Frankie confesses feelings for Jacob in Hollyoaks - but unexpected scenes follow

Metro4 hours ago

Trigger warning: This article contains discussion of child sexual abuse and child exploitation.
Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith) tells Jacob Omari (Ethaniel Davy) that she has feelings for him in Hollyoaks next week but the lovely moment doesn't pan out as she hoped.
The teen, as viewers know, has been through a number of ordeals over the past two years, with it coming to light that twin brother JJ (Ryan Mulvey) was sexually abusing her since she was nine years old.
After facing JJ in court and getting justice, Frankie was subsequently targeted by Grace Black (Tamara Wall) – her aunt through marriage – who groomed her into a life of crime and exploitation.
With Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson) rescuing her from captivity, Frankie and fellow teens Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) and Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence) escaped their captors, with a tense showdown last month ending with the trio shooting DI Banks (Drew Cain).
Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey), who is largely responsible for their ordeal, ultimately took the blame for Banks' murder, with the teens subsequently trying to move on with their lives now that they've been reunited with their families.

Doing so, however, is easier said than done. Understandably so given all they've been through.
Dillon, as viewers know, is struggling to stay off spice while Vicky has been worried about going to prison in the wake of striking Grace and leaving her in a coma.
Next week, the trio of friends spend some time together in the garden, enjoying a few drinks. Frankie is upset that Jacob is ghosting her but she soon finds him at the gate. Delighted, she suggests that he come and join them.
Later, Darren finds Jacob on the sofa and he's angry about such a thing – that is until Franke sets him straight, which leads to the patriarch offering up an apology.
Frankie and Jacob are subsequently teased over their interest in one another and – while alone in the park – Frankie bravely confesses her feelings.
Will Jacob feel the same? That remains to be seen as the nice little moment is interrupted by a message to his phone, with the young lad rushing off.

Interest piqued, Frankie follows Jacob, finding him at a caravan. Wanting answers, she quizzes the boy on who he was on the phone too. She's also upset that Jacob appears to be living at the caravan and thus she resolves to bring him some supplies.
Will romance blossom?
That would be a yes, with series star Isabelle Smith confirming to Metro that there is a future on the cards for the pair. 'I think they end up trauma bonding,' she told me in an exclusive chat.
Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) pays Rex a visit, determined to find out if he really shot DI Banks. Vicky, meanwhile, confesses to having stole Clare Devine's (Gemma Bissix) cash.
Dillon gets his results back, with Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) confirming they're all clear. However, getting intimate proves difficult for Dillon – with an unexpected turn of events set to transpire. More on that here.
In the wake of a discovery about Dillon, Lucas starts hitting himself, with Ste pleading with his son to take it out on him instead.
Clare visits Grace at the hospital and informs her all about her latest plan. Grace remains unconscious as Clare details her plot.
Bobby Costello (Zak Sutcliffe), meanwhile, is missing in the wake of this week's events – and Myra (Nicole Barber-Lane) has some explaining to do.
Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) gets wind of the fact that Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) was harbouring Bobby.
Mercy pleads with Tone not to go to the police and Mr Hollyoaks might just comply with her request as he soon has other things on his mind after discovering that Diane (Alex Fletcher) has a date planned.
'It will be revealed why she has taken a bit of an interest to him. But who Jacob's mum is – that's going to have an impact on Frankie and Darren's relationship. It's not going to be a straightforward love story and I think there will be some bumps along the way.
'It's been nice to play a lighter story and find different emotions in Frankie and how she would deal with things.
'I am getting scripts through [and I'm thinking] I've never had to navigate Frankie in that kind of situation – so it's been fun for me because I've been challenged in a different way.' More Trending
But while it seems there is light at the tunnel for Frankie there might also be more trauma, with Dillon uncovering the truth about which of them fired the bullet that shot DI Banks.
The question is: who was it? And will this create further trauma for them as they navigate this next chapter of their lives?

Danny Dyer ‘never felt nerves' like it on daughter's wedding day

Love Island star Dani Dyer wed sportsman Bowen last month. Discussing the ceremony on their podcast, Live And Let Dyers, Dani said the day left her feeling so emotional she 'couldn't talk about it'. Her father, former EastEnders actor Dyer, said of the moment he walked her down the aisle: 'My heart was beating through my f***ing chest. 'I've done a lot of heavy s***. You know, I've done a lot of theatre and the awards things and everything like that, and there's a little bit of nerves, but I've never felt nerves like that. You know, just hanging on for dear life!' Dyer, who has recently been filming the second series of hit drama Rivals, said he felt 'choked up' at seeing the happy couple together. He went on: 'I needed just to contain myself. Because obviously it's a huge day for everyone in your family, but particularly the tradition of marriages – it's your father giving away your daughter, you know?' The pair also joked about how Bowen's nerves meant he got his bride's name mixed up during the vows. 'He f***ed your name up a few times,' Dyer told the podcast. 'Obviously it's Dani Charlotte Dyer, then he called me Charlotte, didn't he?' Dani added. 'We had to start it again! It was so funny!' Knowing full well how the Panesars might react and what Ravi Gulati is capable of, Bernie allows them to think Vicki is a thief. As they question her ability to run the accounts, believing money has gone missing, Suki Panesar is adamant she is capable - while viewers know this is because Bernie knows all about Suki's involvement in her brother Keanu Taylor's demise. As is Kathy Beale, involved that is, so when she finds out where Vicki has got the money from it seems she panics over Bernie's actions and the link to Suki. Kathy wasted no time in telling Suki that Bernie has stolen money from the accounts, but Priya finds out too and tells Ravi. Ravi requests an audience with her, and with nowhere to hide it's this moment that Bernie lies that Vicki is the one responsible for her crime. ‌ Determined to teach Vicki a lesson, Ravi and Priya demand action only for Suki to insist otherwise. Bernie actively encourages action though, confronting and goading Vicki before heading to see the Panesars, asking why they haven't done anything about Vicki. As she tries to play it off as a panic attack it happens again - so what is wrong with Elaine? Johnny also has some news next week as he and partner Felix Baker agree to move in together. There's also more trouble on the way for teen Tommy Moon, as Joel Marshall tightens his grasp on him and continues to lead him down the wrong path. ‌ Tommy's mother Kat Moon takes it upon herself to tell Joel's dad Ross about them stealing from the shop, but how will they react? With husband Alfie Moon AWOL, with him having claimed to be visiting his brother in Australia when fans know he's actually off to find Kat's daughter Zoe Slater in secret, Kat turns to her cousin Stacey Slater. Stacey makes a Walford comeback after some time away, joined by her kids Hope and Arthur. Stacey claims she hasn't heard from Alfie only for her mother Jean to admit there was a phone call that morning. ‌ Kat calls Spencer wanting to speak to Alfie, but she's stunned to learn Alfie isn't really there and never was. With his lies rumbled, Kat confronts her cousin but what will she reveal? Finally next week there's a reunion for Lauren Branning and Peter Beale just weeks after they became locked in a custody battle and split "for good". As they talk things through they end up spending the night together, and agree to reunite. Lauren is of course hiding the fact that she kissed Zack Hudson while still with Peter, but the pair agree to keep it a secret. Peter's mother Cindy Beale soon sticks her nose in, issuing Lauren a stern warning but what does she have to say? Emmerdale spoilers - Icon faces death, new villain arrives and Vinny's turmoil

Emmerdale fans will see the arrivals of two new characters next week, both causing trouble on the ITV soap, with danger, betrayals, discoveries and secrets under threat There's plenty of carnage coming up on Emmerdale, with two new faces, secrets under wraps and a brutal attack. One iconic character faces death after a violent attack, with him rushed to hospital in a life-threatening condition. Someone is double crossed, and it could have serious repercussions. ‌ A character is nervous over their recent near-kiss with someone else as he fears it could be exposed, while a feud rumbles on too. Kicking things off, there's a horrifying twist for Paddy Kirk next week. ‌ Paddy, who has been on the soap for decades, is brutally attacked and left lifeless, as his dad Bear races to save him. Amid a time of conflict between the father and son, Bear battles to save his son's life when the vet is injured badly by a dog. Paddy is trying to rescue a sheep caught in the fence on the land of new farmer Celia, only to be caught and bitten by an aggressive dog. Bear manages to save him, but he's left traumatised by the incident. As Paddy's loved ones gather at the hospital, he emerges from surgery. EastEnders Shane Richie addresses Alfie 'exit' and teases huge Zoe Slater twist But he and wife Mandy Dingle are reeling when Bear launches a verbal attack on his son's character. Taking the words to heart, a heartbroken Paddy sobs silently before struggling in the fallout. Soon he heads for Celia's farm to confront her about the attack but it doesn't go well. He blames Bear for this and the pair are further apart than ever before. Telling his dad to move out, he's clear he wants nothing to do with him but will this be it for them amid Bear's own mystery worrying storyline? Celia isn't the only new arrival to the show next week, as newcomer Ray, a new villain, also makes his mark. As Ross Barton and his brother Lewis Barton's secret weed hustle continues, Mack Boyd makes a horrifying decision amid his own involvement in the plot. ‌ With Moira Dingle still facing financial issues and struggling to keep the farm, with Mack still thinking he's to blame, they consider whether to sell the weed to a dealer for a huge sum of money. When Lewis refuses, Mack goes behind their backs and agrees to sell up to Ray. Lewis assumes his brother Ross has betrayed him and their relationship falls apart as Mack feels guilty over what he's done. Mack is left desperate though without the brothers on board, as he struggles to meet the dealer's demands. ‌ So when all the plants go missing from the barn, Ross accuses Mack of stealing it and selling it all to Ray but he protests his innocence. So who has taken the weed and where is it now? Vinny Dingle also faces turmoil next week after he recently tried to kiss his pal Kammy Hadiq. While Kammy has said he won't tell anyone including Vinny's fiancée Gabby Thomas, Vinny can't help but fear it will be exposed. He's avoiding his pal so when Gabby invites Kammy to their engagement party, Vinny is in turmoil. Finally next week Sarah Sugden supports her grieving grandfather Cain Dingle who's upset when the whole family is barred from his son Nate Robinson's funeral by Tracy.
