Bouquet sparks Ruhainies' courtship curiosity
Compiled by MARTIN CARVALHO, C. ARUNO and R. ARAVINTHAN
ACTRESS Ruhainies (pic) recently pondered whether a delegation would be sent to court her after she received a bouquet of flowers from an unknown 'admirer', Kosmo! reported.
The 32-year-old, whose real name is Farehah Zainul Ilyas, uploaded a photograph of herself with the blooms on TikTok.
In the post, the Hikayat Pak Belalang star questioned who the 'mysterious admirer' was.
It drew mixed reactions from TikTok users.
One questioned whether Ruhainies already knew the identity of the sender but did not want to make a fuss, as it could be actor Aliff Aziz, 34.
Another user suggested that the secret admirer might have a hidden motive, while another sarcastically remarked that one could only hope the sender was not someone else's husband.
Ruhainies was previously embroiled in a controversy involving Aliff, who was then married to singer Bella Astillah, 31. The couple, who have two children, have since divorced.
In February, Ruhainies and Aliff pleaded guilty to a charge of khalwat at the Syariah High Court of the Federal Territories and were fined RM3,000 each.
> It is a nine-month wait for the Rafflesia to bloom, and the flower lasts only two or three days.
However, for Ishak Samad, 41, from Kuala Berang, Terengganu, it is well worth the wait, Harian Metro reported.
He said the discovery of the species of the world's single largest individual flower could become a tourist attraction for the Sungai Berua Orang Asli village, where he lives.
There are at least seven such flowers located near Sungai Chomor near the village, which is accessible by foot via a jungle trail, he said.
Ishak said flower lovers and even local Orang Asli would not mind trekking through the jungle to view the Rafflesia's huge petals before they withered.

Young Malaysians Belting Out 'Pretty Little Baby' – TikTok Helps Oldies Live On
Subscribe to our FREE There was a time not that long ago when using background music in your videos could get you in serious trouble. Posting a clip with your favorite song on platforms like YouTube or Instagram often meant facing a copyright strike, video takedown, or worse, getting your account flagged. This made it really hard for everyday users to be creative and musical at the same time. But then came TikTok, and everything changed. No More Fear of Copyright Strikes TikTok made background music accessible thanks to its licensing deals with record labels. The app lets users easily add popular songs, indie tracks, or even viral sounds directly to their videos — no complicated editing needed, and no risk of getting in trouble. With this, old songs are getting rediscovered, and new artists are going viral overnight. One such song to make waves again is Connie Francis' Pretty Little Baby. #SHOWBIZ: Sarimah denies 'demanding' RM10k per drama episode
KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Che Puan Sarimah Ibrahim has clarified a misunderstanding regarding her acting fees, which some have attributed to her status as a royal wife. Sarimah, 47, urged all interested parties to approach her directly to discuss payment rates rather than making unsubstantiated assumptions. "When inviting an actor for a drama series, it's best to discuss terms with them first, rather than jumping to conclusions. "My status as a royal wife leads some to believe my fee is exorbitant, around RM10,000 per episode. This is simply not true," she said. Sarimah, whose husband, Tunku Nadzimuddin Tunku Mudzaffar, is the nephew of the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, stressed that she has never demanded an excessively high fee. "I've never asked for a high fee; perhaps someone else made enquiries on my behalf," she added. Sarimah also revealed her new role as a producer, with plans to create programmes focused on women's empowerment through her company, Sarimah Sdn Bhd. "My goal is to establish collaborations with other producers," she said. "The first show I want to produce is a documentary about female artistes."

Chinese Woman Arrested After Attempting To Break Into BTS' Jungkook's Home
It's only been a day since BTS (방탄소년단) member Jungkook (정국) returned from his military service. However, there has already been a serious invasion of his privacy. Earlier today, news outlets reported that a woman had allegedly attempted to break into the idol's home. According to news reports, Yongsan Police officers have arrested a Chinese woman in her 30s for attempting to trespass on Jungkook's residence in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The incident occurred on the night of 11th June 2025 (Wednesday), at around 11:20pm. Police were called to the scene after neighbours caught the woman pressing the electronic keylock on the door, likely attempting to enter the premises. It's unknown whether Jungkook was at the residence during the incident. However, after her arrest, the woman revealed she came to Korea to see Jungkook following his army discharge. The police are investigating the specific circumstances of the incident. Jungkook's label, HYBE, has commented on the situation but said, 'It's difficult to provide detailed information on the situation as the police are currently investigating the situation.' Meanwhile, ARMYs online have shared their reaction to the news, mostly expressing shock over the situation. Many criticised the woman's action, hoping she'd receive appropriate punishment for attempted trespassing. Others lamented the extreme situation with BTS' stalkers, or sasaengs, urging HYBE to protect their artists. Some also said that the singer has only returned from the military for a day, but already has to deal with stalkers. This case isn't the only issue surrounding BTS' recent military discharge. After RM (알앰), V (뷔), Jimin (지민) and Jungkook completed their military service, roughly 1,500 ARMYs flocked to the HYBE building in Seoul to celebrate the occasion. However, the move sparked a backlash as the large crowd could cause traffic disruptions and possible accidents. In response, Jimin shared a post on the Weverse platform, asking the fans not to gather near the building. While we understand the fans' wishes to meet the BTS members, we hope they can respect the idols' wishes not to gather in front of the HYBE building. As for the break-in case, we hope the perpetrator will receive the appropriate punishment. What are your thoughts on this?
