Just days after their WWE contracts officially expired, Karrion Kross and Scarlett have been announced for their first post-WWE appearance. The booking at a major independent convention seems to be the strongest evidence yet that their departure from the company is legitimate.
The Big Event NY announced on Wednesday night that Kross and Scarlett will appear at their EXS Entertainment x Sports Expo. The event will take place on Saturday, November 15, in Brentwood, New York.

In the interview, Kross confirmed that his contract expired on August 10th. He stated that he was not given a contract offer until last week, and when he asked for the data behind the company's valuation, the offer was rescinded after a 24-hour deadline.

Despite the messy exit, Kross maintained that he and Scarlett still want to return to WWE. This, combined with WWE's recent history of "worked shoot" storylines like the one with R-Truth, has led many fans to believe that his departure is all part of an elaborate angle.

Is The "Work" Finally Over?
This new, independent booking is the first concrete evidence that Kross and Scarlett are truly free agents. WWE typically does not allow contracted talent, even those involved in a storyline, to be advertised for unaffiliated convention appearances. Kross and Scarlett were officially moved to the alumni section of WWE.com this past Sunday.
