CM gives green signal to another major ‘Super Six' promise
Vijayawada: On the occasion of coalition government completing one year, as a special gift for mothers Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is going to launch 'Talli Ki Vandanam' scheme on Thursday. As part of it, the State government has decided to release funds for the 'Talli Ki Vandanam' scheme. The scheme will benefit 67 lakh students, with funds to be directly credited to their mothers' bank accounts.
As promised in the manifesto, the State government will implement the scheme in such a way that a mother receives benefits for each of her children on the day of reopening of schools. A total of ₹8,745 crore will be credited to the bank accounts of mothers under the 'Talli Ki Vandanam' scheme.The scheme will also apply to students admitted into Class 1 and Intermediate first year.
Once admissions are completed and data is available, the funds will be credited to the respective mothers' accounts accordingly. The government has issued a GO on Wednesday finalising the operational guidelines. Among the 'Super Six' promises, the government has already implemented pension hike, Anna Canteens, Mega DSC and Deepam-2 scheme - now adding 'Talli Ki Vandanam' to the list.

Distribution of textbooks begins in govt schools
Eluru: The coalition government has initiated reforms to improve the school education system, said Housing, Information and Public Relations Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy. The minister distributed textbooks to students at Edara High School in Agiripalli mandal on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the education department has made arrangements to distribute kits with nine types of items under the name of Sarvepalli Radhakrishna Vidyarthi Mitra on the day of the opening of schools. Similarly, midday meals with fine variety rice will be provided to students. He said that due to this, 1,17,598 students studying in 1,768 government schools and 19,993 students in 132 hostels in the district will benefit. The government has prepared 6,73,00 textbooks, 7,62,338 notebooks etc to be supplied to students in the district. He said that the government is giving top priority to the education sector. As part of this, steps have been taken to fill 1035 teacher posts in the district through the DSC. Several education department officials, local public representatives, coalition leaders, and others participated in the programme. Participating in various development programmes in Agiripalli mandal, Parthasarathy said that many successes have been achieved in the first year of his rule. He laid the foundation stone for the Yadava Community Hall to be built with MPLADS funds of Rs 30 lakh at Nekkalam Gollagudem in Agiripalli mandal, and for the development work of the road from Eedara to Sobanapuram with NABARD funds of Rs 1.5 crore. He said that the development of roads has been given top priority during the rule of the coalition government across the state. He said that construction of roads and drains has been undertaken under the ZP in Nuzvid constituency with Rs 3.55 crore. The Roads & Buildings department has allocated Rs 30 crore on filling potholes apart from Rs 5 crore for the construction of Panchayat Raj roads. As part of welfare, pensions are being given in a large amount that has never been seen anywhere else in the country. He said that Rs 170 crore of NTR Bharosa pension was distributed in the Nuzvid constituency in a year. He said that the government deserves credit for reviving 204 Anna canteens across the state and satisfying the hunger of the poor. He said that from today onwards, the state government is implementing 'Talliki Vandanam'. He said that as part of the filling teacher posts, a Mega DSC has been announced with 16,347 posts and examinations are also being conducted. Many officials, dignitaries, and local public representatives were present at the event.

Centre and State are deceiving public: Congress
Tirupati: Congress leaders including PCC general Secretary Sudhakar Reddy, city Congress president Gowdapera Chittibabu and PCC vice-president Doddareddy Rambhupal Reddy criticised that both the Centre and State governments are deceiving the people by diverting their attention to cover-up their failures. Speaking to the media here on Thursday, Chittibabu said the Centre rake up patriotism and ultra-nationalism, posing that they are the saviours of the country. While the NDA government in the State also, which failed to implement its Super Six promises, is using diversion tactics, they alleged. The Congress leaders further alleged that many promises given by the TDP during election are yet to be fulfilled. Chittibabu announced the new office bearers of the city Congress committee. The new members include vice-presidents Parthasaradhi Reddy, Godugu Chinthala Gopi, Nagaraju Yadav and PV Ramesh. Talari Gopichand, Chengal Rayulu, Siva Kumar, Mahesh Babu and Krishnamurthy are the general secretaries, while Mohan Jagapathi Babu, Jayakumar, Saiman, Chakri, Siva Shakti, Manikanta and Venkatesh are the secretaries.

Garbage-free Bandar is goal: Minister Ravindra
Machilipatnam: Minister for Mines, Geology, and Excise Kollu Ravindra on Thursday stated that his goal is to realise a 'garbage-free Bandar.' He made these remarks at the inauguration of garbage compacting vehicles at the Machilipatnam dumping yard, where he was joined by RTC Chairman Konakalla Narayana Rao and DCMS Chairman Bandi Ramakrishna. Minister Ravindra announced that the work to clear the dumping yard is on track, fulfilling a promise made by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. 'The Chief Minister gave us a promise on October 2 and by this coming October 2, we will remove the dumping yard entirely,' he asserted. He added that plans are being drafted to create wealth from waste. Recalling Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's previous visit to Bandar, where he personally observed the garbage and dumping yard issues, Minister Ravindra highlighted the Chief Minister's commitment to resolving the problem. As part of this commitment, Taruni Associates has been entrusted with solid waste management responsibilities at a cost of Rs 3.75 crore. This initiative will involve segregating wet and dry waste, along with the separation of materials like iron. The Chief Minister has instructed that the entire dumping yard area be converted into a park by October 2. 'We will meticulously follow his directives and establish a park in that area. Local officials are urged to cooperate in this endeavour,' Minister Ravindra stated. Machilipatnam generates approximately 80-90 tonnes of waste daily. To manage this, three compactors worth Rs 3.30 crore have been procured and will be used to clear all accumulated waste. The Minister also mentioned that steps are being taken to establish a waste-to-energy plant locally. He criticised the previous administration for neglecting the municipality, which he claimed led to the current challenges.
