Fox's makes huge change to popular chocolate bars for first time in 10 years – and they're on supermarket shelves now

FOX'S has has made a huge change to one of its popular chocolate bars for the first time in a decade - and they're on supermarket shelves now.
The iconic biscuit-makers, which started making brandy snaps in 1853, has brought out a brand new edition of its Rocky bars.

The lunchbox favourites already come in a range of flavours including chocolate, caramel, orange, mint, and salted caramel.
However, Fox's has now launched new Rocky Stack'd sandwich bars, in what it said was a "fresh twist" for the range.
The new bars combine two biscuits with a layer of cream sandwiched in between, and covered in milk chocolate.
They're available in two flavours - chocolate cream and vanilla cream.
Shoppers have already spotted the treats on supermarket shelves, after they launched exclusively in Asda stores on July 26.
The supermarket is currently selling them on offer at 96p for a six-pack.
Fox's confirmed that the bars would be rolled out to other major supermarkets from September 7, and will retail at £1.50 for a six-pack.
Fox's Burton Company said it was the first "major innovation" to its Rocky bars, which were first launched in the 1990s, in 10 years.
Some fans who have already tried the biscuits pointed out that they're very similar to another iconic Fox's treat - the Fox's Favourites Classics.
"They taste exactly like a classic but they are only 96p so can't complain," one fan commented on Facebook.
Another said the new bars were "basically a rebranded Fox's Classic".
FBC's trade marketing director David Hebson said: 'Rocky has always stood for quality and great taste, and we're proud to be one of the top household names in the biscuit category.
"With STACK'd, we're doubling down on those values while giving shoppers the 'new news' they're craving in the chocolate biscuit bar aisle.
'This is all about offering a more indulgent and satisfying option – whether it's evening snacking or an on-the-go treat – and we believe it gives retailers a powerful new reason to back the Rocky brand.'
Other new Fox's flavours
The launch comes after Fox's jumped on the Dubai-style chocolate trend earlier this year, launching new biscuits inspired by the viral flavour.
Fox's Chocolatey Dubai Style Pistachio Indulgent Creams launched in Tesco stores this summer, selling for £2.35 for Clubcard members.
If you don't have a Clubcard, the limited edition biscuits are £3 per pack.
Each pack contains eight of biscuits, featuring a chocolate-encased shortcake with creamy centre and crispy pistachio filling made using real nuts.
Meanwhile, Fox's made a change to its much-loved Party Rings in April this year - marking the first shake-up in the biscuits' 42-year history.
The brand launched "Under the Sea Minis", which featured "fun, fish shapes" instead of the classic ring, exclusively in Asda stores for 12 weeks.

Aldi launches temporary Specialbuy tattoos like air fryers

The tattoos were created by the supermarket to celebrate some of its 'most iconic, customer favourite items' from the middle aisle. In light of the new tattoo range, research commissioned by Aldi has revealed a generational shift in attitudes to tattoos, with younger generations rejecting the traditional view that tattoos must be permanent commitments. The study of 2,000 Brits found two-fifths (43%) of Gen Z people believe tattoos are part of an "evolving canvas" that can be updated and refreshed over time, compared to just 14% of "Baby Boomers" who still see them as lifelong commitments. Aldi has launched a collection of temporary tattoos (Image: Aldi) The tattoo generational divide extends even further to tattoo regret. 72% of Brits aged 55 and over said they would be put off getting a tattoo in case they regret the decision. However, a quarter (25%) of Gen Z people aren't worried at all, claiming they can always get it covered or removed in the future. In fact, 61% of Gen Z wouldn't think twice about getting a tattoo, with 30% saying they would happily get one tomorrow. Of the Brits surveyed, 45% would even consider getting a tattoo related to a brand or product they genuinely love, as over half (57%) of Gen Z and Millennials admit they see tattoos as a fashion accessory rather than a permanent commitment. As Brits' fear of tattoo regret was revealed, the survey also found that over half of the nation (58%) have considered using temporary tattoos as an alternative to the more permanent version. The research comes as Aldi reveals its unusual tattoo collection, celebrating the popularity of the supermarket's ever-changing Specialbuy range, with products like the viral Pilates machine which almost completely sold out across the nation in just 24 hours. The temporary tattoos also feature one of Aldi's viral Air Fryer Specialbuys as the supermarket sold a total of over 90,000 air fryers last year alone, with new drops often selling out in less than a day. The Kamado BBQ is another product to be honoured in temporary tattoo form. After the BBQ initially launched in 2018, it quickly became a firm favourite with the Specialbuy selling out in just a few days. The full temporary tattoo collection features designs inspired by: From everyday essentials that become instant sell-outs, to bizarre seasonal items that spark social media frenzies, each tattoo design represents a product that has achieved famous status among Aldi shoppers. The supermarket own-brand salt and vinegar crisps that beat Tyrrells and Kettle on taste and price

A HOST of supermarkets' own-brand salt and vinegar crisps have been crowned better than Tyrrells and Kettle. A blind test carried out by 72 crisp enthusiasts for Which? found six retailer own-brand varieties pipped their branded counterparts in terms of both flavour and price. 1 Tasters tried 10 different varieties of the popular flavour in total, including three branded bags - Tyrrell's, Kettle and Pipers. Which? testers found Asda 's Extra Special Sea Salt and Chardonnay Wine Vinegar Hand Cooked Crisps (£1.34 for 150g) came out top – scoring 78%. The crisps were rated highly on texture, thickness and flavour, earning a Which? Best Buy tag. Costing around half the price of the big brands, they also received a Great Value recommendation. Also impressing Which?'s tasters and earning the Which? Best Buy was Co-op Irresistible Hand Cooked Sea Salt and Chardonnay Wine Vinegar Crisps (£1.70 for 150g), which scored 75%. Tasters said they had an appetising aroma and appearance, with most agreeing they were the right thickness and crispiness. The majority of tasters said the saltiness of the crisps was good – though some found that the vinegar was slightly too much, so these would be a good choice for fans of especially zingy crisps. Aldi's Specially Selected Sea Salt and Chardonnay Vinegar Hand Cooked Crisps (£1.09 for 150g) scored 69% and were both the cheapest on test and a popular choice among Which?'s tasters who were impressed by the crispness and thickness. Most agreed that the seasoning was about right, though some wanted them to be a bit more salty, while others would have liked the crisps to be more vinegary. Morrisons The Best Hand Cooked Sea Salt and Suffolk Cider Vinegar Crisps (£1.30 for 125g) scored 67%. Most of the tasters in the test said these looked appealing. Two thirds thought they were the perfect thickness but lacked flavour compared to the Which? Best Buys. M&S Hand Cooked Sea Salt and Balsamic Vinegar Crisps (£1.80 for 150g) scored 66%. Half of Which?'s tasters found the salt level of these crisps to be perfect, though a third longed for a sharper vinegar kick. Despite their high-end reputations and prices, none of the branded crisps in Which?'s taste test scored as highly as the supermarket versions. Tyrrell's Sea Salt and Cider Vinegar Crisps (from £1.75 for 150g) scored 63%. While it was the best of the brands on test, they did not wow Which? tasters. Most of the panel enjoyed their thickness and crispness, but nearly half found these crisps pale-looking and lacking in flavour. Kettle Sea Salt and Balsamic Vinegar of Modena Potato Chips (£2.40 for 130g) scored 60%. These widely available Kettle crisps were judged to be mediocre, with thickness and crispiness being their stronger points. Many of Which?'s tasters thought they were bland, and would have liked them to be more salty and more vinegary. Pipers Burrow Hill Cider Vinegar and Sea Salt Crisps, the most expensive crisps tested at £3 per 150g, came in last with a disappointing 57%. While Which? tasters agreed these had a good thickness and crispiness, very few felt the salt and vinegar flavour hit the spot. Most wanted more flavour out of these pricey crisps. Jessica Carson, Which? food and health editor, said: "Our Which? taste tests show you don't have to splash out on the more expensive brand name crisps to get great flavour and a satisfying crunch. 'If you're after that classic salt and vinegar zing, a supermarket own-label is the best bet. "Asda's and Co-op's posh crisps wowed our panel of crisp connoisseurs – outperforming the big names on every front." In other news, a supermarket instant coffee was crowned better than a host of branded counterparts including Nescafe and Kenco. Plus, the supermarket ice cream that's identical to Magnum and 46% cheaper. The best airlines in the world — according to you

Each year the Times and Sunday Times Travel Awards celebrate the very best of the business. But while editors decide on the shortlist, it's you, the readers, who choose the winners — based on the holiday companies and destinations that have impressed you over the past 12 months. Last year, more than 470,000 votes were cast for more than 100 companies and destinations. This year, for the first time, we have two different airline categories — breaking it down into best short-haul and best long-haul carriers to better reflect our travel habits. I've been writing about airlines and aviation for a decade, and have flown all over the world on scores of them, from Asia to America, so I know a thing or two about the best (and the worst). Now is the time to have your own say on the world's best airlines — and by voting you could win prizes ranging from a £1,600 mini-break in a pretty corner of Wales to a £45,000 itinerary around India's finest hotels. But before you click through to cast your vote, let's look at how you voted last year. Last year we had just one airline category, covering both short-haul and long-haul, which Emirates won. The Dubai-based carrier is one of the world's mega-connectors — each year it carries tens of millions of passengers, most of them transiting via its Gulf hub. British Airways came second and Singapore Airlines third. Emirates has always been a reader favourite. It may only have clinched the top spot in 2024, but in 2023 and 2022 it was in a solid second place after British Airways. Singapore Airlines, which flies to Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester, has been in third place for the past three years. It's perhaps no surprise that British Airways lost out in 2024. In the latest Which? Travel report of short-haul airlines, it scored a middling 57 per cent for customer satisfaction score. • Have your say here — and be in with a chance of winning a great prize Singapore Airlines is regarded as one of the best airlines in the world, thanks to excellent customer service and a modern fleet, although it's likely readers don't fly it as often as our flag carrier. All three airlines, as well as Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Turkish Airlines, Tui Airways and Qantas, are shortlisted in the long-haul airline category. But this year, there is now also a best short-haul airline category, which means that budget carriers including easyJet, Ryanair and Wizz Air are in with a chance of an award. Emirates is a highly regarded carrier, loved for its convenient home base of Dubai and for its fleet of Airbus A380s, some of the sky's most comfortable and roomy planes. The 'Gulfie', so-called for its base in the Gulf, is also one of the world's most-connected airlines, this year launching new routes to exciting cities including Siem Reap in Cambodia and Shenzhen in southern China. It serves eight airports in the UK, including smaller hubs such as Glasgow and Newcastle. I have flown many times with Emirates over the past few years — always in economy — and have been consistently impressed with the product, particularly on its spacious Airbus A380s. Children are well catered for with toys and Emirates merch, and the in-flight entertainment is one of the best in the sky (if you can forgive the editing out of swear words). The same can be said of its premium cabins — in business class there's even an airport chauffeur thrown in with the fare and in first you can have a shower at 37,000ft. Given how much you fly, we know you have opinions on airlines — both good and bad. We want to know the airlines that you think have gone above and beyond in the past year, whether that's through superb customer service, a world-leading product or exciting new destinations, and now's the time to let us know. Click here to vote — you'll need to choose one in each category in order to be entered for the prizes.
