 29. 'We made a certain investment based upon a policy that was in place. It's not fair to change policies after all the expenditure has been made,' he said. The tax bill passed by the U.S. House of Representatives this month could bar lucrative tax credits for batteries produced using Chinese technology. Ford's factory, now under construction, would make battery cells using tech from Chinese battery giant CATL. The Senate still must deal with the bill, which Democrats oppose and has drawn criticism from some fiscally conservative senators. Ford received a reduced incentive package from Michigan last year for the battery plant after it cut expected production there to match slowing demand for electric vehicles. Since the automaker announced the plant in 2023, it has drawn scrutiny from some lawmakers for its ties to the Chinese company. Sweet P's closing downtown Knoxville location
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — After 10 years in business, an iconic Knoxville barbeque restaurant is set to close. Sweet P's Downtown Dive location is set to permanently close after service on Father's Day, June 15, 2025. While the barbeque restaurant at 410 W. Jackson Avenue will be closing, Sweet P's Uptown Corner in Fountain City will continue to operate, along with the catering kitchen at that location. Babalu on Gay Street closing for the second time A release from Sweet P's shared that business at Sweet P's Uptown Corner has increased in recent years, but business at the Downtown Dive has fallen. Additionally, owner Chris Ford pointed out that there has been an increase in competition in the downtown restaurant business. 'We are so grateful to our many customers who have supported us over the past 10 years,' Ford said. 'And I personally am proud of our hard-working and dedicated staff.' Ford also shared that he is reaching out to fellow restaurateurs to seek out opportunities for employees at the Downtown Dive. Ford, a former musician and leader of rock bands Gran Torino and Tennessee Power & Light, started Sweet P's when he left the music business. Atlantic Beach considering cutting contract with Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department
After years of paying millions in taxpayer money to the City of Jacksonville for fire rescue services through the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department, the City of Atlantic Beach is asking whether it should be paying at all. The conversation came up in an Atlantic Beach City Commission meeting on April 28th, when Mayor Curtis Ford brought up his concerns with continuing the city's contract with JFRD. Read: Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department Chief Keith Powers set to retire, city confirms 'Fire services are a county service and, therefore, should be paid by the county,' Ford said during the meeting. City commissioners said Atlantic Beach pays more than $1 million every year to the City of Jacksonville for fire rescue services. The money is used for staffing, equipment, and fire engines inside of Atlantic Beach's fire station, which the city owns. But since Atlantic Beach leaders pointed out Neptune Beach doesn't pay a cent for fire services from the City of Jacksonville, it doesn't believe it should have to do so, either. >>> STREAM ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE <<< 'We shouldn't have paid last year, that was my thinking, and I don't think we should pay another penny after this year,' said Commissioner Jessica Ring during the April meeting. The contract for fire services between Atlantic Beach and the City of Jacksonville recently expired. Atlantic Beach leaders initially had a plan to slowly stop paying Jacksonville for fire services over the next three years. But Mayor Ford called the plan generous, saying he doesn't believe another dollar should be paid. 'I'm very concerned about this, and this is the time to take action,' said Ford. The City of Jacksonville could not provide an interview with Action News Jax, but did provide a statement: 'Over the past year, the City of Jacksonville and City of Atlantic Beach have been reviewing the interlocal agreement between the two cities. These discussions are ongoing. No decision has been made yet about fire services. Mayors Deegan and Ford will be meeting soon to discuss further.' We asked the city of Atlantic Beach how fires would be managed in the city if it were to cut its contract with JFRD. The city told us it is working on arranging an interview with us to help answer this question. The City of Jacksonville tells us the mayors of the two cities are expected to meet next week to discuss fire services.
