Sitha App: Gig Economy For Her
Available on iOS and Android, the Sitha app enables women to list services or products be it tuitions, handmade jewellery, baking, decoration, or dance classes and directly connect with customers. 'You don't need to be a techie or even have prior business experience. If you have a skill, that's enough,' she adds.
What makes Sitha unique is its dual economy model: it supports both service providers and product sellers, all within a single app. 'Whether you're a journalist who also teaches classical dance, or a homemaker who bakes amazing cupcakes, Sitha gives you visibility and a marketplace,' Swathi says.
For women worried about using tech or navigating a digital platform, Sitha offers handholding too. 'If someone sends a message on WhatsApp, our team will call and help them create their profile. We even upload their services for them in some cases,' she says. Importantly, there's no charge for this.
The app is currently live in India and offers over 20 categories of services. The goal is to keep expanding, building based on real feedback from the community. 'Right now, we're focusing on infrastructure — giving women a place to start. Next, we'll help with branding, leads, and building a customer base,' Swathi shares.
And it's all built with heart. The journey to launching Sitha took about a year. From researching market gaps to multiple design iterations, every step has been led by one core belief 'work should be accessible to every woman'. 'Not everyone wants a 9-to-5 job. Life is unpredictable, you might lose a job, or need to take a break. Sitha is that gentle fallback that says, 'Hey, you still have something to offer. Let's make it work',' the entrepreneur reminds.

GPT-5 makes a mark on Mac vibe coding with key improvements: Here are the details
The latest version of OpenAI's GPT model, GPT-5, is making waves in the coding world, particularly among Mac Vibe developers. While the GPT family has been a part of the programming landscape for quite some time, this new iteration brings key advancements, offering more precise suggestions and actionable solutions. For those using Mac Vibe, these updates are a game changer, transforming how they approach coding. Tasks are becoming more streamlined, faster, and ultimately, more productive. But GPT-5 is just part of the story. OpenAI has also rolled out several new features for ChatGPT, including improved customisation, a refined voice mode, and a redesigned interface. However, the real headline is the leap in its vibe coding abilities. It's not just about generating code; it's about understanding the project's needs and delivering smart, context aware suggestions. Developers everywhere are noticing how this improvement is making their workflows smoother, allowing them to focus on building the projects that matter. Parker Ortolani, a developer, has shared that 'GPT-5 is simply amazing. Not only does it design user interfaces on its own without needing any guidance, but it has also become much more reliable. I'm genuinely impressed with how quickly I can now code iOS and macOS apps.' GPT-5's improvements go beyond just generating faster code. It now better understands the specific needs of a project, reducing the need for constant revisions and reworking of code. This means developers can focus more on the creative and complex aspects of their work while GPT-5 takes care of the repetitive tasks. For developers, the real benefit of GPT-5 lies in how it aligns with the existing project structure. Previously, developers spent considerable time tweaking AI generated suggestions to fit their codebase. Now, GPT-5 provides code that integrates more smoothly into the project framework, reducing the need for adjustments. With its ability to grasp the context of a project, GPT-5 helps developers achieve results faster and more effectively. It's not just about working quicker; it's about producing solutions that are relevant, making the coding process more seamless. One major improvement in GPT-5 is its integration with Mac Vibe's core features. For developers, it's very important that tools work smoothly with libraries, APIs, and other components. GPT-5 ensures that generated code fits seamlessly with the platform's framework. For example, when integrating third party libraries like Firebase for data storage or Stripe for payment processing, GPT-5 can suggest the right API calls and code structure. This reduces the time spent adjusting code. Similarly, when adding authentication or connecting external data sources, GPT-5 makes these tasks faster, helping developers save time and avoid complications. GPT-5 is becoming more than just a coding assistant. It helps developers go beyond routine debugging and start thinking more strategically about their code. As it evolves, we could see it predict developer intent, flag logic issues before they surface, and integrate deeply with version control or testing tools. This shift could make coding feel less mechanical and more natural.

Meta's Threads hits 400 million monthly users in 2 years, closing gap with X user base
Meta's text-based social media app Threads has touched 400 million monthly active users (MAUs), just two years after its launch. The update came from Instagram head Adam Mosseri, who shared the numbers while recalling how the platform started as an idea to rival Twitter, now called X, and has since grown into a space for open latest figure shows the app has added 50 million new monthly users in the past three months. In April this year, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg had said Threads had reached 350 million MAUs, which was already an increase from 320 million in January. If the current pace continues, the platform could end the year with well over 100 million new is still behind X in overall monthly users, but the difference is shrinking. The last available numbers from X's former CEO Linda Yaccarino in April suggested the platform had 'nearly 600 million' MAUs, slightly above the 586 million she mentioned in January. Since going private, X has not released independently verified figures. Fresh data from analytics firm Similarweb shows that Threads is catching up with X in mobile app usage. In June 2025, the Threads app for iOS and Android had 115.1 million daily active users, a jump of 127.8 per cent compared to the same month last year. In the same period, X recorded 132 million daily active mobile users, but its numbers fell 15.2 per cent web usage, X continues to have a clear lead. In June, it saw an average of 145.8 million daily visits on browsers globally, while Threads recorded just 6.9 steady rise of Threads is being linked to the regular rollout of new features over the past year. The platform has added direct messaging independent of Instagram, integration with the fediverse, custom feeds, AI-powered tools, spoiler tags, and a highlight option. These changes, though small individually, are helping improve the user experience and attracting those looking for an alternative to in his post, thanked users for being part of the journey and said there is still a lot of work to be done. 'More to come,' he added, hinting at further platform is also undergoing a management change. From next month, Connor Hayes will handle daily operations, taking over from Mosseri, though Mosseri will continue to oversee Threads in his wider role at Instagram. It is not yet clear how this leadership change will influence its growth plans.- Ends
