Pete Davidson risked 'real damage' to his eye on The Home

Pete Davidson risked "real damage" to his eye filming The Home.
The 31-year-old star was shocked to discover that one particular scene in his new horror movie, which entailed a needle being held above his peeper while it was held open, wouldn't be done using CGI - and grew even more worried when he arrived on set for filming to see a team of three doctors looking "a little concerned".
Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he said: "Obviously, I read the script and was just like, 'That won't be my eye. This is the movies. It'll be a CGI eye.' You can bring people back from the dead and put them in a movie. That's not my eye."
Of seeing the doctors on set, he added: "I'm like, 'What's going on?' And my buddy James [DeMonaco], who directed it, he's like, 'Yeah, well. They're here for your eye.'
"And I was like, 'What do you mean?' He goes, 'Well, you know, today's that scene.' I go, 'I know, but what do you mean?' He's like, 'Well, it's going to be your eye.'
"He goes, 'You have very recognisable eyes.' I go, 'What the hell are you talking about? No I don't. My eyes are normal, sir.' "
Pete tried unsuccessfully to argue that no one would expect it to be his eye in the scene but ultimately found himself with it being held open in a way he compared to A Clockwork Orange.
He continued: "They open my eye or whatever, and it's all... It's all jacked up. And there's these three doctors on the side, and then this actor was messing up his lines. And I was like, 'Come on, dude.' "
And while they filmed, Pete heard a doctor warn the director: "Yeah, about 30 more seconds, there's going to be some real damage."
He continued: "So I take the thing off. I'm like, you know, squirting it with water and stuff, I'm like, 'What the hell just happened?'
"Then we're watching it in video village, and the director goes, 'Yeah, it didn't have to be your eyes.' I was like, 'Dude...' "
Despite his struggles with the scene, the former Saturday Night Live star relished the chance to do "just a straight horror movie".
He added: "I had a really good time, and it was just weird. It's a weird one."

Dave Franco talks 'weird' Zac Efron dating rumour

Dave Franco says the weirdest rumour he ever heard about himself is that he was dating Zac Efron. The 40-year-old actor – who has been married to Alison Brie, 42, since 2017 – revealed an ex-girlfriend called to question him about his relationship with his Neighbors co-star after a photoshopped image of them appeared online. Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Dave said: 'This girl that I was kinda seeing at one point reaching out and being like 'hey, what's this all about?' and it was this photoshop of me and Zac Efron at like a basketball game where we're getting like really cosy together. Then there were all these headlines that maybe we were dating. And I think that had some legs too.' Dave also confirmed that he was responsible for Zac, 37, dislocating his thumb while filming a scene in Neighbors where Zac had to grab Dave's crotch. He said: 'It definitely wasn't because my penis was hard. Yeah. I'm trying to remember if I was wearing a cup and he came in just really strong. I think it was a dislocated thumb to be fair, but it, it happened. There's a scene where I think we're both grabbing each other's crotches at the same time. And I just think he came in with enough force from the wrong angle. 'The character actually, now that I think about it, not to walk through the whole synopsis of Neighbors in this interview, but he grabs my crotch and we're both holding on like who's gonna let go first and then my character actually to get him to let go, I have a trick where I go Zen and I know how to get hard on cue. So, I do get hard in this hand. That's what makes him let go.' Zac previously discussed the incident during a 2014 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, joking that he broke his hand because Dave had 'balls of steel'.

'Come out Mommy!': Lindsay Lohan's son thought she was trapped in the TV

Lindsay Lohan's son thought she had got trapped inside their television. The 39-year-old actress - who has two-year-old Luai with husband Bader Shammas - is "kind of scared" about how to handle life in the spotlight with her toddler now that he is becoming "more aware" of her fame, even though seeing her interviewed on TV left him baffled. Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday (28.07.25), she said: "Actually, this morning, he was with my in-laws and my husband and I were doing Good Morning America, and he was like, 'Mommy, come out! Mommy!' "He thought I was stuck in the TV. "So now I'm like, now that he's getting older and more aware, I'm kind of scared. I don't want get confused." Jimmy stepped in to reassure Luai that the Freakier Friday actress was OK on his show. He waved at the camera and said: "Mommy's fine, Mommy's safe, Mommy says, 'Hi!' We're good, we're happy, everything's great." When it comes to showing her work to her son, Lindsay has one particular movie in mind. She said: "Herbie: Fully Loaded, because it's cars and fun." Lindsay recently admitted little Luai has already started "mocking" her. She told E! News: "I have this thing, where I'm like, 'Luai, don't do that.' "And this morning before I was going to say it, he's like, 'Don't do that, Luai,' and looked at me and I was like, 'Oh my god, he's mocking me.'" Lindsay still has over a decade to go until she has to deal with the teenage rebellion years like Jamie Lee Curtis' character did in the original Freaky Friday film. She added: "I'm not in that position with my son yet. He's still a toddler. [But] he runs! Fast, out of the house. He's like, 'Outside!' Gone." In March 2024, Lindsay reflected on the way her mindset has changed since becoming a mother for the first time. She explained to E! News at the time: "I want to do things that my son can see. But I also want to do things that inspire me. "It's a learning process — I'm having a different go at it, figuring out what I want to do and how I want to do it."
