Watch: Man To Be Deported To India Breaks Free On Heathrow Runway
An investigation has been opened after an immigration detainee who was being deported from the UK to India managed to free himself and run aimlessly on the tarmac of Heathrow Airport. The man was captured on video, sprinting across the runway at Terminal 2 on Sunday (Jun 8) as the guards ran after him.
The entire kerfuffle lasted several minutes before the man was apprehended by workers wearing hi-vis vests. He was detained on the ground with the support of police officers who were also on the scene, according to a report in The Telegraph.
The incident came to light after it was captured by a plane spotter and posted on the YouTube channel Big Jet TV.
"What's going on here? Why would there be people running across the [tarmac]? Isn't there anyone fit enough to take him down?" the person who filmed the incident could be heard saying."
With commercial jets taking off and landing in close proximity, the man could have jeopardised the safety of the passengers and airport staff.
"They are going to have to stop the operations, they are going to have to stop aircraft moving, he is running straight towards them," the man added, becoming increasingly frustrated with the extended chase.

As the incident went viral, social media users questioned the airport authorities, while others poked fun at the fitness of the guards chasing the man.
"They should have called for the armed cops and took him down. He was risking the aircraft and the many passengers on board them. And please check the fitness of those chasing him. Joke," said one user while another added: "Probably had a look round and said to himself, I am outta here...get me home."
A third commented: "Dude took the word runway to a new level. I was waiting for him to start flapping his arms prior to taking to the air like Jimbo and the Jetset."

A Heathrow spokesperson said: "Working with partners, we have quickly resolved an incident at the airport involving an individual who accessed the airfield taxiway. The individual has been removed from the airport."
"The airport continues to operate as normal, and passengers are travelling as planned."

He added that the documentary could be an attempt to tarnish his son's legacy. He said that the documentary includes interviews with individuals named in the FIR related to his son's murder, which he believes could affect the ongoing case. Later in the evening, Balkaur told media persons that that release of the documentary is like derailing the ongoing investigation into the murder case. He said that two witnesses have already testified in the court and he would be the third witness to testify in the coming days.

Haryana: Hisar Court rejects bail plea of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra
Hisar (Haryana) [India], June 11 (ANI): A court in Haryana's Hisar, on Wednesday rejected the bail plea of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, arrested for allegedly sharing sensitive information and being in continuous contact with a Pakistani citizen. Jyoti's lawyer, Advocate Kumar Mukesh said, 'Her bail plea was filed before JMFC Sunil Kumar's court and a reply from Police was sought today. After the reply from Police, I argued in the evening, the Court rejected her bail plea this evening.' Earlier on Monday, a court in Hisar extended the judicial custody of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra by 14 days. According to her lawyer, Kumar Mukesh, the court had previously sent Malhotra to judicial custody on May 26, which concluded on June 9. Malhotra appeared before the court of Sunil Kumar on June 9, and the next hearing has been scheduled for June 23. Malhotra will appear in court again on that date. Kumar Mukesh said, 'The last hearing took place on 26th May, during which the court of Sunil Kumar had sent Jyoti Malhotra to 14 days of judicial custody, which concluded today, 9th June. She appeared again before the same court today, and now the next hearing has been scheduled for 23rd June. Jyoti Malhotra will appear in court again on that date.' He said that the police are analysing Jyoti's bank account and the data recovered from the phone and laptop. He said that the podcast of Jyoti Malhotra with a Pakistani YouTuber that has surfaced talks about brotherhood only. Earlier on May 29, the lawyer said that Jyoti has made videos for her YouTube channel at different places and has also gone abroad with a visa. On May 26, the court sent Jyoti to judicial custody for fourteen days. Jyoti allegedly met a Pakistani officer, Ahsan-ur-Rahim, in Delhi, travelled to Pakistan twice, and shared sensitive information. During the preliminary investigation, the woman told the police that she went to the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi in 2023 to apply for a visa and met a man named Ahsan-ur-Rahim, alias Danish. Police arrest Sweta Khan, one of main accused in pornography case
Kolkata, June 11 (UNI) Sweta Khan, the main accused in a disturbing pornographic racket case in West Bengal's Howrah district, was arrested from South Kolkata's upscale Alipore area on Wednesday night. The arrest came just hours after her son Aryan Khan, also an accused in the same case, was apprehended from the Golf Green area in South Kolkata. He is currently in custody at the Domjur Police Station in Howrah, the jurisdiction under which the case was originally registered. According to the police, Sweta Khan's location was traced following the interrogation of Aryan. Both mother and son stand accused of confining and brutally assaulting a young woman from Panihati in North 24 Parganas after she allegedly refused to participate in the filming of pornographic content. The crime came to light when the woman was admitted to a hospital on Friday evening (June 6) with grievous injuries, including trauma to her private parts. The victim in her statement said that she had been held captive for approximately six months in a flat in Domjur, Howrah. During this period, she was denied food for days, had her limbs and even her teeth broken, and was repeatedly beaten with iron rods. On Saturday morning the family members of the woman lodged a complaint at Khardah police station in North 24 Parganas against Aryan and his mother Sweta Khan. Police have been in search of the duo since then. According to her family, the woman had previously worked for an event management company. She met Aryan Khan, who promised her a job with a higher salary, leading her to move to Howrah. Unaware of his intentions, she accepted the offer, only to find herself forcibly confined. After enduring months of physical and psychological torture, she managed to escape and sought help from her family. Incidentally the arrest happened after the National Commission for Women (NCW) took suo motu cognizance of the incident. The NCW urged the West Bengal Director General of Police, Rajeev Kumar, to arrest both the accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. Additionally, the Commission directed the state authorities to provide the survivor with free medical treatment and psychological counselling. The DGP has also been asked to submit a detailed action taken report within three days. Further investigation revealed that Aryan and Shweta Khan jointly established a production company called 'Isara Entertainment'. The duo launched a YouTube channel under the same name in 2021. However, over the past four years, only 11 music videos have been uploaded, raising serious doubts about the company's true purpose and the possibility of it being a front for illegal activities.
