Appeal for movements of car night before mother and two children were killed
Vanessa Whyte, 45, a vet originally from Co Clare, her son James, 14, and daughter Sara, 13, died following a shooting incident at a house in Maguiresbridge on Wednesday morning.

Detectives from the major investigation team, who are carrying out the murder investigation, said they are continuing with their inquiries and are appealing for information involving the movements of a vehicle.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil McGuinness said: 'Our investigation is ongoing and we are working tirelessly to determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy.
'I would continue to appeal generally for anyone with information to come forward and more specifically I would ask anyone who saw a silver Mercedes saloon car being driven in the Clones Road area of Newtownbutler, or between Maguiresbridge and Newtownbutler, on the evening of Tuesday July 22 to call detectives on 101, quoting reference 276 23/07/25.
'Anyone who was travelling in the area and who may have captured dashcam footage which could assist, please get in touch.'

A fourth person, a man who was a member of the same household, remains in a serious condition in hospital in Belfast following the incident on Wednesday.
A murder investigation has been launched and police said a triple murder and attempted suicide is one line of inquiry being pursued.
On Friday, hundreds of people attended a community vigil for the family.
The vigil was organised by a community group and held at Maguiresbridge Primary School, where James and Sara previously attended.

A book of condolence, set up next to a framed photo of the family and surrounded by white flowers and candles, was also opened at the school.

The deaths have caused widespread shock across the small Co Fermanagh community.
Flowers, teddy bears and an Arsenal football top with written notes have been laid close to scene of the incident in Drummeer Road.

A SMALL boat migrant has been found dead after being shot seven times by suspected people smugglers - with a murder enquiry launched. The deceased man - in his late teens or early 20s – is the latest victim of a surge of shootings around a camp at Loon-Plage, on the outskirts of Dunkirk. 3 3 3 Investigating sources revealed on Monday: "He was hit by seven bullets. "The camp was full of people hoping to get to Britain, when he was confronted by gunmen. "Around twenty bullets were fired in all, and seven entered the man's body." The source added how emergency service workers were at the scene but tragically couldn't save him. The Dunkirk prosecutor visited the crime scene, which on Monday was blocked off, and surrounded by armed police. The hunt was meanwhile launched for the "suspected people smugglers" responsible for murder, said the source. It was the latest in a long list of heinous shootings around Loon-Plage beach, from where small inflatable boats with migrants onboard regularly set off for Britain. In June, a Sudanese man was shot dead and a mother-and-child wounded by suspected people smugglers the same camp. The horrific bloodbath unfolded when a gang opened fire on specific targets, while hitting passers-by. Two males – a man and a 17-year-old minor connected to a people smuggling gang – were then arrested, and face charges of "murder by an organised gang' and "attempted murder by an organised gang." There were also charges related to possession of a range of weapons, believed to include pistols and rifles. Domis will be remanded in custody until a quintuple murder trial is held later this year, or in 2026. The Loon-Plage camp is an illegal one, but growing everyday as migrants from all over the world arrive. In the first half of this year, some 20,000 migrants crossed the English Channel to the UK, up almost 50 per cent on the corresponding period last year. Numbers of what the British government calls "irregular migrants" keep rising, with 638 arriving on the coast of England in the seven days to last Friday. Bruno Retailleau, France's Interior Minister, regularly pledges tougher action against the highly organised smuggling guns operating in northern France. He said: "Our government will intensify the fight against these mafias who are getting rich by organising these crossings of death."

Six killed in Bangkok market after gunman opens fire
BANGKOK, July 28 (Reuters) - At least six people were killed when a gunman opened fire at a market in Thailand's capital Bangkok on Monday, Thai police said in a statement. The fatalities include the gunman who took his own life, Charin Gopatta, Deputy Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, told Reuters. "Police are investigating the identity of the person and the motive for the incident," Thai police said in a statement. The five people killed by the gunman were security guards at the market, it said. No tourists were killed or injured in the shooting incident, said Sanong Saengmani, a police official in Bangkok's Bang Sue district, where the market that mainly sells agricultural produce is located. Tourism is a key economic driver in Thailand, Southeast Asia's second largest economy, where growth has been sluggish and such incidents can potentially dampen sentiment. In video footage shared by police, a suspect in a white hat and a backpack slung on his chest is seen walking through a parking lot at the market. Gun violence and gun ownership are not uncommon in Thailand. In October 2023, a 14-year-old suspect used a modified handgun to kill two people and injure five others at a luxury mall in central Bangkok. A year earlier, a former police officer killed 36 people, including 22 children, in a gun-and-knife attack at a nursery in eastern Thailand.

At least six killed in shooting incident in Bangkok
BANGKOK, July 28 (Reuters) - At least six people were killed at a market in a shooting incident in the Thai capital Bangkok on Monday, a police official said. The number of fatalities includes the gunman who took his own life, Charin Gopatta, Deputy Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, told Reuters. Four security guards at the Or To Ko market, which sells agricultural produce and local food, were killed by the gunman, as well as a woman, according to the Erawan Emergency Medical Centre that monitors Bangkok hospitals.
