Free pancake breakfast at Five Rivers MetroParks for Bike to Work Day

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Five Rivers MetroParks is offering people taking part in National Bike to Work Day this Friday a way to carbo-load for their rides.
The park expects hundreds of cyclists to show up to enjoy the annual free Pancake Breakfast, coffee, live music and cycling-related exhibitors.
The event begins at 7 a.m. at RiverScape MetroPark, 237 E. Monument Ave.
The breakfast is presented by the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission's Rideshare Program. It is sponsored by Dayton Cycling Club, City of Dayton Water Division and Wagner Subaru; with additional support from Winans Coffee and Chocolate.

Once you have received 16 stamps from participating businesses, you can return the passport to any of the eight pick-up locations. Passports must be returned before Sept. 12. DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A retail distribution facility in the Miami Valley is shutting down in September. The Kohl's Electronic Fulfillment Center, located in the 3500 block of Salzman Road in Monroe, is ending operations in September, according to the company. 'In recent years, Kohl's has increased efficiencies with new technology capabilities at newer E-commerce Fulfillment Centers (EFCs) and expanded our ability to fulfill customer orders from store locations – allowing us to maintain our ability to fulfill orders without the Monroe facility,' said Kohls. The retail giant confirmed to that all employees at the facility have been notified of the announcement. Miamisburg unveils new $227K dump truck

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Miamisburg residents can be on the lookout for a new dump truck roving through the area on pickup days. The city unveiled a newly acquired 2026 International model dump truck. The truck, which cost $227,000, includes a stainless steel bed, salt spreader and a brine prewetting system, as well as a preexisting plow. The 2026 truck replaces the 2008 edition, which the city says will be converted into a full-time brine vehicle. The new truck was purchased by the Miamisburg Public Works Department.
