Watch: Man To Be Deported To India Breaks Free On Heathrow Runway

NDTV10-06-2025
An investigation has been opened after an immigration detainee who was being deported from the UK to India managed to free himself and run aimlessly on the tarmac of Heathrow Airport. The man was captured on video, sprinting across the runway at Terminal 2 on Sunday (Jun 8) as the guards ran after him.
The entire kerfuffle lasted several minutes before the man was apprehended by workers wearing hi-vis vests. He was detained on the ground with the support of police officers who were also on the scene, according to a report in The Telegraph.
The incident came to light after it was captured by a plane spotter and posted on the YouTube channel Big Jet TV.
"What's going on here? Why would there be people running across the [tarmac]? Isn't there anyone fit enough to take him down?" the person who filmed the incident could be heard saying."
With commercial jets taking off and landing in close proximity, the man could have jeopardised the safety of the passengers and airport staff.
"They are going to have to stop the operations, they are going to have to stop aircraft moving, he is running straight towards them," the man added, becoming increasingly frustrated with the extended chase.
Social media reacts
As the incident went viral, social media users questioned the airport authorities, while others poked fun at the fitness of the guards chasing the man.
"They should have called for the armed cops and took him down. He was risking the aircraft and the many passengers on board them. And please check the fitness of those chasing him. Joke," said one user while another added: "Probably had a look round and said to himself, I am outta here...get me home."
A third commented: "Dude took the word runway to a new level. I was waiting for him to start flapping his arms prior to taking to the air like Jimbo and the Jetset."

A Heathrow spokesperson said: "Working with partners, we have quickly resolved an incident at the airport involving an individual who accessed the airfield taxiway. The individual has been removed from the airport."
"The airport continues to operate as normal, and passengers are travelling as planned."

YouTuber booked for spreading false information about Haryana CET

The Panchkula police has registered an FIR against a YouTuber for allegedly spreading misleading and false information about the Haryana Common Eligibility Test (CET) on social media. Inspector Rupesh Chaudhary, SHO of Sector-5 police station, said that on August 1, HSSC official Kedar Singh filed a complaint alleging that Prince Lamba, a journalist-anchor of the YouTube channel Haryana News 24, had uploaded two videos on July 26 and 27 regarding the CET examination. The videos carried sensational headlines such as 'CET Cancelled, Will the Paper be Held Again' and 'HSSC's Big Betrayal of Lakhs of Youth! Uproar in Haryana''. According to the complaint, these videos created confusion among lakhs of candidates in the state. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Srishti Gupta said that, considering the seriousness of the matter, a case has been registered against the accused under sections 335 and 353(1)(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and an investigation is underway. The accused has been served a legal notice and further proceedings are in progress. 'We want to make it clear that strict legal action will be taken against anyone spreading misleading information regarding examinations or recruitment processes,' Gupta stated.

Who is Schlep? Roblox YouTuber gets account banned after catching alleged child predators live on stream

(Image via @RealSchlep/YouTube & Roblox Corporation) Schlep, a YouTuber who built his online following by hunting alleged 'predators' inside Roblox, is now in the headlines for a very different reason. The 22-year-old creator's Roblox account has been terminated, and he says the gaming giant has sent him a cease and desist letter threatening possible legal action. YouTuber behind viral predator stings loses Roblox account overnight On August 10, 2025, Schlep took to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal that his Roblox account was gone. Alongside the announcement, he posted screenshots of what he says is a cease and desist notice from Roblox Corporation accusing him of 'unauthorized and harmful activities' on the platform. The letter accused him of violating Roblox's rules by engaging in staged child-endangerment chats, posting identifiable information, and moving conversations off-platform. Schlep's videos, popular on YouTube, often showed him posing as minors to bait adults attempting inappropriate contact. He claims his work has helped lead to six arrests across the United States. Roblox, however, said the methods crossed the line, arguing they interfered with official safety measures. Roblox says 'good intentions' don't override safety rules In the notice, Roblox reportedly acknowledged that Schlep's stated goal was protecting children. However, the company argued that his methods disrupted its own moderation and safety systems, potentially increasing risk for players. The letter stated that failing to report suspicious activity through official Roblox channels was a violation, one that, in the company's view, exposed users to harm. The termination, it said, was in line with its community standards, and it warned that further violations could lead to legal action. Schlep takes his fight to Senator Ted Cruz Less than 24 hours later, Schlep's story took another turn. On August 11, he tagged U.S. Senator Ted Cruz in a public post, asking for a conversation about Roblox and child safety. In the message, Schlep identified himself as a Texas resident and said he was a victim of grooming on Roblox as a child. He argued that the platform's negligence toward protecting young players had already been the subject of lawsuits in Texas. He also claimed that despite his own efforts leading to multiple arrests, Roblox targeted him instead of addressing the root problem. A viral flashpoint for gaming, safety, and free speech Schlep's situation has become one of the most talked-about Roblox controversies of the year. His fans see a whistleblower punished for protecting kids; Roblox sees a rogue actor bypassing safety systems. For now, his account remains closed, the legal warning stands, and the community is left wondering whether this is the end of his Roblox career — or the start of an even bigger fight. Supreme Court talks tough during order on stray dogs in Delhi: ‘We can't sacrifice our children merely because…'

Heavily coming down on animal and dog lovers, the Supreme Court on Monday asked if they would be able to 'bring back children' who fell prey to rabies and directed the removal of all strays from Delhi-NCR streets. The suo motu case hearing over dog bite instances also saw a bench of Justices J B Pardiwala and R Mahadevan refuse to entertain any of their intervention applications, calling the situation in the national capital region 'extremely grim'. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta had, during the hearing, sought 'something to be done' against the 'menace of stray dog bites.' 'We can't sacrifice our children merely because few individuals feel that they are animal lovers or something,' he said. When an advocate appearing for an animal welfare activist said animal birth control centres were already set up in Delhi and just needed to be made functional, Justice Pardiwala said nothing was working and added, 'This is a time to act. All these animal activists, all these so called lovers, will they be able to bring back all those children who have fallen prey to rabies? Will they put life back to those children?' The top court said the first and foremost step was to round up strays from all localities, including those situated on the outskirts of the city, and relocate them to a far-off place. The authorities in Delhi-NCR were accordingly ordered to pick up stray dogs, sterilise and immunise them, and keep them at dog shelters. When the lawyer appearing for an animal welfare activist said the court should clarify that its directions would not affect pet dogs, the bench observed, 'Your stray dog should not overnight become a pet dog.' The bench said there was a need to launch a drive with "some force" to round up all stray dogs. 'You should not find a single stray dog going around anywhere in any locality in the city or on the outskirts,' it said. Mehta said sterilisation could prevent further regeneration of dogs but it does not take away the power of dog to give rabies. 'Rabies has no cure in medicine and we have seen in YouTube videos children dying and parents crying helplessly because the doctors also say we have no cure,' he said. The bench told Mehta, "We are really grateful for the concern which you have expressed." The bench also heard submissions of senior advocate Gaurav Agarwal, who was appointed as an amicus curiae to assist it in the matter. When some lawyers said they wanted to intervene in the matter, the apex court said it would not hear anyone except the amicus and Mehta. The bench expressed acting in larger public interest over the grim situation while being mindful of how young children, babies and aged had fallen prey to dog bites. 'Remember, we are not doing this for our interest, we are doing it for the people at large. It is being done in public interest,' the bench said. Stressing on the immediate removal of strays from streets, including from all vulnerable places, the bench said it would make children feel that they were safe while cycling, playing and also the aged who come out for walks. Mehta informed the bench the MCD had previously earmarked a piece of land for relocating stray dogs but some animal activists filed a petition in the Delhi High Court and got a stay.
