Supreme Court of India
— a place she thought would be the safest of all.
'I was molested, sex*ally assaulted in the Supreme Court while a hearing was on by a senior lawyer,' she shared. 'I was in my third year of college and had gone to the court to witness a high-profile case. The courtroom was jam-packed, with the judge present. I wasn't the only one that guy molested.'
She went on to explain how she had entered the courtroom with help from a friend of a friend, who was on the legal counsel. What started as an enthusiastic visit quickly turned into a traumatic memory.
'This guy, with his robe on... I felt someone's hand on my b*tt first. I thought I was overthinking — it was very crowded. I looked back, and he was staring straight ahead, not even acknowledging my presence,' she recounted. But the inappropriate contact continued.
'I moved to another position. He followed. He touched my hand, then my b*tt again. I was in shock. Tears welled up,' she said.
