Ioan Gruffudd's wife, Bianca, has shared the realities of pregnancy after revealing she was expectin g the couple's first baby on Father's Day. The pair, who met on the set of Aussie ABC series, Harrow, got hitched in April, two years after Hornblower star, Ioan, split up from his first wife, Alice Evans.
Alice is said to be "absolutely fuming" after the couple's baby news, telling fans it was "some kind of torture" after they made their announcement. However, Bianca says she's enduring her own 'torture', conceding she was "shocked to find out how f****d pregnancy is".
Taking to Instagram with a candid video diary, the actress can be seen lying in bed with a heat pack, wincing in pain as she describes how constant vomiting left her bedridden and unable to sleep.
She revealed she's been so violently sick since becoming pregnant, she injured her back and shared a snap of herself looking pale and drained after throwing up a staggering 67 times in one day.
Captioning the carousel of images, which also includes a bowl of cornflakes, which she says is the only food she can keep down, Bianca wrote: "Life lately… Some real moments, because no one needs to be as shocked as I was to find out how f****d pregnancy actually is."
Reassuring others who may be experiencing similarly "s**t" symptoms , she added: "You're not crazy! More often than not it isn't just nausea and "morning sickness". It IS s*t and rough and f**ked and it IS ok to be honest about it!"
Bianca and Ioan announced their baby news on Father's Day as the Welsh actor shared a snap of himself kissing his wife's bump with the caption: "Baby Gruffudd poppin' out to say hello!"
Their fans were quick to send their congratulations, however, Alice wasn't quite as pleased as she posted, without naming the couple: 'Some people like to go low. I can't. Not because I'm better. But because I have kids. This s**t is some kind of torture."
Ioan and Alice formally divorced in July 2023. However, they are still battling fiercely over spousal support for their two daughters Ella, 15, and Elsie, 11.
Alice spoke candidly about the split, telling followers she was in 'excruciating pain' as she opened up about the break-up in agonising detail. in 2021, the 102 Dalmatians star said she was desperately fighting to save the relationship but said she 'can't see' Ioan coming back.
The pair shared a joint statement admitting they were going through a 'difficult time' as their 13 year marriage crumbled. In a follow-up post, Alice took to Instagram to share a photo of a broken heart and another image of a heart on a blackboard with 'Game over' written across it.
Ioan and Bianca went public with their relationship in 2021 after working together in Australia. It was another two years before Ioan's divorce from Alice was finalised.
During that time he went through a bitter court hearing with his ex-wife, where he sought a restraining order against Alice. Ioan and Bianca claimed to have endured a 'smear campaign' of hateful text messages, emails and social media posts from the mum-of-two.
Ioan also fought Alice's request for more money for spousal support, claiming he had paid $400,000 (£294,000) more than he needed to. In court papers he called Alice's claims of poverty were 'exaggerated' and said it's a 'false narrative' that she and the children have been left destitute.
In February this year, Alice claimed she'd been evicted from her home in Los Angeles after being 'unable to pay her rent'. The actress said she and her daughters had been forced to leave and had 'no way of renting even the cheapest room in the city.'

'I'm riding 1,000 miles to get to Glastonbury - people think I'm crazy'
One festivalgoer has taken his journey to Glastonbury to all new lengths as he's been cycling 100km a day for almost a month in a bid to get to Worthy Farm from Madrid, Spain The countdown to Glastonbury is fast approaching, with mere days to go before hundreds of thousands of festivalgoers pitch up their tents for five days of spectacular performances. Over the course of almost a month, he has ventured across majestic mountains, the biggest sand dune in Europe, serene coastlines and desert-like landscapes with just a backpack, a tent and his bicycle. In total, Ollie will travel over 1,600km, or 994 miles, to Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset, racking up 62 miles a day. With just a few days to go until the gates open at Glastonbury on Wednesday, 25 June, at 8 am, Ollie has almost completed his trek and has been documenting his journey on TikTok and Instagram every day. In his most recent update on Sunday, 22 June, Ollie confirmed that he reached Plymouth before heading to Totnes, Devon, where he'd stay the night. He is hoping to reach Glastonbury by Tuesday, 24 June. When asked by the BBC why he opted to ride from Madrid to Worthy Farm, he simply said: "I have a ticket for Glastonbury, so why not cycle?" Speaking further about his experience, he also shared with the news outlet: "A lot of people think I'm crazy for doing this, but for me it doesn't seem too crazy. "It's just a challenge I've set myself and, at the end of the day, once you've done all the preparation, you just have to get on the bike each day and do the kilometres." He described his adventure as "absolutely incredible" and that "everything has been really positive". He's spent time camping alone in secluded, yet beautiful spots across Europe and the UK, while taking in nature and the incredible scenery during each leg of his journey. When he finally reaches his end location, Ollie has a list of performances lined up to watch during the weekend at Glastonbury, including Neil Young, Loyle Carner, Kneecap, Caribou, Scissor Sisters and Kaiser Chiefs. He adds that Neil Young has been a particularly good soundtrack while riding through endless countries.
