Dua Lipa jokes she 'feels like she's taking a shower' as she performs in torrential rain during first tour gig at Anfield and brings out surprise guest

Dua Lipa pushed through the rainy weather in Liverpool on Tuesday night as she stepped onto the stage for her first Radical Optimism tour gig at Anfield.
The British singer, 29, who is set to perform a second night at the stadium on June 26, made sure to put on a killer performance for fans despite the weather.
As the Grammy award winner made her way into the crowd for hit Be the One, she joked, 'It feels like were taking a shower together or something, this is insane!'
Dua stunned in a daring black sequin bodysuit which boasted two cut outs displaying her toned midriff and a halterneck buckle neckline.
She added a pair of matching long gloves and completed the ensemble with fishnet tights and knee high boots.
Leaving her long wet tresses loose, the Dance The Night hitmaker later slipped into a bold blue lace sequin number which she teamed with matching stockings.
During the gig, Dua surprised concert goers by bring out Liverpudlian Dave McCabe of the Zutons to perform hit Valerie.
American singer Dove Cameron and English singer-songwriter Alessi Rose the support acts took to the stage once again on the second night.
Another stage look saw the One Kiss singer wearing a dazzling custom Swarovski white bodysuit with a chunky diamond necklace as she performed her hits.
Towards the end of the concert, Dua returned to the hit songs that prompted her rise to fame, including 2016's Be The One, and her 2017 break-up anthem New Rules.
The performance follows sold‑out shows across Europe, including multiple stops in Paris, Madrid, Amsterdam, Munich, which were preceded by earlier dates across Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
After the final date in Liverpool, the Grammy award winner will jet to Dublin before kick-starting the American leg of her tour.
The gig comes days after Dua partied the night away with fiancé Callum Turner as she celebrated 'fulfilling her dreams' after performing two shows at Wembley Stadium this weekend.
The hitmaker sizzled at the star-studded afterparty at White City House in London on Saturday in a racy sheer dress that showcased every inch of her jaw-dropping figure as well as her skimpy lingerie.
Callum, 35, who popped the question in December after a year of dating, couldn't keep his hands off the stunner and cheekily squeezed her bottom as they hit the dance floor.
Towards the end of the concert, Dua returned to the hit songs that prompted her rise to fame, including 2016's Be The One, and her 2017 break-up anthem New Rules
She looked in good spirits in a long fur coat despite the torrential downpour
Taking to Instagram Dua shared snaps from the bash as she enjoyed martinis and was joined by famous friends including Charli XCX, who appeared with her on stage earlier in the evening, Lily Allen and Amelia Dimoldenberg.
She captioned the post: 'Somehow managed to keep on dancing... adrenaline is one hell of a drug'.
The Houidini singer thrilled the roaring crowd of 70,000 when she introduced the British pop sensation Charli, 32, as her special guest.
She said: 'So this next song, I thought I'd bring a friend out. Let me tell you, she is the biggest brat. Give it up for Charli XCX!'
The pair then tore into Charli's infectious hit 360, sending the energy through the roof as fans went wild for the unforgettable surprise duet.
Throughout the night, Dua once again stunned in an array of dazzling outfits as she performed on the UK stage.
Just the day before, she made an emotional arrival on stage as she broke down in tears while performing her first ever show at Wembley, thanking her fans for their support.
Kicking off the first of her two nights at the venue, Dua then surprised her fans when she was joined by special guest Jamiroquai.
Jamiroquai, real name Jay Kay, was her surprise act of the evening as the 90s star, who is best known for hits Virtual Insanity and Cosmic Girl, joined her for one song.
Bringing him out on stage, Dua gushed: 'This is someone who really inspired me when I first started out.
'Someone who I feel like is a massive trailblazer in music and has kind of paved the way.'
She added: 'I feel so lucky to share this stage with the one of one, the only, give it up for Jamiroquai!'
Dua was initially set to play just one show at the London venue on Friday 20 June 2025, as part of her Radical Optimism tour.
But due to the phenomenal demand, the pop star stayed in the English capital for a second night to put on another performance.
Speaking in an interview with Vogue this month, Dua said: 'That's definitely been a massive dream, and it's going to be quite surreal. You know, stadiums: that seems pretty scary.
'Adrenaline is an incredible drug can hear people screaming before I'm even on.'
She added: 'That's when my heart starts racing. Moments before, I'm like: 'Oh, my God, we're doing this.' And I'm ready to go.'

Amazon Fire Stick users could face a £1,000 fine for watching Glastonbury

It is the most hotly anticipated music festival of the summer. But if you try to tune in to Glastonbury this weekend on your Amazon Fire Stick, you might end up facing a massive fine. Using a Fire Stick means you will be able to watch all the action streaming on BBC iPlayer from 19:00 BST on Friday. However, you could face a fine of up to £1,000 if you don't have a TV licence - that's almost three times more than a ticket to see Glastonbury live. The issue is that Glastonbury is a live broadcast, which you'll need a TV licence to watch. At £174.50 per year, this isn't cheap - but it is certainly less expensive than the hefty fee you'll face if you ignore it. 'Not paying for a TV Licence could lead to a £1,000 fine if we find that you have been watching, recording or downloading programmes illegally,' TV Licensing explains on its website. 'The maximum fine is £2,000 in Guernsey. Plus any legal costs and/or compensation you may be ordered to pay.' Amazon Fire Sticks' main appeal is that they give users access to a mixture of popular streaming services, including Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and Apple TV+. However, a lesser-known benefit is that they also let you access a wide range of BBC content. Earlier this year, Amazon quietly added the option to watch 10 BBC channels through the 'live' tab on the Fire Stick. Those include BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Three, BBC Four, CBBC, CBeebies, BBC News, BBC Scotland, and BBC Alba, as well as BBC iPlayer. Although you don't need a TV licence to watch on-demand streaming services, you do need one to watch anything on BBC iPlayer. That means tuning into Glastonbury through the BBC's streaming service is a breach of the rules. Likewise, you also need a TV licence if you watch any live broadcasts like Glastonbury. This includes any live broadcasts, such as sporting events, on streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. TV Licensing explains: 'You need to be covered by a TV Licence to watch live on streaming services - such as ITVX, Channel 4, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Now, Sky Go, YouTube, Netflix and Freely. 'You don't need a TV Licence if you never watch live on any channel, pay TV service or streaming service, or use BBC iPlayer.' These rules also apply to anything that has been broadcast live in the past, even if you're watching a recording on catch-up services. So it won't matter if you watch the Glastonbury broadcast as it happens or catch up the next day, you still need a licence to avoid getting fined. The cost of a TV Licence recently increased by £5 per year, rising from £169.50 to £174.50 on April 1. While you can pay this in one go, most people choose to spread the cost by Direct Debit - this works out at £14.54 per month. 'We could visit your address to confirm if you need a TV Licence,' TV Licensing warned. 'If we find that you have been watching, recording or streaming programmes illegally, you risk prosecution and a fine for not having a TV Licence of up to £1,000 plus any legal costs and/or compensation you may be ordered to pay.'

The truth behind Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden's shock split that left him blindsided as she moved in with TV star

THEY appeared to have it all, flying careers, three beautiful boys and an impressive country mansion - but out of the blue, it all came crashing down for Matthew Wolfenden. His partner of 15 years, Charley Webb, brutally ended their marriage - and now for the first time, insiders have revealed why she decided to call it quits and move in with a star actress. 13 13 In 2023, Charley, now 37, embarked on her first stage tour. It was a big deal, landing a part playing Diana Ingram in Quiz - her first notable role since she quit playing Debbie Dingle in Emmerdale. And she shone on stage - Charley received rave reviews and insiders say it sparked a burning desire to take her life in a new direction. A source close to Charley said: 'It was a big turning point for her when she landed the role and took to the road. 'It was the first time in years she was fully herself again, not mum, not Debbie - but a stage actress. 'There was a lot of downtime when she was on her own, and she really had a chance to think about what she wanted from her life.' Husband Matthew was meanwhile at their home in Yorkshire, looking after their boys Buster, 15, Bowie, eight, and Ace, four, completely unaware of what was to come. He had just left Emmerdale and was getting ready to head to London for a stage show of his own. Charley moved back to the family home, while Matthew headed to London to appear in Elf, where he met and fell for his current girlfriend - Heather Scott Martin, who was also working in the production. An insider revealed: 'It was incredibly hard for Matthew because people saw him with Heather and assumed he was behind the split. Emmerdale star Charley Webb flaunts her toned abs as she strips to black bikini on holiday in Turkey 'He kept a dignified silence at the time and only decided to speak out about it all much later on. 'By that time, the dust had settled and Charley had found solace elsewhere.' And that new independent direction was supported by close pal and fellow stage and screen star Sheridan Smith. 'Out of the blue' Matthew, 45, has since spoken openly about the break up - admitting it wasn't his decision and he wouldn't have gone about it in the way Charley did, revealing his concern for their boys. He recalled: 'Out of the blue, I got this news that she wanted to separate. 13 13 'It was a tough time for me, it was a time of big changes, and then this on top of things wasn't the best news in the world. But things happen for a reason and yeah. 'It was a very very tough time, but these things happen, and I'm not the first person in the world to have separated from their partner with kids involved. 'It was the fact that the kids were quite young, and it wasn't only a couple of years ago. That was a concern to me. We had to move onwards.' He added on the podcast The Lewis Nicholls Show: 'I didn't expect it at all, it was a big shock. Separation is very difficult when you've spent 15 years together, your lives together and everything you own is together - just sorting out.' 'Huge support' Once he returned from London, the former couple kept their house for another year before putting it on the market for £900,000 in January this year. After Charley moved out in late 2023, she move in with best pal Sheridan finding comfort with her fellow single mum, an award winning TV, film and stage star. Sheridan, 44, shares a son, Billy, with her former fiancé, Jamie Horn, and recently split with her boxer boyfriend, Dave Ryan. The pals' bond grew further last summer when they jetted off to Greece for a sun-soaked holiday. The two even spent Christmas together, which Charley called her 'favourite Christmas yet', sharing joyful snaps of their celebrations. Charley became a big part of Billy's life and has supported Sheridan, who she calls 'bae', with childcare while she works. 13 13 A friend revealed: 'Sheridan and Charley have both been huge supports for each other. 'They have been through similar things and have also bonded over their love of acting. 'They love spending time together and even got a dog together. 'Their kids are all really close now too, so it just works really well.' We're always going to have a relationship. Matthew Wolfenden Initially, things were frosty between Charley and Matthew as they tried to work out their new arrangement, but the former couple have put their differences aside and found a way forward. Matthew explained: 'Everything was a bit up in the air for the first few months, but we're very very amicable, we're still friends and we've got kids together, so you have to be. 'We had the best 15 years together, and we had three amazing kids together. But in terms of co-parenting, we decided we'd do a week on, week off.' And for now, the situation seems to be working well - Matthew is still with his new love, Heather, Charley is landing exciting new roles, but most importantly, their children are happy. It's thought Charley was slightly perturbed about Matthew's decision to air their dirty laundry, but she is happy to move on. She recently jetted off on a girls' holiday to Bodrum, Turkey and delighted fans with a series of bikini snaps as she relished her new independence before flying home to Sheridan. The friend added: 'Matthew might have been blindsided about the split, but he has managed to work through his initial shock and concern. He feels better that people know it wasn't his choice. 'They have really shown how to co-parent properly and are determined to keep things amicable - no matter what.' 13
