The production is powered by an exceptional network of collaborators, including Bisht Aljazeera, providing authentic craftsmanship; Media city, Visit Qatar, offering logistical support; the Doha Casting Project for talent selection; and the Qatar Film Community (QtrFilm) for marketing strategy. It has also been awarded a prestigious grant from the Doha Film Institute, affirming its cultural and artistic value, under the direction of Qatari filmmaker Abdulrahman Al Mana, who was part of the organising teams for the FIFA World Cup 2022 and the AFC Asian Cup 2024. His accolades include the Award of Best Three Directors with Honours Mention at the Greece Athena Film Festival, and Best Asian Director from the Swedish International Film Festival. A graduate with a Bachelor's degree with honours in Film and TV Production from Keele University in the United Kingdom, Al Mana combines international expertise with a deep passion for representing Qatari culture on screen. 'I always look forward to participate in building a bright future for the country and achieving the vision of the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani through Qatar National Vision 2030,' Al Mana said. This season invites communities to explore fresh connections through art, literature, design, film, music, hospitality, trade and culinary experiences, encouraging dialogue and collaboration across cultures. 'Our fall season with Argentina and Chile is about sharing stories, ideas and traditions that bring people closer together. SEPTEMBER A Musical Encounter: Sounds of Qatar and Argentina (QNCC):September 14. Organiser: Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra. As part of Qatar Museums' Year of Culture with Argentina and Chile, the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra will present a special preview performance in Doha ahead of its upcoming concert at the world-renowned Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires on September 17. This cross-cultural programme, conducted by Argentine maestro Enrique Diemecke, celebrates the rich musical dialogue between Qatar and Latin America. The evening features Astor Piazzolla's iconic Concerto for Bandoneón 'Aconcagua,' performed by acclaimed soloist Victor Hugo Villena, as well as works by celebrated Argentine composers Esteban Benzecry and Alberto Ginastera. 10th Local Date Festival set to begin on July 24 at Souq Waqif

Tribune News Network Doha The 10th edition (Bronze Jubilee) of the Local Date Festival will begin on July 24 at the Eastern Square in Souq Waqif. Organised by the Ministry of Municipality in collaboration with Souq Waqif management, the festival will run until August 7. The festival aims to support local farmers, promote sustainable agriculture, and encourage the consumption of locally grown produce. Visitors can explore various locally grown date varieties, engage with farmers, and learn about traditional farming practices. In addition to date tastings and sales, the festival features cultural activities, traditional music performances, and live date-processing demonstrations, offering a deeper look into Qatar's long-standing date farming traditions.
