On Sunday, Cobra Kai actor Martin Kove was reportedly asked to leave a fan convention after co-star Alicia Hannah-Kim accused him of biting her during a meet-and-greet session.
The incident took place at Summer Con in Puyallup, Washington, where the cast had gathered to interact with fans, according to a report filed with the Puyallup Police Department.
As detailed in the report, Hannah-Kim — who plays South Korean sensei Kim Da-Eun — approached Kove to greet him when he allegedly grabbed her arm and bit her. She screamed in pain, at which point Kove reportedly began kissing the area where he had bitten her. The bite was described as severe, 'almost drawing blood,' according to Hannah-Kim's statement to police.
When Hannah-Kim and her husband, actor Sebastian Roché, confronted Kove about the incident, he allegedly became defensive and claimed he had done it "for fun."
Law enforcement was contacted, and charges were initially considered. However, Hannah-Kim later chose not to press charges, effectively sparing Kove from potential legal consequences.

'Love Island' fans cry foul as Jeremiah and Hannah leave villa after public vote

Love Island USA's latest fire‑pit ceremony drew sharp criticism when Hannah and Jeremiah were eliminated after public voting. Nic's text confirmed the public had chosen the bottom three men and women. For the women, Iris, Hannah and Amaya were vulnerable; the men's lowest were Jeremiah, Austin and Pepe. Yet the final decision lay with the cast. Chelley and Taylor announced Hannah and Jeremiah's exit, prompting widespread viewer outcry. Many viewers expressed frustration over the elimination results, alleging that the public vote was manipulated. Fans claimed technical issues with the voting app prevented them from casting their votes and criticised the decision to let islanders choose who went home, especially when popular contestants were among those at risk. The uproar grew when fans noted an error message they received while voting, which they suspect affected results. Despite heartfelt deliberations among Olandria, Cierra, Huda, Chelley, Nic, Taylor and Ace, choosing between close friends sparked emotional drama. Chelley said it was 'tearing apart' the group before tears followed Hannah's exit. With the show halfway through, the Islanders are gearing up for Casa Amor, Love Island USA's midpoint twist where original contestants split into two villas with new bombshells which usually kicks off around Episode 20, and runs for 3–5 episodes. Love Island USA Season 7 airs six nights weekly (Thu–Tue) at 9 pm ET on Peacock, with Wednesdays off.

BTS member SUGA's military service ends

SUGA is the last to complete his service. Photo: AFP SUGA, a member of the K-pop megaband BTS, will officially complete his mandatory military service on Saturday, marking the full return of all seven members of the global supergroup from duty. South Korea's most lucrative musical act has been on a self-described "hiatus" since 2022 as its members undertook the mandatory service required of all South Korean men under 30 due to tensions with the nuclear-armed North. SUGA will be the last to complete his service, ahead of the group's widely anticipated return to activities as a full unit. His final day concludes at 11:59:59 pm, according to the band's agency HYBE and South Korea's Military Manpower Administration. The rapper, who served as a social service agent — an alternative form of military duty — effectively completed his service on Wednesday after using up his remaining leave, according to his label. "Above all else, I wanted to .... sincerely thank our fans who waited for me all this time," SUGA told the group's fans - collectively known as ARMY - on the platform Weverse. "I've missed you so much." Before entering military service, the megaband generated more than 5.5 trillion won ($4 billion) in yearly economic impact, according to the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute. Analysts expect HYBE's operating profit to jump next year, driven in part by BTS's anticipated return to large-scale touring, with some projections forecasting a 71 per cent year-on-year increase. "The importance of BTS's reunion to HYBE, K-pop and South Korea at large cannot be overstated. They are singular in their part of the Korean Wave," Grace Kao, a sociology professor at Yale University, told AFP. "I think their next tour will be their biggest yet." Since their release last week, band leader RM has appeared at Art Basel in Switzerland as the new global ambassador for Samsung's Art TV, while member V was spotted attending a piano recital in Seoul alongside Old Boy filmmaker Park Chan-wook.
