iQOO Neo 10 is launching in India on May 26 and here is everything we know about it

India Today09-05-2025
The iQOO Neo 10 is expected to launch in India soon. This upcoming device is going to join the Neo 10R in the company's Neo series in India. The launch date of the iQOO Neo 10 has been officially confirmed — the device is coming to India on May 26, and there's a lot to get excited about. Especially considering the Neo 10 hasn't launched in China yet, so we're sure this device is not a direct cut-copy-paste. That said, many reports do say that the phone is based on the iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro from China, although both phones look quite different from one another. So, what makes the upcoming iQOO Neo 10 special and what should you expect from it? Here's everything you need to know.advertisementiQOO Neo 10: Launch details, specs and expected priceThe iQOO Neo 10 will officially launch on May 26 in India. The brand has confirmed that the phone is going to come in two colourways — Inferno Red (dual-tone finish) and Titanium Chrome (metallic finish). The phone will be available for purchase via Amazon India, iQOO India's official website, and hopefully from select offline retail partners as well.As for the confirmed specs, there are quite a few of them. Remember, we mentioned that the iQOO Neo 10 is based on the Z10 Turbo Pro? Well, both phones share the same chipset. iQOO has themselves confirmed that the Neo 10 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, and it will be the first phone in India to feature this SoC. But that's not all, as the phone will also get the Q1 chip — iQOO's dedicated graphics chip — paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. We expect to see at least 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. However, there's a high chance we may also get to see a 16GB RAM variant, considering the Z10 Turbo Pro has one in China.advertisement
As is tradition with the iQOO Neo series, the Neo 10 is already being marketed as one of the best gaming phones in its segment. The device is rumoured to feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. However, what's confirmed is that it will be the segment's only phone with support for 144fps gaming. This heavily implies that the phone is going to have a 144Hz refresh rate. Also confirmed is the presence of a 7K VC cooling system, bypass charging, a huge 7,000mAh battery and 120W fast wired charging support. All in all, expect this phone to deliver top-tier gaming performance — all while staying cool and running for a long time.In terms of camera, the iQOO Neo 10 is expected to feature a 50-megapixel dual-rear camera system, along with a 32-megapixel front snapper (the Neo 10R has one) for selfies. As for the pricing, the iQOO Neo 10 could very well be priced between Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000 in India. For context, the iQOO Neo 10R, which was released in India last month, is priced at Rs 26,999, Rs 28,999 and Rs 30,999 for the 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage variants respectively.

Ludh duo build auto unit to turn waste into compost

Ludhiana: In an interesting achievement for the city youth innovation ecosystem, two Class XII students Abhishek Dhanda and Prabhkirat Singh have developed an innovative automated vermocompost unit for sustainable waste management. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Their innovation, Prithvi Rakshak, is a one-of-a-kind, student-led, fully automated vermicomposting unit that uses advanced technology to convert organic waste into high-quality compost, almost three times faster than conventional methods. The idea first germinated at an innovation event held at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), where the duo initially experimented with kitchen waste and local bio-waste. Inspired by the potential of vermicomposting but frustrated by its slow pace, they began reengineering the process. "We realised the key to speeding up the composting cycle was in creating optimal conditions for the earthworms, mainly temperature and humidity. That's where sensors, robotics, and AI came in," Abhishek said. Using AI-driven temperature and humidity sensors, along with a proprietary bioenzyme formula, the students at BCM Arya Model School, Shastri Nagar succeeded in reducing the traditional composting cycle from 60 to 90 days to just 38 days. Their robotic assistant, VermiDoot, collects and processes organic waste, while their companion mobile app, VermiVeda, helps monitor the system and manage operations remotely. The unit is also IoT-enabled, allowing real-time data tracking. They said that their startup has already processed over 12,000 kg of organic waste monthly, generating Rs 1 lakh in revenue and a single unit could scale to Rs 2.5-Rs 3 lakh per month. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now They said the unit also produces vermiwash as byproduct and vermisticks. "Since we are able to observe the parameters 24x7, and also control them to create the most conductive environment, not only is vermicompost create much faster but also of high quality which has optimal moisture, pH and other parameters, for improving soil fertility," said Prabhkirat. Their efforts have earned widespread recognition both nationally and internationally. The students represented India at the IEEE Junior Scientist International Competition in Tunisia, where their work was showcased at Science City. They were also finalists in the Net Zero Carbon Emission Challenge, EcoHackathon Delhi, and Eureka Junior, and ranked among the top 10 in the MESA Business School Pitch Competition. On the home front, they have been lauded in events such as TechNiche at IIT Guwahati winning Rs 45,000 prize, and cash prizes at WRO Nationals and Eco-Innovators Ideathon as well, they said. Their innovation was also among the top 35 out of 1.9 lakh entries in the Eco-Hackathon Showcase, an event co-organised by Amazon and the ministry of environment, forest and climate change (MoEFCC), they said. ICT Mumbai biocluster receives catalytic funding to boost translational biopharma research

Mumbai: In a significant boost to India's translational research ecosystem, ICT Mumbai's Biocluster secured Rs 30 crore in catalytic funding from the Indian Translational Research Institute (ITRI). The translational biopharmaceutical facility aims to bridge the gap between lab-stage research and clinical application. The eight-storey cluster will focus on rare diseases, synthetic biology, and AI-driven drug development. It will house a GMP-ready biologics pilot plant, shared R&D infrastructure, and advanced training zones for workforce development. Dr Ratnesh Jain, Principal Investigator of the project, said the Biocluster aims to make Indian biopharma globally competitive. ITRI CEO Dr Abdur Rub emphasised the need to de-risk innovation and scale healthcare solutions. Positioned as a national translational platform, the Mumbai Biocluster seeks to empower startups, academia, and industry alike—enabling faster, capital-efficient transitions from research to real-world impact. Punjab's jails to get AI surveillance, 5G jammers in Rs 252 crore overhaul

CHANDIGARH: In a major push to modernise its prison infrastructure and security measures, the Punjab government is rolling out advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based surveillance systems, full-body scanners, and 5G jammers across all 14 jails in the state. The initiative aims to curb drug smuggling, mobile phone use, and in-prison violence, while also addressing overcrowding. The state has sanctioned Rs 252 crore for comprehensive jail upgrades. Of this, Rs 126 crore is for installing security equipment and Rs 126 crore for constructing new barracks to accommodate over 5,000 additional inmates. According to senior government officials, AI-enabled CCTV systems will be installed in 11 jails this year as part of a state-wide rollout. 'This will help in detection and generating alerts on identification of throws from over the walls, crowd detection, entry into prohibited zones, entry or exit of foreign objects,' an official said. The Prison Inmate Calling System has also been expanded, with 800 calling machines installed to ensure inmates can legally communicate with their families without resorting to unauthorised means.
