SV Hamburg legend Horst Hrubesch has warned of too much euphoria at the club after their return into the Bundesliga.
Former Bundesliga and European champions Hamburg were relegated for the first time from the top flight and it took them seven years to clinch promotion last month.

There were big celebrations in the city and at the club, but former West Germany and Hamburg striker said the club and the players must now prove their worth.
"We all know the talk: That we belong in the top flight. That we have a brand that is recognised worldwide. That HSV has an importance that can't really be measured,' Hrubesch told Kicker sports magazine.
"But one thing is clear: once you've been away for five, six, seven years and then have to start again, you have to reorganise, reassess, redo, do something new."
Hrubesch, 74, won the European Cup in 1983 and three Bundesliga titles with Hamburg and Euro 1980 with the national team. He returned to Hamburg in 2020 as head of their academy.

Hrubesch said that it was now essential to form a competitive squad in summer to stay up.
"We have to go through the entire squad and make sure that we fill every position adequately. And I believe that's what those responsible will do," he said.

Badé set for Leverkusen medical, per Sky and Fabrizio Romano

Loïc Badé's move from Sevilla to Bayer Leverkusen can be considered a done deal, Sky Germany reports. Leverkusen have reached total agreement with the La Liga side following a prior verbal agreement with the player. Furthermore, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has also approved the transfer, with Badé set to sign a contract until 2030. The total fee varies from report to report, but Romano believes the Bundesliga club will pay €29million plus €4million in add-ons. Meanwhile, Sky Italia's Luca Bendoni notes that there is a 10% sell-on clause for Sevilla should the Frenchman ever leave Leverkusen. A medical scheduled for today, Wednesday 20 August, will be conducted alongside fellow arrival Claudio Echeverri.

PSG, Tottenham Receive Good News on Everton Target as Atletico Madrid Offer Rejected

With just days remaining in the summer transfer window, PSG face questions about whether they will make one or two moves before it closes. One area the Parisians could strengthen is the depth of their attack. Fichajes recently reported that Takefusa Kubo is on PSG's radar, though any deal would likely hinge on Kang-in Lee's potential departure amid ongoing transfer rumors. Last season, Kubo scored eight goals and added six assists, establishing himself as one of La Liga's most productive wingers. Everton have also reportedly contacted Real Sociedad about a possible move for the Japanese star, according to Fabrizio Romano. Real Sociedad reject offer for PSG, Tottenham targetFichajes reports that Atlético de Madrid are eager to bring Kubo from Real Sociedad. The Madrid club has reportedly offered €35 million plus goalkeeper Carlos Marín, a standout in Atlético's reserve team. However, Real Sociedad's response was firm: they won't negotiate for less than €60 million, close to Kubo's release clause. The report mention that from the player's point of view, the situation is complicated. Kubo feels at home at Real Sociedad, where he plays a key role and enjoys strong support from the fans. On top of that, the Basque club will compete in European competitions, giving him an international stage to keep developing. Recently, Fichajes reported that Kubo's future is making headlines in the summer transfer window. The Japanese winger has requested to leave Real Sociedad, sparking interest from three major European clubs: Atlético de Madrid, Tottenham, and PSG.
