Prince Harry Will Reportedly Hit a Soft Spot in His Latest Olive Branch to King Charles & Prince William

Yahoo6 hours ago

For quite a while now, Prince Harry has been candid about wanting to make amends with his family, most notably with his King Charles and his brother Prince William. But, as sources have confirmed over and over again, the relationship between them has been more strained than ever. But, according to a new source, Harry's latest olive branch might change things.
According to sources for the Daily Mail, Harry is planning on inviting his dad and his brother to the next Invictus Games, which will take place in July 2027 in Birmingham, England. The Invictus Games, which was founded by Harry in 2013, is an international adaptive multi-sport event for wounded, injured, and sick service personnel and veterans.

'Invictus hopes the royal family will come along to support the wounded veterans taking part,' the source said. 'Harry is hopeful his father will set aside their differences to attend the Invictus Games and support veterans.'
In other words, extending the invitation to them would not only be asking for their support for Harry, but also for wounded and injured veterans from around the world. If you ask us, that might be too big of an invite for the royals to turn down.'The royals have always been hugely supportive of Invictus and proud of what Harry has achieved in that arena,' the source said, referring to all the support they have given Harry in this project prior to his 2020 departure from senior royal roles. 'This is one olive branch from him which might be reciprocated.'
Harry last spoke about a reconciliation following his legal loss in May, where he fought to get a security detail for himself and his family when he visits England.
In a talk with the BBC, Harry said the security discussion is a major 'sticking point' with his family.
'It is the only thing that's left,' he told the outlet. 'Of course, some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book. Of course, they will never forgive me for lots of things. But I would love reconciliation with my family.'
'There's no point continuing to fight anymore,' he said. 'Life is precious.'
'I don't know how much longer my father has, you know?' Harry continued, referring to his father's battle with an undisclosed form of cancer. 'He won't speak to me because of the security stuff. But it would be nice to reconcile. If they don't want that, that's entirely up to them.'
Indeed, it seems the decision is all in their hands now. Will they be RSVP-ing yes?Best of SheKnows

Meghan Markle Catches More Criticism From Jam Expert Amid New Product Launch

Meghan Markle's critic train continues to take on new passengers! The Duchess of Sussex is not catching a break, as one of her newly launched products comes under severe tongue lashings by an expert in the field. Meghan Markle put a huge smile on the faces of her fans last week when she expanded her stock by not just one, but three new merchandise, including a new special wine. Renowned jam connoisseur Donna Collins came out swinging against Meghan and labeled her fruit spread an epic disappointment. Collins continued that fruit spread is usually a last resort when the jam is of low quality. "It can have the best ingredients, but if I had a jam that was too runny, I'd slap a label on it and call it a spread. There's no excuse for this. It should be perfect," Collins stressed. The jam-making champion also questioned Meghan's choice of ingredients, which include dried organic apricots, fruit pectin, organic pure cane sugar, and conventional apricots. According to the Daily Mail, Collins noted that some of the preservatives used for the apricots are harmful to human health. She also observed that pectin is often used for runny spreads. Collins, who owns a jam company known as Jelly Queen Jam and has about 40 jam-making championship titles under her belt, came with more points to tackle the entrepreneur. She raised an issue with the size of Meghan's new batch of apricot spread. The expert was convinced that the actress had only made a small quantity, which is why it sold out within minutes, just like her raspberry spread. The Duchess debuted her "As Ever" with a few products, including the raspberry spread, which critics claimed was poorly suited for bread and toasts. "I don't know who's making her spread, but we all know it's not Meghan. It sounds like they really don't know what they are doing," Collins insisted. Her sentiments were echoed by another observer, Maureen Foley, who owns Red Hen Cannery in Montecito. Foley claimed Meghan's rushed apricot spread line was a brilliant marketing move from her. The mogul added, "She may be smart, trying to fill a niche. Spreads can be sweet or savoury, and used on dishes for all meals, so perhaps it's just clever marketing." Meghan's "As Ever" lifestyle brand came to life in April, with a promise to feature a quantitative inventory from home essentials to edible stuff. Quite the expressive one, Meghan did not waste time informing her teeming customers about their latest team achievement. The mother-of-two hopped on her brand's official Instagram page to wish her fans a "wonderful weekend" for making the "As Ever" weekend a "sold out" one. She also made a post on her personal page, reacting excitedly to the progress. Meghan had earlier hinted to her fans about an incoming wave of sold-out tags on her product. The Duchess of Sussex urged her fans not to second-guess on purchasing their favorite items from her store. "We spent so much time making sure we had so much more inventory, that's why we took the time, and you guys are doing it again. We're nearly sold out on everything, and I can't believe it," She exclaimed. Meghan stated that everything, down to the flower sprinkles, which she produced in excess were nearly out of stock. On Saturday, she followed up on her gratitude with another note on her brand's Instagram page, describing her fans as the "sweetest part" of what the brand does. Despite Meghan's iconic entrepreneurial success, royal experts are convinced it is only a ploy for fame and fortune, as noted by The Blast. The experts continued that the actress also desires to be recognized as a royal mogul with a large business empire. They connected the huge success of her brand to her title and status as a royal figure. British broadcaster, Helena Chard, claimed: "She will cling to this as it will help bring her [more] fame and fortune, which is imperative to her life. She will keep her fingers in many pies and her name in lights with the hope that one or more of her ideas will bring in the much-needed hard cash." Coincidentally, Meghan had previously admitted to missing her former life as an actress when she got married to Prince Harry in 2018. With her new venture, experts like Valentine Low are claiming she is trying to get the best of both worlds. In Low's 2023 book "Courtiers," he claimed the actress aided the Birmingham exodus in 2020 to give her and Harry the "freedom to make money and dip their toes into politics." As reported by The Blast, Meghan's success as an entrepreneur began with bleak days of uncertainty about her progress or direction. However, Meghan's trying times did not last long, as she received a much-needed boost from Oprah. In a rare confession, she explained on her podcast 'Confessions of a Female Founder' that she got into a place of contentment with producing just small batches from home. Despite this peace, Meghan admitted that she could not shake off the feeling of mediocrity towards her decision. Oprah then reportedly assured her in one of their meetings that she was on the right track, especially if she looked into adding more products to her itinerary. Meghan continued that Oprah encouraged her to figure out how to capture her 'essence' and make it convincing enough to make a profit from. The mother-of-two added that as soon as she heard this statement from the former host, all her doubts flew out the window.

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez kick off wedding celebrations with foam party on $500m yacht amid protests in Venice

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's Italian wedding festivities appear to be underway, while locals in Venice continue to protest the upcoming nuptials amid the swell of overtourism in the city. The couple was spotted on Bezos' $500 million yacht, Koru, on the island of Cres in Croatia on Sunday, leading up to their lavish wedding in Venice. In paparazzi photos obtained by the Daily Mail, the pair were seen covered in soap during a foam party with their friends on the boat. Sanchez opted for a black bikini and tan brim hat, while her soon-to-be husband wore green swim trunks and a white bucket hat. The Mail also noted that there was a 'Happy Birthday' sign on the boat, suggesting that the party may also have been in celebration of Sánchez's son Evan, who turned 19 on Sunday. Bezo and Sánchez, who got engaged in 2023, will begin their three-day wedding in Venice later this week — an exact date has not been confirmed; however, multiple outlets report it will take place from Thursday to Saturday. Ahead of their arrival, there have been many protests against the couple in the floating city. Last week, demonstrators took to the Rialto bridge — one of Venice's most famous landmarks — where they hung a giant banner reading 'No Space for Bezos,' a nod to the billionaire's space exploration company, Blue Origin. One of the protesters, Marta Sottoriva, told The Independent that allowing the billionaire to have his wedding in Venice creates the idea that 'a city can be sold to the highest bidder with the most money.' On Monday, global environmental organization Greenpeace joined the protests, with members of the organization unfurling a giant banner in St. Mark's Square that read: 'IF YOU CAN RENT VENICE FOR YOUR WEDDING YOU CAN PAY MORE TAX.' Local police quickly folded the sign up and took it away. The wedding is estimated to cost anywhere from $11.5 million to upwards of $21.5 million. About 30 of Venice's 280 water taxis have been reserved for the weekend, city hall officials said in a statement. The city's mayor, Luigi Brugnaro, addressed the wedding back in March, denying claims that he booked a large number of hotel rooms, gondolas, and water taxis for the event. 'We are mutually working and supporting the organizers to ensure that the event will be absolutely respectful of the fragility and uniqueness of the city,' he said in a statement to People magazine at the time. 'The many speculations and fake news circulating about Jeff Bezos' wedding are completely unfounded,' the municipality added in its own statement, saying its 'utmost priority to make sure the city functions as normal, for all, with no abnormal disruption to anyone.'
