Woman left mortified when she steps into a store & realises her and boyfriend's matching tattoos was a terrible mistake

A MATCHING tattoo with your significant other is always a cute idea - if you know you'll spend the rest of your life with them.
Or if - as one woman recently discovered - you double-check the adorable inking doesn't stand for something else.

Keen to take the relationship to the next step and showcase their love for one another, Lauren Mullane and her former partner got matching tattoos.
The inking that the young Irish lass placed on her wrist read ''Siempre'' - which in Spanish translates to ''Always''.
But while the pair may have not thought much about the seemingly innocent tattoo, Lauren was in for the shock of her lifetime after a visit to the local Lid l left her mortified.
Sharing the epic fail on her TikTok page, the blonde beauty revealed how the romantic ''Siempre'' had a very different meaning in the beauty aisle - where a period pad brand was also named Siempre.
To make the matters even worse, it appeared that both the wrist inking and the brand's logo had the exact same font, leaving Lauren horrified.
''POV: You get a matching tattoo with your ex and it turns out to be the Lidl period pad range logo,'' she wrote in the video.
''At least I have a monthly reminder now,'' she joked in the caption.
'Brand ambassador'
Since being posted on the social media platform, the unfortunate yet hilarious blunder has left people in hysterics.
The short video has racked up more than a whopping 800k views, close to 14k likes and over 250 shares.
In total stitches, dozens flooded to comments, where one person dubbed Lauren ''brand ambassador''.
I got an elephant tattoo - but it looks like a penis
Another was just as mortified as the young Irish lass, writing: ''Even got the same font.''
A third chimed in: ''ABSOLUTELY NOT.''
''Paid partnership incoming,'' someone else chuckled.
Luckily, not everyone thought the funny mishap was as bad, with one writing: ''It means always so you're good!
''I'd know the meaning straight away, I would not ever have thought of the period products!''
Tattoo Do's and Don'ts
1. Think, think and think some more
Tattoos done on a whim are far more likely to lead to regret than a tattoo you thought long and hard about. Think about why you want what you've chosen. And if you still want it after a few months, then get it.
2. Age restrictions apply
You must be 18 years old to be tattooed in the UK.
3. Don't haggle over the price
When you go to a tattoo shop the price is the price. You are paying for an artist's time and skills, they charge what they believe those things are worth.
4. Don't get tattooed while you're hungry
Eat before you go for your tattoo session and make sure you're hydrated. You're about to be subjected to a period of sustained physical discomfort, if you're feeling a little weak from hunger or you're dehydrated things will not go as smoothly as they should.
5. Don't drink alcohol before you get tattooed
If you are drunk or under the influence of drugs, don't go for a tattoo. In fact, if your tattooist has anything at all about them they will turn you away if you are clearly under the influence of any intoxicating substances. I'd also avoid drinking the night before, even a few drinks will thin your blood and make your bleed more.
Phallic tattoo design gone wrong

This comes just days after one mum was left horrified after she discovered her brand new sleeve inking looked like something very rude.
Mother-of-three Christine Philippa forked out for the floral inking five years ago and initially loved the design - which also included a naked woman's image facing away.
But what the mum, from New Zealand, didn't realise right away is that when she was wearing a short sleeve top or dress, the outline of the female figure resembled something phallic.
Desperate to get rid of the unfortunate design and placement, Christina recently popped down to have the sleeve inking finished - in hopes to get rid of the awkward fail.
She shared on TikTok: ''I've had a ball sack on my arm for five years now and now it's time to fix it.''
According to the brown-eyed stunner, she had designed the inking with her pal - and at the time, didn't account for what the naked woman's ''butt would look like when it's covered''.
Christine, who posts under the username @ christinephilippa, made an appointment with a tattoo whizz who completed the rest of the floral design.
All chuffed with the makeover - which also included the dates of her children's birthdays - Christine proudly showed off her fresh artwork.
The stunning piece included a range of different florals, with the woman sat in the middle between the top and bottom part.
''Isn't that absolutely stunning? I am obsessed with it,'' she said in the now-viral video.
''I have a floral piece on my shoulder as well, so it all kind of ties in nicely.''
Since being posted online, the tattoo transformation has racked up close to 700k views at the time of writing, as well as 36k likes, 352 shares and over 50 comments.
But while the young mum may have been pleased with the results, brutal social media users insisted the phallic fail was still peeking through.
One eagle-eyed TiKToker joked: ''But it's still there lol still gonna look the same when the rest is covered.

Shopper reveals surprising truth about donated clothes to charity

A woman has taken to TikTok to share an important message to people who are trying to give their clothes a second home A thrifty Brit has taken to TikTok to share a startling insight into the fate of excess donations at charity clothes banks, after noticing an overflow at her local Salvation Army drop-off point, reports the Mirror. Rachel captured footage of numerous bags accumulating on the pavement, explaining in her video: "This is what I saw today. People didn't dump these - they donated - but with nowhere to left to put them, this is the result." ‌ The Vinted user, who sells second-hand clothes herself, posed a poignant question: "People came here with good intentions, but if the banks are full where do you expect it all to go? It really does break my heart to see this sort of thing happening all the time." ‌ She then went on to describe the journey of surplus donations from inside a warehouse, revealing: "Every day, warehouses like this sort through literal tonnes - and the volume isn't slowing down." Rachel highlighted the staggering global impact of clothing waste, stating: "Fashion is responsible for up to 10 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions - more than flights and shipping combined. Here in the UK alone, we send around 350,000 tonnes of clothing to landfill every year." Concluding her video, she urged her audience to think twice before their next charity shop drop-offs, questioning: "Is it clean, wearable, could someone actually use it?" She continued: "Clothes banks are full - don't leave it outside. Wait, rethink, reuse - we don't need more waste, we just need change." Illustrating the extent of the issue, Rachel revealed that even warehouse spaces are overwhelmed, with clothes quickly accumulating soon after being cleared. "Look how much these volunteers have to go through every single day," Rachel pointed out. One TikTok user expressed their astonishment: "Wow this is mind blowing statistics... and resellers still getting negative comments. Brilliant video Rachel. Thank you for sharing." ‌ Another viewer concurred: "It's absolutely mind-blowing the general public has no idea just HOW bad it is." A third commenter lamented a local clothing collection point, noting it's often filled to the brim and exposed to weather: "We have a clothing collection point in my estate outside of our little shop, to be honest I've never seen anyone empty it, but it must be full as yesterday there was numerous bags piled on top. "It's been pouring with rain all night here so they will all be ruined now. Such a shame!" ‌ A forth advised: "Take it back home try again another day, or take to a charity shop... bl**dy simple... don't just leave it there." One in five individuals expressed frustration with their local situation, saying: "People leave stuff outside a local charity shop by me and they aren't allowed to accept it. I sometimes see people going through it but the next day it always gets collected by council for landfill." ‌ This scenario supports Rachel's statistics, which are in line with Waste Managed's assertions: "Globally, the fashion industry produces around 92 million tonnes of textile waste annually. This contributes significantly to environmental pollution, with the industry responsible for 10% of global carbon emissions." Additionally, the statistics show: "We consume 62 million tonnes of textiles per year. By 2030, this is expected to reach 102 million tonnes. The fashion industry accounts for 8.1 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions." The Salvation Army has been approached for comment.
