
Qatar Tourism launches ‘The Art of Front Office Hospitality' training programme
Qatar Tourism's Service Excellence Academy has launched 'The Art of Front Office Hospitality', with the aim of providing training to 400 frontline hotel staff from properties rated four stars and below.
In a press release issued on Monday, Qatar Tourism said that the two-day training course was designed to address the specific needs of this segment and that it focuses on guest relations, cultural sensitivity, and operational efficiency.
It added that the first batch of 84 participants has successfully completed the program and received certification.
This initiative forms part of Qatar Tourism's broader Service Excellence strategy and contributes to the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030 by fostering professional development and raising service standards across the

Ministry of Awqaf concludes summer training programme 2025, honours 73
QNA Doha The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf), represented by the Human Resources Department, concluded its 2025 summer training program with a closing ceremony that honoured 73 high school and university students, along with supervisors from the Training and Administrative Development Section and supervisors from the departments that hosted the trainees. The ceremony featured presentations by participating students, showcasing the most prominent administrative and technical skills they acquired during their training period, as well as what they learned about the ministry's vision, mission, and services it provides to the community. The students praised the program's comprehensive content, which helped enhance their professional skills, train them for the workplace, and leverage AI techniques in preparing reports and presentations. They also learned about the ministry's mission of advocacy and community service. For his part, Director of the Human Resources Department Mohammed Hassan Al Maliki commended the students' commitment and eagerness to utilize their summer vacation to acquire practical skills. He noted that the program is part of the ministry's efforts to support the human development pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030 by preparing a generation qualified to enter the labour market. Al Maliki urged participants to continue developing their skills and reinforce the practical values they had learned, such as punctuality, teamwork, effective communication, preparing correspondence and reports, and managing meetings. For her part, Head of Awqaf's Training and Administrative Development Section, Salwa Abdullah Al Badr Al Mutawa'ah confirmed that 33 male students and 40 female students participated in the program, and were distributed according to their preferences among four main departments within the ministry: the Information Systems Department, the Religious Call and Guidance Department, the Zakat Affairs Department, and the General Department of Endowments. Al Mutawa'ah explained that the 2025 summer training program focused on developing participants' skills in communication and dealing with the public, mastering archiving, analysing statistics, and using AI applications, with periodic weekly assessments to measure progress and motivate outstanding performance.
