Amitabh Bachchan finished 7 projects in 2 hours, crew jokes about ‘bad precedent'; Big B says ‘I just love this!'

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan is known for his dedication, discipline and unstoppable energy. At 82, he's showing no signs of slowing down. In a recent blog post, the superstar revealed that he completed five ad films and two photo shoots in only two hours—so fast that even the director jokingly warned him about setting a 'bad precedent' in the industry. Zooming through the shoot Writing on his blog, Big B shared, 'Working away .. and the joy of it .. did 5 films and 2 photo shoots in about 2 hrs .. of course they were for an Ad., for a client endorsement .. ! but still !!' He finished the work so quickly that it left the crew and his director friend surprised. In fact, they jokingly told him off for being too fast and efficient. He added, 'The crew and friend director tells me – 'I am spoiling the work template of work' ….they told me …'if you are going to finish an entire days work in one 4rth of half a day then, your client shall give more films to be made in the one day designated, and that shall set a bad precedent . . for all " !!Oh .. I just love this .. !!!!' Helping the crew matters more Despite the light-hearted scolding, the 'Sholay' actor shared that his main focus was to help the crew and producers by being quick and efficient, 'But the expediency of the work is helping the Producer and the crew .. I would rather do that for the benefit of the worker, than myself…' He also spoke about the many changes he has seen in the film world over the years but stopped short of sharing too much. Big B avoids talking about changes in the industry Amitabh explained why he doesn't like to comment too much on industry changes these days. According to him, anything he says could be twisted to create sensational headlines. 'Many a times they ask me what I have seen as change in the Film World .. and I have many changes noticed. BUT .. NO .. I shall not say it here , because this communication Universe has been besieged by the – IMPOTENCY OF CONTENT .. HAHAHAHA .. EACH EXPRESSION SHALL BE GIVEN A DIFFERENT MEANING IN ORDER TO ATTRACT A HEADLINE (sic).' Finding joy in work In the end, the 'Deewaar' actor summed up his thoughts by simply stating how much he enjoys what he does. 'The work is so rewarding." Even with a career spanning decades, he continues to find happiness in every role and every shoot. What's next for Big B? Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in the Tamil action drama 'Vettaiyan', directed by TJ Gnanavel and starring Rajinikanth . His next big release is 'Ramayana: Part 1', directed by Nitesh Tiwari . In this film, he will be seen as Jatayu, alongside Ranbir Kapoor , Sai Pallavi , and Yash. Amitabh Bachchan's Sunday Tradition Continues with a Thoughtful Twist

‘Suriya 47': Suriya in talks with ‘Aavesham' director Jithu Madhavan for his next: reports

It seems like Tamil superstar Suriya is adding more projects to his already packed schedule. The actor is currently working on his films with RJ Balaji and Venky Atluri. Moreover, the actor also has Vaadivaasal with ace filmmaker Vetri Maaran in the line-up. Now, the latest is that the actor is reportedly in talks with Malayalam director Jithu Madhavan, best known for helming films like Romancham and Aavesham, for an upcoming film. According to a report by Cinema Express, the director has confirmed that he's in negotiations with the star. Other details remain unknown at the moment. This comes just days after Suriya began shooting for his upcoming movie with director Venky Atluri, tentatively called Suriya 46. The film features Mamitha Baiju as the female lead. Interestingly, Suriya also has the long-awaited Vaadivaasal in the line-up. Kalaipuli S Thanu, the producer of the movie, had told The Hindu in Aprilthat the film will get rolling from June; however, there hasn't been any update on the film as of now. Jithu Madhavan turned heads with his blockbuster debut feature, Romancham. The director followed it up with the widely acclaimed blockbuster Aavesham. Starring Fahadh Faasil, the film made over ₹150 crores at the box office. Notably, it was announced earlier this year that Jithu has penned Manjummel Boys director Chidambaram's upcoming film.

Why did Mani Ratnam drop first version of Ponniyin Selvan starring Thalapathy Vijay and Mahesh Babu?

The Ponniyin Selvan franchise by Mani Ratnam, starring Chiyaan Vikram, Ravi Mohan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Trisha Krishnan, has been considered super-successful for several reasons. The epic historical drama was a two-part film series released between 2022 and 2023. However, did you know that the filmmaker had a completely different cast in mind initially when he had planned out the movie back in 2010? Yes, you read that right. Ponniyin Selvan was supposed to be made in 2010 In an old Tamil interview, Mani Ratnam's assistant and director Dhana had revealed that the former had plans to make Ponniyin Selvan as far back as 2010. He said that the filmmaker had already begun the pre-production work for the project, and several discussions had taken place. Most importantly, Dhana mentioned that Mani Ratnam had an altogether different idea about the cast of the film in mind, which did not include any of the names with whom Ponniyin Selvan was eventually made. Were Mahesh Babu, Thalapathy Vijay first choice for Ponniyin Selvan? Well, yes, Mahesh Babu and Thalapathy Vijay were the first ones to be signed to play the leads in Ponniyin Selvan. The two of them had signed the project, and a brief shooting had also taken place. However, it was Mani Ratnam who decided to stall the project, since he believed the availability of advanced VFX was not so readily abundant back then. It was dropped and then taken up almost a decade later. When Mahesh Babu confirmed brief stint with Thalapathy Vijay for Ponniyin Selvan Later on, Mahesh Babu also confirmed the same, speaking about the brief period he spent working with Thalapathy Vijay on a small photoshoot for the Mani Ratnam film. He said, 'Before seven days of the principal shoot, there was a photo shoot session with Vijay in Chennai, but unfortunately, the project got shelved. Even now, I share a close rapport with Vijay; he is a good friend."
