Rick Hoffman is bringing some Louis Litt energy to Suits LA.
The actor, who starred in all nine seasons of the original USA Network drama, will reprise his role in an upcoming episode of the NBC offshoot, TVLine has confirmed.

Hoffman is expected to appear in just one episode, but the door is open for him to return if the series is renewed for Season 2, according to our sister site Deadline, which first reported the news. He will be the second cast member from the OG Suits to grace the spinoff: As previously announced, Gabriel Macht has booked a three-episode arc as charming prosecutor-turned-corporate lawyer Harvey Specter. Hoffman and Macht's episodes will not overlap, per Deadline.
Suits and Suits LA creator Aaron Korsh recently told TVLine that Macht is just the beginning when it comes familiar faces on the new show.
'Harvey is not the only Suits original character that we're going to see this season. There will be at least one other original Suits character. I'm not going to say at what level,' Korsh revealed.
Korsh added that his goal is to have any cast members from the USA Network drama — which also starred Patrick J. Adams, Meghan Markle, Gina Torres and Sarah Rafferty, among others — 'pop up, as organically as possible, and not flood the show with a parade of old Suits characters.'
'I know that's what fans want, but I feel like if it's just a parade of old Suits characters, it would sort of harm the new franchise,' Korsh continued, 'and I don't think it would do a lot of favors to the old franchise either.'
As for Harvey's upcoming appearance, he will be seen in the flashback timeline before he, eventually, pops up in the present and, hopefully, reconnects with Stephen Amell's character, entertainment lawyer Ted Black.
'Ted was a prosecutor in New York at the time that Harvey was working in New York, so they, clearly, would've known each other,' Korsh shared. 'Now, they didn't work in the same office. Ted was a U.S. Attorney, but Harvey was in the District Attorney's office. So what I came up with was they both played in this prosecutors' league baseball team.'
Suits LA airs Sundays at 9/8c on NBC.

‘Days of Our Lives' cast shot funeral for Drake Hogestyn's character while actor was dying of cancer

When life imitates art. While Drake Hogestyn was dying of pancreatic cancer last year, the 'Days of Our Lives' cast and crew filmed his character John Black's funeral as they prepared to also say goodbye to the actor himself. Hogestyn's family, according to Variety, agreed to executive producer Ken Corday's plan for the actor's on-screen send-off. Advertisement 8 Drake Hogestyn in 'Days of Our Lives.' Peacock 'Drake, as the consummate storyteller that he is, said, 'Absolutely. You gotta tell the story,'' Eric Martsoff, who played Hogestyn's son Brady, told the outlet in an interview published Monday. 'Drake knew what he was facing,' Martsoff, 53, continued. 'He understood that this is a story fans would want to be told. So Drake graciously said, 'Yes, let's do it.' But knowing that this man was on the planet, and we were literally taping his funeral and his death, that was hard. It was really hard.' Black's funeral scenes airing this week were shot over three days in September. The following weekend, Hogestyn passed away at age 70. Black's body was completely covered in gauze to sidestep the fact that the character was no longer being played by Hogestyn. 8 John Black's death scene in 'Days of Our Lives.' Peacock Advertisement Martha Madison, who played Black's daughter, Bella, told Variety the 'Days' team felt a 'responsibility' to honor the character the right way. 'The fact that we were losing Drake at the same time, it was very hard on us emotionally, as we're losing someone we really love,' the 47-year-old actress explained. 'We didn't really have to perform. It wasn't like we were having to dig for anything. It was just all right there.' Madison also noted that shooting Black's funeral scenes was the cast's way of saying goodbye to Hogestyn. 8 The cast of 'Days of Our Lives.' 8 Mary Beth Evans and Drake Hogestyn at the 50th Daytime Emmy Awards in 2023. Hogestyn joined 'Days of Our Lives' in 1986. He appeared on the hit soap opera for 38 years and filmed over 4,200 episodes.

Glee Reunion: Chris Colfer and Darren Criss Bring #Klaine to the Tonys, 10 Years After Series Finale

The 2025 Tony Awards was a big night for a lot of people — but mostly for the cast of Glee. Where do we even begin? Perhaps with Jonathan Groff (aka Jesse St. James) getting everyone on their feet with a performance from the Bobby Darin musical Just in Time? Or maybe Lea Michele (Rachel Berry) presenting an award while celebrating her own impending return to Broadway in the revival of Chess? Or how about Darren Criss (Blaine Anderson) taking home his first-ever Tony Award for his role in this year's Best Musical winner Maybe Happy Ending? View this post on Instagram A post shared by Chris Colfer (@chriscolfer) Several of Colfer and Criss' former co-stars chimed in to celebrate the reunion, as well as Criss' win. Heather Morris (Brittany S. Pierce) and Amber Riley (Mercedes Jones) were among those who dropped supportive emojis under the photo. Coincidentally, the 2015 series finale of Glee also took place at the Tonys, with Rachel's now-husband Jesse cheering her on from the audience as she took home her first statue. And did we mention that Rachel also became a surrogate for Kurt and Blaine? That finale really did give us everything. Which Cast Members Are Not Returning for ‘And Just Like That' Season 3? Who's Not Coming Back

And Just Like That... returns for season 3 minus several key cast members who have been with the show since the first episode. Life & Style reveals which costars aren't coming back and the reasons behind their departures. Sara Ramirez is not coming back to the show as nonbinary comedian and podcaster Che Diaz, even though they have been with the show since season 1. Similarly, another two-season regular, Karen Pittman, won't be back to reprise her role of law professor Nya Wallace. The Grey's Anatomy alum and showrunner Michael Patrick King "felt that that character had run its course," AJLT star and Sex and the City alum Cynthia Nixon told Variety in May 2024. Cynthia's Miranda Hobbes fell for Che in season 1, causing her to split from husband Steve Brady, played by David Eigenberg. Che and Miranda's romance blossomed throughout the season as Miranda explored her sexuality. Season 2 saw Che suffer a major career downturn after their comedy pilot didn't get picked up. They went back to working in a veterinarian's office and the podcast they cohosted with Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie Bradshaw was cancelled after the studio was shut down. Che's romance with Miranda also came to an end, after the intensity of being involved so deeply in each other's lives took a toll. That left Sara without much to do on the show, as their character's ties to both Carrie and Miranda were no longer there going into the third season. 'One of the things that it meant was that Miranda was single again, and that the tensions between Miranda and Che, and also Miranda and Steve, had been quelled and quieted," Cynthia told E! News on May 28, 2025, about her character finally being free of any partner heading into season 3 of AJLT. "Just speaking for Miranda, it meant that she was setting out on this new dating world, having decided she wanted to date women and nonbinary people, but not really quite knowing how to go about that," the New York native added. Karen's busy schedule didn't have room for her to return as Miranda's former law professor and close pal, as she was shooting Apple TV+'s The Morning Show season 4 and the Netflix's series Forever during AJLT's season 3 production. 'It has been a joy to have Karen Pittman play the smart and stunning Professor Nya Wallace on the first two seasons of And Just Like That. As we have thoroughly enjoyed working with this dynamic actress, so too have others," a spokesperson for HBO told multiple outlets on March 22, 2024. They noted that 'it has become apparent that filming three shows at once isn't possible.' 'Due to the production realities, we are disappointed to announce that scheduling conflicts will not allow us to continue with this character as part of season 3 of And Just Like That. Karen and Nya will be missed, and her Max family and fans will all be cheering her on in her other endeavors," the streaming service added. The character of Nya had been left at somewhat of a dead end after season 2. Miranda had long left her brief return to college in the professor's classes to take a job as a human rights lawyer, so the pair only had social interactions. Nya's marriage broke down after she and her husband were unable to come to a decision about children, and season 2 saw the character exploring dating life while somewhat adrift from the rest of the AJLT cast. Kim Cattrall's cameo in the AJLT season 2 finale was a one and done. She thrilled Sex and the City fans by reprising Samantha Jones one last time in the episode that aired on August 24, 2023. Samantha called Sarah Jessica's Carrie Bradshaw to let her know her flight from London was running late and she was going to miss the former sex columnist's goodbye dinner at her longtime New York City apartment. The characters had a brief but pleasant chat after having several text exchanges during season 1 of the SATC revival. Kim shot her scene separately and was never face to face with SJP or other cast members. The Glamorous star had gone on the record numerous times that she was done playing Samantha for good when SJP tried to get a third SATC movie off the ground in 2017. The How I Met Your Father star said she wasn't asked back by AJLT executive producer and star Sarah to take part in the reboot, which the Hocus Pocus star confirmed.
