Love Island fans demand star is 'sent home immediately' after twist reaction
Three Love Island boys stepped forward for Shakira tonight during a tense firepit ceremony, letting their partners know they were willing to jump ship to another woman
Love Island fans were left gobsmacked after a dramatic night at the Firepit saw Blu stand up for bombshell Shakira, only for her to choose someone else, leaving him slinking back to his original partner. After being made vulnerable by Toni's shock arrival last night (June 9), Shakira was given 24 hours to turn heads in the villa or risk being dumped.
The determined woman decided to secure her place on Love Island by speaking to almost every boy, hoping to sway at least one of them towards her and away from their original coupling. Meg and Megan were particularly rattled by Shakira going after their men, but Dejon was quick to reassure his partner, and Tommy even shared a smooch with Megan, letting her know where his heart lies.
However, sparks were flying during Shakira's conversation with Blu. She admitted that she was intrigued by him, saying: "I think you've got a good vibe…you're very calming and I don't have to put on a bravado." She also told the construction manager that she feels like she can be herself with him.
Later that night, host Maya Jama returned to the villa to let Shakira know her time was up. All the Islanders were told to gather around the fire pit, and any of the boys holding a torch for her were told to step forward, with the possibility that they would be able to form a new couple with the marketing executive.
In a shocking twist, not one but three boys stood up. Blu, Harry, and Conor were all swayed by Shakira's charms. However, Blu ultimately did not get selected and sheepishly went back to his original partner, Alima.
Viewers were appalled by him deciding to double time one of their favourite Love Island personalities, and quickly began criticising him on X. One person fumed: "Send Blu home with immediate effect."
Another exclaimed: "Blu needs to leave my villa immediately!!" A third ominously predicted: "I don't know how but Blu I will make sure you leave that Villa."
It comes after fans questioned some "missing scenes" after some drama between two Islanders. Just last night on the series fans watched as the original couples were formed, before bombshell Toni caused carnage.
While some couples were clearly thrilled by their pairings, others were not. Shakira and Ben even had a frosty moment just moments before Toni entered the villa and stole him.
Ben had claimed to Maya that their pairing was "love/hate" sparking confusion with fans. Many wondered if they'd missed some scenes, unsure why the couple were already "bickering" as one of their co-stars put it just hours into the show.
They'd had a chat before Toni's entrance where Ben had seemed to hint he was already thinking about who else might come in, and he didn't seem interested in the brunette. Fans picked up on this, also noting Shakira didn't look impressed by their chat.
As some viewers wondered if a secret row had not been aired, one fan posted on X: "I think Shakira was disappointed with Ben's answers," while another guessed: "Ben saying he's not sure if he can put up with Shakira has gone right into red flag territory." A third fan said: "Ben doesn't like Shakira AT ALL!"
A fourth fan wrote: "Feeling horrible for Shakira right now Ben is not even trying to hide the fact he does not like her at all." A further post read: "I said he doesn't like Shakira."

Olivia Attwood gives 3-word verdict on Kris Jenner's facelift
Love Island star Olivia Attwood is once again looking at the pros and cons of plastic surgery, and how social media is redefining beauty, in the new series of The Price of Perfection Kris Jenner has made waves for her ageless appearance - but Olivia Attwood has recently let slip how she really feels about her transformation. Love Island star Olivia Attwood is hosting a new series of The Price of Perfection, and has given her verdict on Kris Jenner 's alleged facelift, saying 'it's quite dystopian.' The presenter notes that plastic surgery has changed a lot in recent years, adding that 'work is becoming so sophisticated now, so undetectable, there's so many things happening on the surgery table with things like face lifts, fat grafting, stem cells, polynucleotides, things that are literally turning back the clock.' 'She looks fantastic, and I think there's no limit to what we'll see in the next 10 years in terms of the scientific development of anti-aging procedures.' In her previous series, which questioned how social media is redefining beauty, Olivia, 34, met men willing to undergo treatments in pursuit of the 'perfect penis'. This time around, she is once again investigating cosmetic surgery but also focusing on other beauty treatments including weight loss injections, which she discussed with Kate Moss 's younger sister Lottie Moss. 'It's something we all hear about so much, but I had very little understanding of how it actually works,' Olivia says. Lottie, 27, was hospitalised after taking Ozempic – which is prescribed for type 2 diabetes and not meant for weight loss – which she got from a friend. 'It had a lot of press, but I wanted to understand more – why someone so petite would take Ozempic,' Olivia says. 'It's not an easy conversation to have when Lottie knows she's probably going to receive a fair amount of backlash, but she was really honest. It's important to have those conversations.' Olivia, who had her breast augmentation 'revised' and admits her lips were 'once too big', is well aware of the potential risks of surgery, and advocates for more awareness. 'Research the surgeons,' she urges. 'You have to be scrupulous because some surgeons delete bad reviews and post fake good ones.' The new series features a cosmetic procedure in Turkey, which has become a popular destination for surgery, and the presenter feared the worst when her team were told they would not be allowed to film the procedure after all. 'I was thinking, 'This is a massive red flag. Why have they suddenly changed their minds?'' she says. However, Olivia is aware that, having had plastic surgery herself, not everyone will heed her warnings about the dangers of unresearched surgery. 'I'm not going to give a lecture or be holier than now, especially as someone that's had cosmetic procedures, I'm never going to stand on a pedestal and go, don't do this, don't do that,' she says. 'I'm more just like, here, let me give you the information, a cross section of the industry, and then people can make decisions for themselves.'
