The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) is asking for the public's help in locating a man who is wanted in connection with a homicide back in May.
On May 23, 2025, the WPS responded to the 300 block of Cumberland Avenue following a report of an injured man. Officers located a man on the ground who was suffering from serious upper body injuries.
He was transported to hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.
The man was identified as Ralph Moise, 39, a member of Sayisi Dene First Nation residing in Tadoule Lake.
A Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder has been issued for Paul Xavier Bonnick, 33, who is considered a suspect by investigators.
The WPS said that Bonnick may be armed and is dangerous and should not be approached.
Anyone with information about Bonnick's whereabouts is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
