Jordon Hudson's Emotional Letter to Cheerleading Team Surfaces Amid Bill Belichick Romance

Yahoo20-05-2025
A heartfelt letter written by Jordon Hudson to her former cheerleading team has come to light, just as public interest in her relationship with football coach Bill Belichick continues to grow.
Hudson stepped away from the BlackOut cheer squad in December 2024. In a letter obtained by The Washington Post, she explained her decision to leave, citing scheduling conflicts and her commitment to other responsibilities.
Although she admitted it might have looked like she was putting herself first during the season, Hudson stressed that wasn't the case.
'My actions were not guided by selfishness,' she said. 'Selfishly, I always would have preferred to be in the gym, with all of you, doing what I love: cheerleading.'
She went on to share that the choice to leave BlackOut was not sudden. Hudson recalled being invited to join the team in July and discussing early on that she might face conflicts later in the year. As her schedule became more demanding, she said her other 'teams' needed her full attention.
Her letter also addressed the attention her personal life had brought to the team.
'I want to apologize for the baggage that comes with having me around,' Hudson wrote.
She thanked her teammates for their patience through media attention and disruptions at practice. 'I know none of you asked for that.'
Hudson acknowledged that stepping down meant someone else would take her place on the team—someone who could be more consistent.
'This decision was not made lightly,' she said.
The letter ended on a personal note, with Hudson thanking the team for helping her feel grounded during a tough time in her life.
'I have faced a slow, exterior erasure of my strong, individual identity,' she wrote, adding that her teammates helped keep her 'intact.'
The letter has resurfaced just as Hudson's relationship with 73-year-old Belichick has gained more attention. The couple has faced heavy scrutiny since Hudson stopped an interview question on "CBS News Sunday Morning" asking how they met.
They later appeared together at the Miss Maine USA pageant, where Hudson competed but finished in third place.
While some critics have voiced concern over the relationship, Hudson has remained mostly quiet, letting her actions and, in this case, her words, speak for themselves.
She closed her letter with appreciation and understanding. 'Leaving the team means giving up a part of myself,' she wrote, 'but I still recognize that this is the best decision for both my team(s) and for BlackOut.'

'The backlash was swift,' Cudi admitted. 'I had a lot of people that supported me, but there were a few that were — you know — had some opinions about it. It was interesting because I'm not no street dude. I don't live by no code, you know? I guess it's because I'm a rapper, people just threw that on me. But, like, my music has never been about that and I have never tried to pretend I was about that. I'm from the suburbs, baby, you know what I'm sayin'? Straight up.' Adding, 'But I ain't let it faze me, so I know I was doing the right thing. F— 'em, you know. Let those mother—-ers think whatever they want.' And when it finally came to actually being on the stand, Cudi said that the experience was a 'weird' one. 'It was weird, man, because that was the first time I had seen him in a while,' he said. 'We made eye contact a couple times. It was f—king weird, but I'm glad I got through it. Got it behind me. I know I did the right thing, so that's all that matters.' Elsewhere in the interview, the Ohio rapper was asked about his broken friendship with Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) and said that his former collaborator 'said some things that there's no coming back from.' Sean 'Diddy' Combs Wants Madison Square Garden Return, Attorney Says

Sean 'Diddy' Combs has opened up about his post-release agenda as he awaits sentencing on federal charges. According to his lead attorney, Marc Agnifilo, the Mt. Vernon native has specified plans for when he is free from behind bars. Speaking with CBS News' Jericka Duncan, Agnifilo explained the mindset of his client. 'He wants people to know that he has reflected on the blessings that he's been given, on the imperfections that he sees in himself,' shared Agnifilo. Combs was convicted of transporting women across state lines for the purpose of prostitution and acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges. 'I think he wants to get out of jail, reestablish a loving, present relationship with all of his seven children. He wants to take care of his mother. Does he want to get back in the music? Does he want to get back in the business? I think he's someone who's always going to strive to do something, you know, exceptional and probably demanding and challenging, but I think the most demanding and challenging thing in front of him right now is to get back with his kids and get back with his mother, and the people who love him and miss him.' When Duncan asked if the Bad Boy Records founder made plans for an entertainment comeback, Agnifilo replied, 'Honestly, he has not,' before adding that, while plans are not in place, Puff would love to hit the stage at MSG. 'He said to me he's going to be back at Madison Square Garden,' exclaimed Agnifilo of Combs' future goals. 'I guess being on stage.' Elsewhere in the interview, Agnifilo discussed a rumored pardon said to be pending from President Donald Trump. Earlier this week, attorney Nicole Westmoreland, another member of Combs' legal team, claimed that POTUS had been contacted regarding Combs' conviction. 'It's my understanding that we've reached out and had conversations in reference to a pardon,' Westmoreland revealed. Trump himself has reportedly confessed, 'I didn't know him well. But when I ran for office, he was very hostile,' and added that the dynamic would make the pardon 'more difficult to do.' It had been previously reported that Trump had seriously considered making the would-be controversial move. 'I have nothing to do with a possible pardon,' Agnifilo shared with CBS News. 'I have had conversations with nobody,' Agnifilo continued. 'I have not spoken to the president. I have not spoken to anybody who speaks to the president about Sean Combs. I have not.' According to Agnifilo, his discussions with Combs regarding a pardon relate to the news, with the 55-year-old exclaiming, 'Go tell him I deserve a pardon.' The Grammy winner is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 3, 2025. Combs remains in custody after his legal team's failed attempts to have him released on bail. 'As for risk of flight or danger, Combs fails to meet his burden by clear and convincing evidence,' detailed Judge Arun Subramanian in his ruling. 'Increasing the amount of the bond or devising additional conditions doesn't change the calculus given the circumstances and heavy burden of proof that Combs bears.' Combs is faced with a maximum sentence of 20 years, 10 years for each count.
