Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander enjoyed a breakout 2024-25 season that saw him earn his first NBA Most Valuable Player award and finish as the league's scoring champion with 32.7 points per game.

Gilgeous-Alexander also collected Western Conference Finals MVP honors after averaging 31.4 points, 8.2 assists and 5.2 rebounds in the series against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
On Wednesday, just one day before Game 1 of the NBA Finals, Gilgeous-Alexander revealed a new colorway of his signature Converse SHAI 001 sneaker on Instagram.
The fifth installment in his SHAI 001 line is dubbed "Masi Blue," a tribute to his younger brother Thomasi, whose nickname "Masi" inspired both the color and dedication.
In the reveal video, Gilgeous-Alexander wrote, "SHAI 001 : MASI BLUE. Dedicated to the one that remains stoic and as cool as ice under pressure, my brother Masi. This one is for you."
The SHAI 001 'Masi Blue' features a full tonal blue upper with a sleek, zip-closure design and minimalistic branding.

The colorway draws parallels to the Thunder's home jerseys while retaining a distinct, familial narrative meant to honor Thomasi's "cooler than ice" demeanor.
This is the latest in a series of SHAI 001 releases that celebrate members of Gilgeous-Alexander's family: the "Hail Clay" release for his wife Hailey, the "Ares Grey" for his son Ares and the "Charm Black" colorway dedicated to his mother, Charmaine.
Converse plans to release "Masi Blue" in Fall 2025.

As highlighted by Blogging The Boys, Jerry Jones' Dallas Cowboys are drastically behind the league's elite in both total void-year spending and the number of high-salary players on their roster. The Eagles lead the NFL with a staggering $452 million in void-year allocations — a strategy that has allowed them to maintain one of the deepest rosters in football. Advertisement In contrast, the Cowboys rank 16th with just $44 million in future void years, most of it tied up in Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb. Philadelphia also has 10 players making at least $10 million annually, while Dallas has just five. The difference isn't necessarily about being "cheap''; it's about refusing to use every tool (or loophole) available to win now. The best teams in the league have figured it out. The salary cap isn't a hard ceiling; it's a strategy game. You can manipulate the cap through void years, restructures, and deferred money ... all with the understanding that the NFL dollar is ever inflating. Advertisement Let's dive into three big winners from practice No. 1 based on the observations from several Cowboys insiders. 1 - TE Brevyn Spann-Ford - The former UDFA is definitely the No. 2 tight end ... and is getting work with the 1's. He came out of college at Minnesota with a good run-blocking reputation. He's already way more than that. Jake Ferguson - who caught a Dak Prescott TD in team work - is the top dog. But two-tight-end sets? Spann-Ford looks like your guy. 2 - QB Joe Milton - Athletic? No doubt. Accurate as a thrower? That's been the case this week, yes.
