Mossad chief sought US help to relocate Palestinians from Gaza: Sources
Barnea reportedly met with Steve Witkoff, US President Donald Trump's envoy, and told him that 'Israel' had been in contact with Ethiopia, Indonesia, and Libya. The Mossad chief claimed those countries expressed openness to accepting significant numbers of displaced Palestinians from Gaza.
During the meeting, Barnea proposed that the United States offer incentives to encourage those nations and assist 'Israel' in advancing the plan. One of the sources said Witkoff did not commit to the idea, and it remains unclear whether the US will take an active role in the effort.
In February, President Trump floated a proposal to remove Gaza's entire population, nearly two million people, and rebuild the enclave. However, the White House later abandoned the idea following strong opposition from Arab states.
'Israeli' officials said the Trump administration told them that if Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wished to pursue the plan, 'Israel' would need to find countries willing to receive displaced Palestinians.

Houthis launch drone strikes on 'Israel' over Gaza war, Hudaydah attack
The Yemeni armed forces, led by the Houthi movement, announced on Monday that they carried out a 'qualitative military operation' targeting multiple 'Israeli' sites in response to the genocide in Gaza and a recent 'Israeli' strike on Yemen's Hudaydah port. In a statement, the Houthis said their drone force hit Lod Airport, a military site in the Yafa area, Eilat Port, Ramon Airport, and a vital target in Ashdod using five drones. The group claimed the operation was successful and achieved its objectives. They stated that the attack as part of Yemen's 'religious, moral, and humanitarian duty' to support the Palestinian people and condemned the ongoing 'Israeli' aggression against Gaza. 'The great Yemen, confident in God, has faced hostile attacks in recent months and stood firm. We are fully prepared to confront any future aggression,' the statement read. The Houthis reaffirmed their commitment to continue attacks until the 'Israeli' offensive on Gaza ends and the siege is lifted. 'Operations will not stop until the aggression on Gaza stops,' they declared, concluding with slogans of resistance and support for Palestinians. The announcement comes amid heightened tensions in the Red Sea and growing regional fallout from the war in Gaza.

Pope Leo holds first call with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas
Pope Leo held his first official conversation with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday, focusing on the escalating violence in Gaza and the West Bank, the Vatican announced. According to a statement, 'The Holy Father repeated his appeal for international humanitarian law to be fully respected, emphasising in particular the obligation to protect civilians and sacred places, the prohibition of the indiscriminate use of force and of the forced transfer of the population.' The pope also stressed 'the urgent need to provide assistance to those most vulnerable to the consequences of the conflict and to allow the adequate entry of humanitarian aid.' The discussion came just days after Pope Leo spoke by phone with 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, following an 'Israeli' strike on Gaza's only Catholic Church that killed three people. On Sunday, the pontiff condemned the 'barbarity' of the war in Gaza and renewed his call for a peaceful resolution to the conflict. The Vatican, which officially recognized the State of Palestine in 2015 through a bilateral agreement, continues to advocate for a two-state solution. In 2014, Pope Francis hosted a symbolic meeting in the Vatican gardens where then-'Israeli' President Shimon Peres and Abbas planted an olive tree as a gesture of peace.

Israel Attacks Hodeidah Port and Katz Threatens the Houthis
Khaberni -The Israeli military announced that it attacked facilities inside the port of Hodeidah in western Yemen on Monday, claiming to prevent the rehabilitation of infrastructure for the Houthis. The army said in a statement that it targeted fuel tanks and engineering vehicles that were working on the restoration of infrastructure in the port of Hodeidah. It added that it targeted ships and boats used by the Houthis for military purposes, according to its claim. In turn, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that Israel "is strongly working to prevent an attempt to rehabilitate the infrastructure of the Houthis in Yemen." He continued, threatening that the fate of Yemen is the fate of Iran, promising the Houthis would pay a "heavy price for launching missiles at Israel." The Times of Israel quoted military officials as saying the strike was carried out using a drone, not fighter jets. In turn, media outlets affiliated with the Houthis confirmed that a series of Israeli airstrikes targeted the port of Hodeidah in the country. Last Friday, the Houthis attacked Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv with a hypersonic ballistic missile named "Palestine 2," while the Israeli military confirmed its interception at the time. Since the start of the genocidal war that Israel has committed in the Gaza Strip, the Houthis under the slogan "Support Gaza" have launched dozens of missile attacks on Israel, which in turn has launched dozens of attacks on locations in Hodeidah and Sanaa. The absence of a target bank Regarding the latest Israeli threat against the Houthis, the senior analyst for Yemen at the International Crisis Group, Ahmed Nagi, said that there are differences between Israel's war against the Houthis and its war against Iran. Nagi clarified in a statement to Al Jazeera Net that the obstacle facing Israel in Yemen is the absence of a target bank due to the scarcity of intelligence information about the military capabilities of the Houthis, therefore current Israeli strikes are focused on large facilities such as ports, airports, and power stations to create a scene of destruction, while strikes against actual military targets have not been carried out. He pointed out that the Houthis rely on ambiguity in their military structure, which complicates tracking of leadership, in addition to their use of mobile missile platforms that are easily replaced if targeted, reducing the significance of any Israeli military operations against these targets. الوسوم :
