Ronald Acuna Jr., who plays for the Atlanta Braves, recently apologized to his manager and teammates. This comes after a month, when he had accused the manager of treating players differently. Acuna is currently recovering from knee surgery and was with the team on Wednesday while doing rehab in the minor leagues.
Ronald Acuna Jr. apologizes and moves forward
The issue erupted on April 19, when Acuna had shared a post on social media, after Atlanta Braves outfielder Jarred Kelenic was tagged out after breaking into a home run trot on a ball that stayed in the yard. The post read "if it were me, they would take me out of the game.'
Interestingly, once the game, baseball coach and Atlanta Braves' manager Brian Snitker was asked whether he spoke to Kelenic, he said:
'Was I supposed to?"
It was back in August 2019, Ronald Acuna Jr. was taken out of a game for not running hard after hitting the ball. After the game got over, Braves' manager Brian Snitker said that players must always give full effort and think about the team, and not just themselves. Snitker had said:
'He didn't run. You've got to run. It's not going to be acceptable here. As a teammate, you're responsible for 24 other guys and that name on the front is a lot more important than that name on the back of that jersey."
In connection with the incident, Acuna has now apologized to Snitker and his teammates for accusing him of 'treating players differently.'
While Acuna is now working his way back from knee surgery and started playing again in the Florida Complex League, where he hit a home run in his first game. This league is for young or recovering players. Later this week, he will move up to Triple-A, a higher level of
minor league baseball
. The Braves haven't said exactly how many rehab games he will play.
Braves' coach Rick Kranitz says team will figure out over Spencer Strider's issues
Atlanta Braves' pitcher Spencer Strider threw slower than expected during practice on Wednesday. The team manager and coach believes it's because he hasn't pitched in a while due to a hamstring injury. They still think he might be ready to return soon and possibly start a game next week against the Nationals.
Rick Kranitz, who is Atlanta Braves' coach said:
'We're all going to meet and figure out what we're going to do next.'
Brian Snitker said:
'It's going to take him repetitions and starts in order to build that velocity back, I think that's normal for anybody who has been off for the time he has."
Kranitz further added:
'Velocity is great, but it's about the action on the ball that really makes the difference, I felt like the ball was coming out really well.'

Punjab youngster in Preity Zinta's PBKS takes blame for IPL 2025 final loss, he is…
Punjab Kings (PBKS) recently suffered a close defeat by 6 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL 2025 final. In the final, RCB scored 190/9, in response to which Punjab's team could only score 184 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. PBKS' 24-year-old batsman Nehal Wadhera scored 15 runs in 18 balls, including a six, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Wadhera, who came to bat at number five, was sent to the pavilion by experienced fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the 17th over, after which PBKS started lagging behind in the title match. Nehal Wadhera has now blamed himself for the defeat in the final and called it his biggest mistake. In an interview with Hindustan Times, when Wadhera was asked if the pitch had changed in the second innings of the final, the batsman replied. The batsman replied, "I completely blame myself. If I had played better at that time, we could have definitely won. I will not blame the pitch because RCB scored 190 runs. I think I was taking the game deep." Wadhera further said, "I believe in taking the game deep and finishing it. I think it was one of those days when I could not finish the match." He further said, "Whenever there was a need to increase the pace in the tournament, I did so. However, I benefited from it except the last game." Expressing his disappointment, Nehal said, "Some days it does not click and I think this was the day when it did not happen." Wadhera spoke about his game and said, "But I don't regret that because I was taking the game deep. It was okay according to the situation because wickets were falling." He admitted his mistake and said, "But I think I could have played a little faster, which I have learned and analyzed." Nehal Wadhera expressed his commitment for the future and said, "I will do this in the future and it will help me and the team." This shows that he is committed to learning from his mistakes and performing better in the next season.

Along with MS Dhoni, these 10 players, we may not see in IPL 2026 due to...
The 18th season of the IPL has ended and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Punjab Kings to win the title for the first time. Both young and experienced players performed brilliantly in this tournament. However, this season was disappointing for some veterans, putting their IPL career in danger and this tournament could prove to be the last for them. Teams will now slowly start preparing for IPL 2026. This year was quite embarrassing for five-time champions Chennai Super Kings, as the team finished 10th for the first time and they have also started preparations for the upcoming season. Due to factors such as age, performance and fitness, many big stars playing in IPL 2025 may retire or be released by their current teams. Here we are telling you about 10 such players whose IPL career is almost over. There has been speculation about the retirement of Chennai Superkings legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni for the last several years. After the conclusion of IPL 2025, Dhoni has indicated that he will consider his future in the world's biggest T20 league. There is every possibility that he will retire before or at the end of IPL 2026. If this happens, it will be the end of an era for the IPL. Ravichandran Ashwin's return to Chennai Superkings in IPL 2025 did not go as expected. He announced his retirement from international cricket in 2024. Chennai Superkings bought him for Rs 9.75 crore in the mega auction, but he could not do justice to his price tag. Ashwin will be 39 years old by the next season. There is a possibility that the franchise may release him before the next season. In such a situation, he may decide to retire from IPL. England star all-rounder Moeen Ali has announced his retirement from international cricket. He was bought by KKR for Rs 2 crore. He played only five matches this season, in which he scored five runs and took six wickets. KKR may release him before the next season and it will be very difficult for him to find a new team. Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has retired from ODI cricket citing fitness concerns. His recent performance with Punjab Kings in the IPL has been poor. He had to withdraw midway through the tournament due to a previous injury. Many leading Indian cricket analysts have criticized Punjab Kings for buying Maxwell. Although Maxwell has a strong international record, his IPL performance has lacked consistency, in which he has failed many times. If he is released by Punjab Kings, any other team may hesitate to acquire him. Faf du Plessis captained the team after Axar Patel was injured and could not perform as expected during the season. At the age of 40, he scored 202 runs in 9 matches at a strike rate of 123. It is possible that Du Plessis may end his league cricket career. Ishant Sharma was bought by Gujarat Titans for ₹ 75 lakh. Even at the age of 36, he bowls at a good pace, but this season he played only 7 matches and took 4 wickets. His economy rate was also high, due to which keeping him in the team proved to be an expensive bowler. In such a situation, Gujarat Titans may consider releasing him before the next season. Experienced leg-spinner Karn Sharma once again got a chance to play for Mumbai Indians. The team fielded him in 6 matches and he was able to take only 7 wickets. Karn Sharma will be 38 years old by the next season. In such a situation, the franchise can release him and bet on a young spinner. Karn has played 90 matches in the IPL and taken 83 wickets. England fast bowler Richard Gleeson got a chance to play for Mumbai Indians after Chennai Super Kings. Gleeson, who took 1 wicket in 2 matches in 2024, could play only one match this time. No one bought him in the auction and Mumbai included him in their team in place of Corbin Bosch. He was able to take only one wicket in a match. He will be 38 years old by the next season. In such a situation, it is difficult for him to play in the IPL again. Experienced all-rounder Vijay Shankar was bought by Chennai Super Kings with great expectations. The team had spent Rs 1.20 crore for him in the auction. Shankar could not do anything special in the season. He scored 118 runs in 6 matches at an average of 39.33, but his strike rate was 129.67. Due to not scoring runs fast, the team removed him from the playing-11. Now it is difficult for him to play in the upcoming season of IPL. Kolkata Knight Riders bought their experienced player Manish Pandey emotionally at his base price of Rs 75 lakh. He got a chance to play in only three matches and he could score only 92 runs. Manish will be 36 years old in the next season. Kolkata team can release him and then it will be a surprise if someone buys him.
