Met Eireann have sounded the thunderstorm alarm for Dublin with heavy rain on the way for the capital.
Today is set to be a dry day - but enjoy it while it lasts, as thundery downpours are set to arrive in Dublin by Wednesday evening. Stormy conditions will persist through Thursday according to the latest forecast, and while it may not be as spectacular on Friday, it will remain wet.
Even more frustratingly, the rainfall is set to be accompanied by temperature peaks of 22C, with overnight temperatures also staying up in the double digits, making for a damp, grey, sticky, and uncomfortable week for all. This morning, it is cloudy but dry in Dublin, and some sunny spells should develop as the day goes on.
Temperatures should get up to around the 19C mark. Tonight will remain dry, with lows of 10C expected.
And here is what the full Met Eireann forecast says for the next few days:
Overview: Showery conditions, some heavy with embedded thunderstorms, mild and humid too.
Wednesday: Some bright or sunny spells on Wednesday at first. Becoming cloudy with scattered showers developing, turning heavy and thundery later on in the evening. Humid with highest temperatures of 18 to 20 degrees in a moderate southerly breeze.
Wednesday night: Showery outbreaks of rain of rain will persist overnight with heavy and thundery falls in places. Heavy with temperatures not falling below 13 to 15 degrees. Breezy with moderate to fresh southeasterly winds.
Thursday: Showery outbreaks of rain will persist with further thundery heavy falls, especially across northern and eastern areas. Some sunny spells in places too. Warm and humid with highest temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees, in a moderate to fresh southeasterly wind.
Friday: Further outbreaks of heavy showers with fresh southerly winds. Warm with highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees.
Further outlook: Low pressure looks to dominate the weather with frequent showers, especially on Saturday.

Watch moment lightning strike 'blows all power' in popular Irish seaside town "There is a risk of some local flash flooding, hail and lightning with power outages possible." Cathal Nolan, who runs Ireland's Weather Channel, warned that "every area is at risk" of the ferocious weather but pinpointed the east to be worst-hit by the thunderstorms. He said "large hail" and "frequent lightening" can be expected. "This plume of very warm air will allow for the rapid development of thunderstorms with favourable CAPE and strong shear, all combining to lead to the development of strong and locally significant thunderstorms with the potential for some disruption in or two locations. "The associated risks as we head through the second half of the week include frequent lightning, large hail and gusty winds, localised power disruption, localised flooding concerns."
