A MATCHING tattoo with your significant other is always a cute idea - if you know you'll spend the rest of your life with them.
Or if - as one woman recently discovered - you double-check the adorable inking doesn't stand for something else.

Keen to take the relationship to the next step and showcase their love for one another, Lauren Mullane and her former partner got matching tattoos.
The inking that the young Irish lass placed on her wrist read ''Siempre'' - which in Spanish translates to ''Always''.
But while the pair may have not thought much about the seemingly innocent tattoo, Lauren was in for the shock of her lifetime after a visit to the local Lidl left her mortified.
Sharing the epic fail on her TikTok page, the blonde beauty revealed how the romantic ''Siempre'' had a very different meaning in the beauty aisle - where a period pad brand was also named Siempre.
To make the matters even worse, it appeared that both the wrist inking and the brand's logo had the exact same font, leaving Lauren horrified.
''POV: You get a matching tattoo with your ex and it turns out to be the Lidl period pad range logo,'' she wrote in the video.
''At least I have a monthly reminder now,'' she joked in the caption.
'Brand ambassador'
Since being posted on the social media platform, the unfortunate yet hilarious blunder has left people in hysterics.
The short video has racked up more than a whopping 800k views, close to 14k likes and over 250 shares.
In total stitches, dozens flooded to comments, where one person dubbed Lauren ''brand ambassador''.
I got an elephant tattoo - but it looks like a penis
Another was just as mortified as the young Irish lass, writing: ''Even got the same font.''
A third chimed in: ''ABSOLUTELY NOT.''
''Paid partnership incoming,'' someone else chuckled.
Luckily, not everyone thought the funny mishap was as bad, with one writing: ''It means always so you're good!
''I'd know the meaning straight away, I would not ever have thought of the period products!''
Tattoo Do's and Don'ts
1. Think, think and think some more
Tattoos done on a whim are far more likely to lead to regret than a tattoo you thought long and hard about. Think about why you want what you've chosen. And if you still want it after a few months, then get it.
2. Age restrictions apply
You must be 18 years old to be tattooed in the UK.
3. Don't haggle over the price
When you go to a tattoo shop the price is the price. You are paying for an artist's time and skills, they charge what they believe those things are worth.
4. Don't get tattooed while you're hungry
Eat before you go for your tattoo session and make sure you're hydrated. You're about to be subjected to a period of sustained physical discomfort, if you're feeling a little weak from hunger or you're dehydrated things will not go as smoothly as they should.
5. Don't drink alcohol before you get tattooed
If you are drunk or under the influence of drugs, don't go for a tattoo. In fact, if your tattooist has anything at all about them they will turn you away if you are clearly under the influence of any intoxicating substances. I'd also avoid drinking the night before, even a few drinks will thin your blood and make your bleed more.
Phallic tattoo design gone wrong

While she did have it fixed, eagle-eyed social media users said they could still see the phallic design

This comes just days after one mum was left horrified after she discovered her brand new sleeve inking looked like something very rude.
Mother-of-three Christine Philippa forked out for the floral inking five years ago and initially loved the design - which also included a naked woman's image facing away.
But what the mum, from New Zealand, didn't realise right away is that when she was wearing a short sleeve top or dress, the outline of the female figure resembled something phallic.
Desperate to get rid of the unfortunate design and placement, Christina recently popped down to have the sleeve inking finished - in hopes to get rid of the awkward fail.
She shared on TikTok: ''I've had a ball sack on my arm for five years now and now it's time to fix it.''
According to the brown-eyed stunner, she had designed the inking with her pal - and at the time, didn't account for what the naked woman's ''butt would look like when it's covered''.
Christine, who posts under the username @christinephilippa, made an appointment with a tattoo whizz who completed the rest of the floral design.
All chuffed with the makeover - which also included the dates of her children's birthdays - Christine proudly showed off her fresh artwork.
The stunning piece included a range of different florals, with the woman sat in the middle between the top and bottom part.
''Isn't that absolutely stunning? I am obsessed with it,'' she said in the now-viral video.
''I have a floral piece on my shoulder as well, so it all kind of ties in nicely.''
Since being posted online, the tattoo transformation has racked up close to 700k views at the time of writing, as well as 36k likes, 352 shares and over 50 comments.
But while the young mum may have been pleased with the results, brutal social media users insisted the phallic fail was still peeking through.
One eagle-eyed TiKToker joked: ''But it's still there lol still gonna look the same when the rest is covered.
''Now the sack's just surrounded by flowers lol.''
Another agreed, adding: ''I mean, I can still see it?''

Awkward four-word detail on cafe receipt raises eyebrows: 'I am guilty of this'

A couple were left highly amused after noticing a very bizarre detail on their receipt after ordering drinks at a cafe. The pair were drinking a latte and cappuccino at Willo Café in Kew, east Melbourne, when they were handed a receipt. A very amusing four-word description of the couple had been left at the top by the waiter. 'Those weird people outside,' it read. The couple shared a video of the receipt to TikTok along with the caption: 'Cafe description a bit different today.' Social media users immediately saw the humour in it and shared their own experiences. 'I once wore a black jacket and a black dress at a restaurant and when I was paying the bill said "Batwoman",' one wrote. 'Once my barista pre-emptively said "your receipt says clown on it but it's only because your t-shirt has a clown on it and we can quickly identify you",' another said. 'Mine once had written on it "special needs" when I asked for a dairy-free alternative,' a third person wrote. Some claimed to be baristas who had deliberately left their own tongue-in-cheek notes on receipts. 'If a lady was ever rude or condescending to me I would always put "older lady" and the colour of their shirt,' one said. 'Sorry but I am guilty of this,' another said. 'I keep forgetting table numbers so I need a way to describe the customers. "Bald dude", "beard dude", "person with the coloured top", "person with the kid".' 'Honestly I always say if customers could see the notes we use to describe them we'd be out of a job,' a third chimed in. A Willo Cafe manager clarified to Daily Mail Australia the pair were well known to staff. 'There's a few couples that we have a bit of fun with and do descriptions of and we've become friends with them,' they said. They said the pair had previously been described on their receipt as the 'gorgeous couple outside' and that staff were coming up with more creative and funny alternatives.

World's sexiest volleyball star Kayla Simmons goes topless on beach as fans say ‘never been jealous of ocean until now'

KAYLA SIMMONS went topless and swam near sharks in her most Jaws-dropping photoshoot ever. The former university volleyball star modestly claimed she was just "playing mermaids". 19 Kayla Simmons lapped up both the sun and Instagram likes as fans foamed over 'one of her hottest' photoshoots Credit: 19 The fearless star went for a plucky dip Credit: 19 Fans believe Kayla was some-fin special Credit: 19 Admirers were awed by her boldness Credit: But her 1million Instagram followers believe it was more about thrills than gills as she dazzled on the beach and underwater. One admirer reflected: "Never been jealous of the ocean until now." Another fan claimed the social media sensation had "a smile to launch a thousand ships". Kayla's nautical but nice snaps included her lying on the sand in a bikini that was minus its upper half. She was also seen in a short video wading into the sea, still without a top. And once she plunged under, marine lovers might reckon some of the exotic sealife she was snapped with - including huge fish - was almost as impressive as Kayla's free-spirited dip. But woe betide anyone whispering that to her army of enthusiasts. One fan raved: "One of your hottest sets... so stunning Kayla!" Another wrote: "Everything about this is incredible." A third simply stated: "Most beautiful woman in the world." Kayla Simmons films herself in sauna wearing just a tiny bikini as 'world's sexiest volleyball player' sends fans wild And a fourth posted: "I love your natural beauty." A few observers did worry about what looked like sharks just metres away - with Kayla even seen swimming towards one such beast. And when she was asked where the snaps were taken, she replied: "First photo is Hawaii." That Pacific island state is home to around 40 types of shark - but nearly all those varieties are safe to humans, with bite attacks very rare. So Kayla probably felt safe beneath the surface being... "snapped". The part-time mermaid also proved she's a full-time marvel on Instagram - as she rapidly clocked up thousands of likes for her assortment of aquatic pics. Singer and TikTok star Addison Rae changes her stage name

Addison Rae is now going by a new stage name. The singer and TikTok star, who just released her self-titled debut album on June 6, has dropped the name 'Rae' from her professional moniker and is now known simply as Addison. 'I said it in an interview, I was just like, 'Oh, I think I've grown past being called Addison Rae,'' Addison told host Quenlin Blackwell during a June 8 appearance on Blackwell's 'Feeding Starving Celebrities' YouTube series. 'Then the album being named 'Addison' kind of was a tie-in for that,' she added. The 'Diet Pepsi' singer, 24, said there is also a more practical reason behind her decision. 'I just am tired of also signing Addison Rae. It's really long. I just would rather sign Addison,' she said, laughing. 'And then I was like, 'Yeah, it just makes more sense because, like, it's going back to the roots really.'' Still, Addison, who was born Addison Rae Easterling, said she won't be upset if longtime friends and fans still think of her as Addison Rae. 'Whoever knows me as Addison Rae and knew me as Addison Rae will always know me as that,' she said. Addison joins a growing list of celebrities who have opted to tweak their professional names during the past year. Just last month, Angelina Jolie's 19-year-old daughter Shiloh Jolie — who'd already dropped her father Brad Pitt's surname from her own in 2024 — choreographed an original dance piece under the name Shi Joli. Former 'Teen Mom 2' star Kailyn Lowry's 15-year-old son, who was formerly known as Isaac Elliott Rivera, announced last week on his mom's 'Barely Famous' podcast that he was now going by his middle name, Elliott. Meanwhile, Malia Obama, the 27-year-old daughter of former President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama, has been using the professional name Malia Ann as a writer and director in Hollywood. Michelle Obama opened up about her older daughter dropping the Obama name professionally when she recently appeared on Kate and Oliver Hudson's 'Sibling Revelry' podcast. The former first lady said it was natural for young adults — especially those from famous families — to want to 'push away' from their family name at some point. 'You're trying to distinguish yourself,' she explained, adding, 'It is very important for my kids to feel like they've earned what they are getting in the world, and they don't want people to assume that they don't work hard, that they're just naturally handed things,' she added. ' 'They're very sensitive to that. They want to be their own people.' 'Malia, who started in film, and it being her first project, she took off her last name, and we were like, 'They're still going to know it's you, Malia,'' she added with a laugh. 'But we respected the fact that she's trying to make her way.'
