SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A Milton, Florida man has been sentenced for an aggravated battery incident that occurred in March 2024.

According to a news release from the office of First Judicial Circuit of Florida State Attorney Ginger Madden, Circuit Judge Edward Nickinson III sentenced Aaron Eichman to 15 years in state prison for aggravated battery.
The release said that on March 23, 2024, Eichman knocked a man to the ground and kicked and punched him while on the ground. Eichman also 'struck the victim with a weapon and threatened him and a second victim.'
According to the release, the victims escaped to a safe location and reported the incident to law enforcement.
A jury convicted Eichman on April 3 of aggravated battery and two counts of assault. He was also found to be a prison releasee reoffender and a habitual felony offender, according to state attorney officials.
Eichman had served 22.3 months in state prison after being convicted of domestic battery by strangulation and felony battery. He was released on Oct. 22, 2022.

Assistant State Attorney Patrick King prosecuted the case, and the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office led the investigation.

Authorities have been tight-lipped on the case, but they previously said there were "unique, specific circumstances" to the case. The pastor's death left the community on edge. "I mean, we locked our doors last night. It's just something that we are just not used to doing. Everybody is just, until we know what's going on, we don't know if it was a family member, or, we don't know what, who could do this to him," said Mike Anders in early May. MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – A Hartselle man, who was charged in May with the rape of a minor, is now facing additional charges related to inappropriate messages sent to children. Benjamin Preston Bolan, 27, is now charged with possession of child pornography with the intent to distribute. On May 13, the sheriff's office Investigators and the Morgan County Fugitive Unit carried out a search warrant at an apartment complex on Mitwede Street in Hartselle. MCSO said the warrant was for a man wanted for rape involving a victim under the age of 15. However, MCSO said on Friday that investigators got search warrants for Bolan's Snapchat and cell phone back in April. They said that they found several hundred sexually explicit pictures, videos and chats with children, whose ages range from five to 15. MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. - Two kids fell out of a moving vehicle at Lake Pleasant's Desert Tortoise Campground on Thursday afternoon, Peoria Fire-Medical Department said. What we know The June 5 incident happened near Desert Tortoise Road and Pallet Loop Road around 3 p.m. "Upon arrival crews found two patients who had fallen from a moving vehicle. Both patients are minors. Both patients were treated by PFMD and Daisy Mountain Fire and transported via helicopter to a local hospital in serious condition," the department said. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said it was a pick-up truck that the kids fell out of when they were on an inflatable raft. "Two kids under the age of 10, were riding in the back of a pick-up on an inflatable raft when they were ejected from the back of the truck," MCSO said, providing more details about what happened. The kids were airlifted to the hospital. One of them has serious injuries and another is in critical condition. "As the investigation develops possible charges may arise depending on the circumstances of the case. This is all the information we for release at this time," MCSO said.
