Wiebes sprints to stage four win at Tour de France Femmes
The Dutch rider from Team SD Worx launched her move around 250 metres from the line and proved untouchable, sealing another emphatic stage victory. Fellow Dutch rider Marianne Vos took second place, with Ireland's Lara Gillespie finishing third.
The largely flat 130.7-km stage from Saumur to Poitiers saw the peloton remain tightly packed until the closing stretch before a showdown amongst the sprinters.
Wiebes timed her effort perfectly, leaving her rivals unable to respond before it was too late.
She also triumphed in a chaotic sprint on Monday and now sits second overall, trailing Vos, who retains the yellow jersey.

Expert brands Rangers' Oliver Antman coup as €28m 'robbery'
And if the Dutch club were to replace the winger with the same standard of player, it would cost them an eye-watering €28m. That's according to a European football scouting expert. Joost van der Leij has taken to social media to detail just how much of a coup Rangers' new signing is for the Ibrox club. He insists that Go Ahead will have a tough task on their hands to find a value-for-money replacement, while stating Rangers will be 'very happy' with their new Finnish recruit. He wrote on X: "We already liked Oliver Antman a lot, but I didn't expect Oliver Antman to do this good. "Because he was a superstar winger in the Dutch Eredivisie in 24/25 with very high finishing probability and very high defending probability at the same time. Read more: "He even has decent passing game probability. "Replacement value for Go Ahead Eagles is a stunning: €28,785,876! He just went to Rangers for £4.4m. "Rangers robbed the living daylights out of Go Ahead. "Best transfer to Scotland I have looked at so far. Rangers is probably going to be very happy with him."

Nobel Mendy to Rangers transfer latest as battle for Real Betis defender intensifies
The left-sided defender is in demand this summer Rangers have expressed an interest in Real Betis defender Nobel Mendy. Reports in Spain claim the Ibrox outfit are leading the race to sign the 20-year-old Frenchman. But Record Sport has been told that while Gers boss Russell Martin and sporting director Kevin Thelwell are keen on the former Paris FC kid, there is a long way to go before a deal is reached. Mendy joined Betis and has registered a handful of appearances for the Seville-based outfit in both La Liga and the Europa Conference League. The 6ft 2ins centre-back is naturally left sided and would offer Martin's side a better balance at the back after the new Gers gaffer was forced to start his campaign playing with four right-footed stoppers. Mendy had been due to move to Holland this summer but saw a switch to PSV Eindhoven break down as the Dutch giants had already used up their quota for foreign talent. But Rangers could yet face competition if they do decide to push ahead with a move, with Rayo Vallecano and Club Brugge also keeping tabs on the defender. The Light Blues have also been linked with a move for Arsenal goalkeeper Karl Hein. The Estonia international spent the whole of last season on loan at Real Valladolid and is also said to be attracting interest from fellow La Liga side Sevilla. Hein has made just one first team appearance between the sticks in seven years at the Emirates but won praise from boss Mikel Arteta last year after signing a contract that will expire in 2026 with the North London giants. After handing Hein minutes in pre-season, Spaniard Arteta said: "Karl has continued to impress us with his attitude and commitment to getting better every day. "We value being part of his continued development and I want to congratulate him on earning a new deal with the club. "I'm very happy for him. Obviously, he had to be really patient and wait for his opportunity. "He came back from his holidays really sharp and prepared; he knew that he had big games ahead of him and he started tonight, and I think he had a really good performance."

Awkward moment Rangers boss Russell Martin's BBC interview is abruptly cut off live on TV as he admits ‘I talk too much'

But he might not have been too pleased about getting cut-off on live TV! After hitting out as his players in the wake of Saturday's 1-1 draw at Motherwell, the Gers boss got the response he wanted. Djeidi Gassama struck twice either side of a Cyriel Dessers penalty as the Light Blues took control of the tie with a 3-0 win at Ibrox. It means Martin's men have one foot in the play-off round ahead of next Tuesday's second leg back in the Czech Republic. The Gers boss was delighted with the performance and he joined the BBC team pitchside for a post-match debrief. Martin joined presenter Jonathan Sutherland and ex-Rangers stars Andy Halliday and Peter Lovenkrands with just over five minutes left to run on the programme. Plenty of time, you'd think, but apparently not! Time was of the essence when both Sutherland and Halliday attempted to ask a question at the same time, with the host giving the Motherwell midfielder the chance to ask his after his own. That ate into much of the time left on the broadcast. It meant there wasn't much time left to run at all when Sutherland asked Martin his final question. Rangers star John Souttar opens up on his future as he reveals new contract talks have stalled This much was clear when the presenter asked Martin to deliver his final answer "in a word." He asked: "So Russell - in a word - a lot happier tonight than you were on Saturday?" Martin then began to answer the question, responding: "Yeah, I wasn't emotional on Saturday, I promise, I wasn't - I was just unhappy with some of the stuff..." With the Rangers manager in full flow, the presenter interrupted Martin, telling him: "We have to leave it there, Russell, thank you so much." Martin initially looks a bit surprised to be getting cut-off, but takes it in his stride, joking: "I talk too much." The 39-year old then shook the hands of Halliday and Lovenkrands before somewhat awkwardly walking off screen - BBC microphone still in hand - as Sutherland hurried to bring the show to an end before crashing off-air. Rangers, meanwhile, have been linked with a move for Real Betis defender Nobel Mendy. The 20-year old centre back, who can also play left back, had looked set for a switch to Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven. But that transfer appears to be off due to a work permit situation. 6 Russell Martin led Rangers to victory against Viktoria Plzen Credit: Willie Vass Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page
