The man who helped Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant to sporting immortality has revealed their 'most valuable' real estate.
Speaking on the sidelines of AREC, Australasia's biggest real estate conference, during his first trip Down Under, Tim Grover shared his experiences working with some of the world's greatest athletes and what made them succeed.
'They realised the most valuable real estate was in between their ears,' Mr Grover said.

'Who's renting space up here and shouldn't be renting space? This is your space for you to occupy. Your behaviours, your emotions, your reactions. If you choose those things, you become disciplined.'
Mr Grover was Jordan and Bryant's personal trainer and mindset coach for more than 15 years, during their tenures playing for the Chicago Bulls and LA Lakers.
The CEO of Attack Athletics, who continues to coach and mentor athletes and business leaders, said their resilience and 'ability to always be in the moment' set them apart from other high performers.

'They never thought about the previous moment or the next moment,' he said.
'They knew there was a price that needed to be paid for winning and they were willing to pay that price. I asked Kobe; 'What does winning mean to you?' He said; 'Winning is everything'.'
It's advice many real estate agents in the audience appreciated after hearing Mr Grover's key note speech.
'You can't have winning without losing,' he said.
'They're partners.
'When you lose, you don't get real low, and when you win, you don't get real high. Don't celebrate for too long. Winning's job is to replace you.'

Mr Grover also had some tips for dealing with rejection — in life or in business.
'Here's the thing about rejection. You have to master the art of rejection. When you get rejected you're in no worse spot than you were before.'
He explained that it was important to understand why you fell, so that you could get up quicker next time it happened.
'When you get up, don't rush to get up, because if you rush to get up you'll be the exact same individual that fell down.'
He had some tough words for people looking to succeed in property, or generally.
'In business, a lot of people think about success, but they never actually do anything about it,' he said.

'When you start doing what's best for you, you're going to upset a lot of people.
'Stop spending time with individuals you don't like, doing things you don't want to do.'
Along with Jordan and Bryant, Grover also coached such legendary names in basketball as Scott Pippen, Charles Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon, and Dwayne Wade.
The Australasian Real Estate Conference (AREC) also featured speakers such as former Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, Diary of a CEO podcast founder, Steven Bartlett, and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Mauricio Umansky.

‘Need a pay rise': Aussies shocked by nurse's salary

A young nurse, who works up to 16 hours a day, has shocked social media users after revealing how much she gets paid. She was recently stopped on the streets of Brisbane for an interview by jobs app, Getahead, where she revealed she earns $78,000 a year working as an enrolled nurse. The worker is on the verge of finishing her registered nursing degree and plans to either continue working in her current hospital or become an army medic. During the interview, she revealed that she works between 8 to 16 hour shifts as a cardiovascular respiratory nurse, which she described as 'quite an intense job'. 'I am a carer for my grandfather. He had a heart attack a couple of years ago, [which] kind of got me into the specialty,' she said, adding that she had also cared for her grandmother when she was diagnosed with cancer. 'I just love the aspect of giving back to everyone, looking after people when they can't look after themselves is a massive thing.' When asked if she thought hospitals and the government were doing enough to 'look after' nurses, the young Aussie said she didn't think so. 'We have to fight so much for our pay increases and for our rights,' she said. 'I don't think a lot of people see how much we struggle and how emotionally exhausted we are sometimes.' The nurse said she and other people in the industry could 'definitely' do with more help and benefits. Since being shared two days ago the video has gained tens of thousands of views, with commenters sharing their shock at how much nurses really earn. 'Nurses all deserve better pay! Governments always say their nurses are valued and important but never pay them properly,' one person said. Another claimed that rate was 'too low', while another said all nurses 'need a good pay rise'. One person wrote: 'Definitely one of the most accurate interviews I've seen for nursing. Love this conversation! As a nurse I 100% agree, it's a constant battle for pay increases and for better working rights. Nurses don't get enough recognition.' According to data from the Australian Bureau of Statics, the average salary for a registered nurse in Queensland ranges from $79,058 to $106,144. An enrolled nurse salary in Queensland ranges from $71,234 to $82,599. Meanwhile, the average salary for a nurse in NSW ranges from $69,810 to $98,014. Victorian nurses have capped salaries at just below $130,000, making them among the highest paid in the country. In NSW the top classification for a registered nurse caps out at just under 100,000 in Queensland it peaks at $106,144 This is not the first time people have been left horrified after finding out how poorly some of our nurses are being paid. Earlier this year in another Getahead interview a nurse working at a private Brisbane hospital revealed that she earns around $33 an hour. 'I also work in a kitchen at the same hospital,' she added. Her admission sparked multiple stunned responses from social media users, with one person claiming there was 'no way' Australia was 'paying their nurses this low'. 'It's a joke here,' another said, with one adding: 'I make more as a barista, what?' Even though there was shock online around the woman's earnings, she claimed the 'pay' was one of the parts she loved most when it came to the job, along with 'going home to sleep'. Despite her joking response, the young worker said nurse was something she could see herself doing 'forever' and said more nurses are 'definitely needed' in Australia.

One of WA's rising drivers is set to showcase his talents during the V8 Supercars visit to Perth this weekend. Mason Harvey is a two-time WA Saloon Car State Champion but has made the move to the Aussie Racing Cars championship for the 2025 season. The 20-year-old has made a strong start across the opening two rounds of the campaign, with a string of front-row starts, podiums, and lap records. Now, Harvey heads to his home circuit in Wanneroo ready to make a statement, having claimed his first victory in Tasmania last time out. 'Winning in Tassie was massive for us,' Harvey said. 'We've been building for this, and to now come back to Perth with that momentum, in front of my home crowd, it's going to be something special. I'll be giving it everything.' The series will join the Supercars on track for four of their seven rounds, with Perth the third stop on the calendar after rounds in Sydney and the Apple Isle. Harvey sits equal fourth in the standings, just eight points behind leader Kody Garland, in what is set to be a vicious championship fight. It is set to be a big weekend for WA racers as Supercars and Bathurst 1000 champion Brodie Kostecki returns to his home track with Dick Johnson Racing. The Aussie Racing Cars will be on track across the three days of Supercars competition from June 6 to 9.
