Gulf Coast school closures due to severe weather
Big Bounce America, a limited event featuring 'The World's Biggest Bounce House' at the Pensacola Interstate Fairgrounds, has rescheduled all sessions from Saturday, March 15 to Sunday, March 16.
'Our Customer Service team will be reaching out via email to all impacted ticket holders with further details,' a said.
In addition, 'We have also worked with our location partners to add an extra event day next Saturday, March 22,' the post said. 'If you're unable to attend your new session on Sunday, you have the option to move your booking to Saturday, March 22.
'If you're unable to attend either date, you can request a refund.'
Escambia County EMS's Open House — which would have been held Saturday, March 15, has been rescheduled to April 12, according to a county news release.
'Out of an abundance of caution due to Saturday's moderate severe weather risk, Escambia County EMS has rescheduled its Open House event to Saturday, April 12 from 12-4 p.m.,' the release said.
The event will take place at the Escambia County Public Safety building.
Attendees can tour the EMS facility, look at new ambulances, learn CPR, participate in kids' activities, and enjoy the EMS employee chili cook-off.
The event is free to attend.
Pensacon Day has been rescheduled from March 15 to March 22, according to an event news release.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at Splash City Adventures, 6709 Pensacola Blvd.

Admission is free, and attendees can enjoy all amusement park rides with complimentary tickets distributed at Pensacon 2025.
'Cosplay is encouraged, and the day will feature Pensacon giveaways including passes to Pensacon 2026, Pensacon swag and other exciting items,' the release said.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Marine Patrol Division has canceled a Boating Basics and License Course scheduled for Saturday, March 15, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Mobile Police Department.
The Gulf Islands National Seashore has closed the Fort Pickens Area for incoming day users and campers. All visitors and campers were required to evacuate by 3 p.m. on March 14.
'Park staff will assess conditions on Sunday, March 16,' a news release said.

Strawberry Festival prepares for thousands of visitors with rain in the forecast
It will be a busy weekend for the Troy Strawberry Festival with organizers expecting at least 150,000 visitors. They say they are prepared, and have a plan in case of inclement weather. Ovenshire grew up in Troy and remembers the past Strawberry Festivals. 'As a little kid, we were on the levee, you know, and there was hardly anything up here, and it just kept getting bigger and bigger,' Ovenshire said. The city started prepping for the festival Thursday morning by putting up barriers. 'You don't want to have that always on the back of your mind,' Ovenshire said. 'Like, man, what if this isn't as safe as it used to be?' Jessica Silver is the head chair of the Strawberry Festival. Silver says they have shaded areas for festival goers. 'Festival location that our volunteers can come in and like, take rests and have some water,' Silver said. 'We also have EMS present on both locations and we have Kettering Health here.' Ovenshire recommends checking the weather before heading out to the festival. 'You know the forecast, it's not that bad,' Ovenshire said. 'And people still come out no matter what.' McManus acknowledged the anxiety members of San Antonio's LGBTQ+ community are feeling in the aftermath of Joss' death and police's immediate dismissal of the possibility that the murder was a hate crime, saying that they "shouldn't have done it." McManus clarified that in the state of Texas, hate crimes are not filed as separate charges but can be used to increase sentencing, such as charges elevated from a second-degree to a first-degree felony. Snow Patrol frontman to perform home city gig with a difference
Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody will perform one of his first major gigs as an author, in his home town this summer. The event discussing his new book, The Forest Is The Path, is expected to be one of the star attractions of this summer's Open House Festival in Bangor, Co Down. The annual festival includes almost 100 events throughout August, and is expected to attract about 50,000 people to the city, with Bangor Castle Walled Garden and the Court House on the seafront as the focal venues. Lightbody will be talking to Irish author and broadcaster Sinead Gleeson about his book The Forest Is The Path, which was published in March, in what has been billed as a 'very different and incredibly personal hometown appearance', on August 26-27. Among the other stars to appear at the Walled Garden are singers Lisa O'Neill and Mary Coughlan, folk duo Ye Vagabonds, and comedians Paddy Raff, Chris Kent and Neil Delamere. Events at the Court House include The Ocelots, twin brothers from Wexford now based in Germany, and a special festival performance by Northern Ireland Opera. Among the other author events scheduled, former Labour cabinet member Alan Johnson will talk about his new book, Harold Wilson, Chris Whitaker will be discussing his international best-selling novel All The Colours Of The Dark, and American writer Karen Hao will be talking about her new book Empire Of AI. Open House director Kieran Gilmore said the festival puts a spotlight on Bangor's creative talent. 'This year's festival has some of our finest local artists performing in iconic venues throughout the city,' he said.
