Hailey Bieber's beloved beauty brand Rhode SLAMMED over $18 lip products that smell like 'road kill'
Hailey Bieber 's infamous beauty brand Rhode has come under fierce fire from customers claiming the lip products smell like 'road kill.'
The 28-year-old's brand offers a range of skincare and makeup goods, as well as the viral Lip Case that perfectly holds a Rhode lip product.
But recently, the model's Peptide Lip Tint and Peptide Lip Treatment, which are $18 each, have been called out for their 'awful' smell after only being open for a short period of time.
One customer posted a TikTok video smelling her Rhode lip tint before gagging on camera, pinching her nose shut and giving the product a thumbs down.
'Does anybody else's Rhode Lip Tint smell like something died?' they questioned in the text overlay.
Her caption read: 'It just randomly started smelling like road kill one day.'
And it seems that others largely agreed with the content creator's assessment - many rushing to share their own experiences in the comments.
'Yes! I have the unscented one and I swear to god one day I opened it up and it just REEKS,' a comment read.
'Is it just me or does [the "toast" tint product] smell and taste like actual toast and it's kinda gross?' someone said.
'I thought I was the stinky one until I realized it was my lip tint,' a person shared.
'Mine STINKS. I've only had it for a few months,' another wrote.
Another comment simply read: 'It smells like spoiled milk.'
'Giiiirl I've just got a refund from Rhode for the two lip tints because they smell so awful after a month of using I just can't! Now I am like what did I put on my lips???' someone else shared.
'This happened to my not too long ago. I was so confused, but I think there was mold in the cap,' another shopper speculated.
In another video, a woman asked why her Rhode Tinted Peptide Lip Treatment made 'her lips smell like doo doo.'
'What is that? And I was questioning myself like "What the f*** is stinking?"' she continued.
She said the shade Ribbon was her 'favorite' and it was her third tube but after smelling the product, she grimaced and asked: 'What is going on?'
'Why does my Rhode Lip Treatment smell like doo doo?' she questioned in the text overlay.
Someone in the comments said: 'Mine smelled like dirty laundry after three weeks and now it smells like a rotting corpse.'
'I just experienced this, and I hate it. Whenever I use it I regret it.
'I'm not hating on Rhode, I love their products, but the lip peptide has a lot of issues and definitely needs improvement,' another person advised.
'When you got the Rhode Lip Peptide and now it smells like mold,' someone else wrote in their own video.
The videos were neverending with another showing a woman smelling her lip peptide product while gagging and shaking her head. In a longer video , a mom cut open her daughter's Peptide Lip Tint to see if there was something inside the tube that was causing the repulsive smell.
In a longer clip, a mom cut open her daughter's Peptide Lip Tint to see if there was something inside the tube that was causing the repulsive smell.
Her daughter told her it 'smells bad' when she puts it on.
'I've already emailed the company, this is crazy, because number one, this stuff is not cheap... so I was like let's see what's inside this that's making it smell like a**holes,' she said.
The mom had cut off the end of the tube and started to squeeze the product onto a paper towel.
She said she wasn't 'seeing anything funky,' but it 'smelled like doo doo.'
'How is it bad already? This product cannot go bad in just two months,' she wondered.
She added: 'I'm not seeing anything, but you can smell it. It smells rancid.'
'It's absolutely disgusting to spend the kind of money these things cost and then for it to smell like doo doo feces on your lips. Who wants that?' she said.

Aryna Sabalenka: TikTok dance was key to thawing relationship with Iga Swiatek
World number one Sabalenka and four-time champion Iga Swiatek will meet in a blockbuster French Open semi-final on Thursday. It will be the first time the duo, who have been jousting at the top of the rankings for the past three years, have played each other at a grand slam since the 2022 US Open. They barely used to speak until an impromptu bonding session at last year's WTA Finals in Riyadh. 'Before it wasn't any communication, any practices with her, but now we are getting better,' said 27-year-old Sabalenka. 'We get along better and we practice more often and we know each other quite well. 'I think everything started when I just came to her and asked to do a TikTok in Riyadh. We just did, like, a little dance together. 'Since that, we were like 'OK, maybe we can communicate, we can be good to each other, we can practice sometimes'. 'So I think that was the first step to a better relationship.' The blossoming friendship will be put on hold when Belarusian Sabalenka continues her bid for a first Roland Garros title against the player who has won her last 26 matches at the French Open. Sabalenka has reached the semi-finals in nine of the last 10 grand slams she has competed at after battling past Olympic champion Qinwen Zheng 7-6 (3) 6-3. It was a shame that the match between two top WTA stars began at 11am, meaning there were hundreds of empty seats around the vast Court Philippe-Chatrier. Semis: this way 👉👉#RolandGarros — Roland-Garros (@rolandgarros) June 3, 2025 The scheduling of women's matches has been a hot topic again this fortnight, and Sabalenka said: 'I agree it was a big match and probably would make more sense to put us a little bit later just so more people could watch it.' Swiatek's patchy form since winning the title last year has seen her slip to number five in the rankings, but the 24-year-old from Poland remains the player to beat in Paris after a 6-1 7-5 quarter-final victory over Ukrainian 13th seed Elina Svitolina. The second semi-final will be decided on Wednesday with Coco Gauff taking on fellow American Madison Keys and Russian sixth seed Mirra Andreeva facing the French Open surprise package, world number 361 Lois Boisson.
