'As more governments, businesses, and individuals adopt generative AI to get more done, this subtle yet potentially potent attack becomes increasingly pertinent across the industry, demanding immediate attention and robust security measures,' the blog added. He reminded everyone that Google has said it will never ask for login details or alert users about fraud through Gemini.

Google announces Tennessee as site for small modular nuclear reactor
Google , with Kairos Power, has selected Tennessee as the site of an advanced nuclear power plant that is expected to supply electricity to the Big Tech company's data centers in the US southeast starting in 2030, the companies said on Monday. Why it matters? Big Tech is requiring massive amounts of electricity to scale up technologies like generative artificial intelligence in energy-intensive data centers. Those record energy needs are driving US power consumption to new highs and propelling the development of fresh power sources like next-generation nuclear energy. The Tennessee reactor is the first to be deployed as part of Google's corporate agreement, announced last year, to buy nuclear energy from multiple small modular reactors. The deal would support 500 megawatts of advanced nuclear capacity, which is enough to power about 350,000 homes, to be developed by California-based nuclear company Kairos. The 50-gigawatt small modular nuclear power plant will be built in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, under a long-term power purchase agreement with utility Tennessee Valley Authority, to deliver electricity to Google data centers locally and in the state of Alabama. "This collaboration with TVA, Kairos Power, and the Oak Ridge community will accelerate the deployment of innovative nuclear technologies and help support the needs of our growing digital economy while also bringing firm carbon-free energy to the electricity system," said Google's Amanda Peterson Corio. The project marks the first time a US utility has signed a power purchase agreement for so-called generation IV nuclear power, which is generally seen as the most sustainable and safe form of nuclear power technologies in development, the companies said. The event, taking place on Wednesday, August 20, will see the unveiling of the Pixel 10 lineup alongside the Pixel Watch 4 and the Pixel Buds 2a. Leaks over the past few weeks have already given us a strong sense of what to expect. Still, the official launch will provide the final word, tying all the rumours and reports together in one those looking to tune in, the Made by Google event will be livestreamed on Google's official YouTube channel. The broadcast kicks off at 10 AM PT, which translates to 10:30 PM IST for viewers in India. If you're planning to watch live, all you need to do is head to the Made by Google channel on YouTube and set a reminder so you don't miss the it comes to phones, the spotlight is firmly on the Pixel 10 series. Four models are expected: the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The standard Pixel 10 is said to bring the biggest changes compared to last year, with a new colour palette that introduces Indigo, Frost and Limoncello. The design also makes room for a telephoto camera for the first time in a non-Pro Pixel. This model is expected to feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel with slim bezels, peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits, and up to 16GB RAM with storage going all the way up to 1TB. A 5,200mAh battery with faster charging speeds of 39W wired is also on the cards. The rear camera setup is said to include three lenses — a 50-megapixel primary, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 48-megapixel Pixel 10 Pro Fold is perhaps the most eye-catching of the lot. Google has already teased it in an official video, showing off slimmer bezels and a 6.4-inch cover screen. Expected to arrive in Moonstone and Jade, the foldable is rumoured to include a 5,015mAh battery, 23W wired charging, and 15W wireless charging with Qi2 support. Like the rest of the family, it will be powered by the Tensor G5 chip and is expected to offer the same camera consistency Pixel users rely smartphones, the Pixel Watch 4 is also rumoured to make its debut. The smartwatch is expected in two sizes — 41mm and 45mm — with Wi-Fi and LTE versions for both. Pricing details have already leaked, with the 41mm Wi-Fi model tipped at $349 (roughly Rs 30,300) in the US and the 45mm LTE version at $449 (roughly Rs 39,000). A new charging system is also likely on the way, replacing the magnetic puck with a cradle design that should cut down charging times significantly. Reports suggest the watch can reach 50 per cent charge in about 15 minutes. Early buyers could also get access to six months of Fitbit Premium and one month of YouTube Google's audio lineup is set for a refresh with the Pixel Buds 2a. These are the successors to the Pixel Buds A-series that launched back in 2021, making them one of the most overdue updates in Google's range. Expected colours include Iris, Strawberry and Fog Light, with a design that closely resembles previous Pixel Buds but with a more refined finish. While details on specs are light, users can expect better battery performance and clearer audio.
