Aamir Khan 's latest offering, Sitaare Zameen Par, ended its first weekend at the Indian box office with promising numbers, though it fell just shy of breaching the Rs 60 crore milestone. The film, which opened to decent figures on Friday, showed strong upward momentum through the weekend, driven by positive word of mouth, family appeal, and the actor's loyal fanbase. According to early estimates on Sacnilk, Sitaare Zameen Par earned Rs 29.00 crore (India net) on Sunday, Day 3. This brings its total weekend collection across all languages to an estimated Rs 59.90 crore net, just under the Rs 60 crore benchmark that many industry trackers had anticipated it would cross. The film opened with an estimated Rs 10.7 crore on Friday and saw a significant jump on Saturday, collecting Rs 20.2 crore.
