Netizens divided over viral video of cow poop dumping in the river
THE arrival of Aidiladha means many things, and among them, the delicious beef curry to feed the hungry masses after the knife work is done.
Recently, however, the holy celebration was blemished by a viral video where people could be seen dumping cow poop into the river.
A great number of netizens condemned the action, stating that it was pollution. Some even compared it to the pig poop dumping in the river which gained traction in the past election.
According to netizen @apanakdikato who posted the video, these people were fools as the polluted water will affect the campers or anyone who were attempting to bathe there.

Towards his comment, @ZZammani87535 said he was likely a man from the city who only knows how to eat. 'Surely you are not the type to slaughter and clean the cow,' he said.
Another netizen pointed out that the villagers usually wash the cow's stomach in a place where the water is flowing.
He further added that the green substance in the video was not poop, but remnants within the stomach which was only grass.
@eb1rah replied that if their ancestors have been doing it since a long time ago, like robbing a bank, does it make it right to do so?
@noraakira countered that the people know not to bathe in the river during the Aidiladha celebration as they know the villagers will be washing the stomachs.
On another note, @kamaruddin_che suggested the villagers dig a big hole and dispose of the contents there.
Then there was the religious @xlyxxsly claiming that river water is 'air mutlak,' which is holy.
'Even though there is impurity in the river, if the amount of river water exceeds 270 liters, then the river water is not considered impure, as long as the color, smell and taste do not change. Brother, walk 10 meters forward, the impurity is no longer visible,' he said.

Embassy hosts Aidiladha celebration for Malaysians in Bangkok

Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of Malaysia to Thailand, Bong Yik Jui, said while Aidiladha signified the values of sacrifice, devotion, and unity among Muslims worldwide, it also solemnly reflected to the duty and dedication carried out by the mission, in upholding Malaysia's interests overseas. The embassy also welcomed a visiting delegation from the Royal Military College (RMC), comprising 32 Putera cadets and five officers at the celebration. The delegation, led by its Commandant, Brig Gen Shaiful Azuar Ariffin, is currently in Bangkok for a one-week student exchange programme with Thailand's Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School (AFAPS).
