UK's export of fighter jet parts to Israel lawful: High Court
Al-Haq had argued that the Department for Business and Trade's decision to license these components was unlawful and risked facilitating crime amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
The UK government had previously suspended other export licenses for weapons to Israel but maintained an exemption for F-35 parts, designating them as part of an international defence program.
The Department for Business and Trade defended its position, asserting that the carve-out for F-35 components was consistent with international law.
Justices ruled that the issue of withdrawing from a multilateral defense collaboration, even if components might be used in international humanitarian law violations, is a political matter for the executive and parliament, not for the courts.

Footage shared by Chippenham Police on Monday (18 August) shows a group of men raiding the store in Borough Parade, Wiltshire, as shocked customers ran away in the opposite direction. The force had already been informed via intelligence that the store was being targeted by an organised criminal group, with officers waiting on standby to intervene. The group were shoved out of the store by a shop assistant, with undercover officers wielding battens standing outside as the group tried to make an escape. Michael McRobie, 34, subjected two teenagers to repeated assaults and sex crimes and even struck one underage girl with a whip. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 High Court in Edinburgh A judge at the High Court in Edinburgh told the beast, from Kirkcaldy, Fife, that his offences were 'appalling.' McRobie had denied a series of charges at an earlier trial but was convicted of 12 offences - including six of rape. All the crimes were committed in Fife. Judge Michael O'Grady KC said: "They amply demonstrate that you have a sinister, compulsive and deeply dangerous interest in children and adolescent girls. "It is clear that when you behaved as you did, you were neither stupid nor unthinking nor caught up in the moment. "It is clear that you are and were intelligent and articulate. "It is clear that you knew precisely what you were doing. "Indeed what you were doing was the product of cunning and manipulation and forethought. "One of these girls was a child and the other little more. Hilarious moment Zelensky gets revenge on reporter who criticised him for not wearing suit to first Oval Office meeting "Both in their own way were vulnerable, something you knew only too well and exploited to the full. "You are nothing more or less than a predator. "The damage you have done to these young women is incalculable and I have no doubt its shadow will hang over them for the foreseeable future, perhaps forever." Mr O'Grady ordered that he should be under supervision in the community for a four year period after his 10 year prison term when he can be returned to jail if he breaches licence conditions. He began assaulting and abusing his first victim in March 2016 when she was aged 16. During attacks on her over several months he subjected her to rape, restrained her and throttled her. McRobie subjected a second girl to more prolonged abuse which also started in March 2016 when she was aged 13. She was raped repeatedly and during abuse was hit on the body with his hands and a whip. He also sent the underage girl indecent pictures and got her to send him intimate images. McRobie also possessed indecent images of children and extreme pornographiy of bestiality with females taking part in sexual activity with animals. Defence solicitor advocate Gordon Martin said McRobie had "a very difficult background", was bullied at school and made the first attempt on his life at the age of 12. He told the court: "He is well aware he is going to be indefinitely on the sex offenders' register." The judge made non harassment orders prohibiting McRobie from contacting or attempting to contact victims.
