Diljit Dosanjh has been facing immense backlash in India for casting Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in his upcoming movie, Sardaar Ji 3. Now, the All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking him to take stern action against the Punjabi singer-actor. It has not only asked PM Modi to ban Diljit Dosanjh's concerts in India, but has also requested him to suspend his social media handles.
AICWA has also requested the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) Chairman to take action against Diljit and reject certificates for all his future films. The association is seeking a complete ban on the Punjabi star and has threatened legal action against anyone who work with him in future.

'Jab yeh film bani thi tab situation sab theek tha. We shot this in Feb and then everything was fine. Uske baad, bhut saari badi cheezen humare haath mein nahi hai. Toh producers ne decide kiya ki film obviously ab India toh nahi lagegi, toh overseas release karte hain. Toh producers ka bahut paisa laga hua hai aur jab yeh film bann rahi thi tab aisa kuch tha nahi," he said, adding that the makers are aware they will incur losses. 'Now the situation is not in our hands. So if the producers want to release it abroad, I support them."
Sardaar Ji 3, directed by Amar Hundal, is set for an overseas release on June 27. However, it will not be released in Indian theatres.

New Delhi: Delhi University will begin the first round of seat allocation for undergraduate courses under the extracurricular activities (ECA), sports, and ward quotas on Friday. The university received 13,000 ECA applications this year, a 14% rise from 2024, with debating (English) emerging as the most sought-after category. A total of 1,347 ECA seats are being offered across 14 categories, including creative writing (Hindi and English), debate (Hindi and English), digital media (photography, filmmaking, animation), divinity, fine arts (sketching, painting, sculpture), music (vocal and instrumental, Indian and western), dance (Indian classical, folk, western, choreography), theatre, quiz, and yoga. Dance has the largest number of seats (275), followed by theatre (122), yoga (42), and quiz (25).
