In-demand Philippart de Foy looking for notable jumps success
While his future is going to be largely Flat-based as the principal trainer for Amo Racing at Sir Michael Stoute's former yard, he has shown his versatility by winning three in a row with D Day Arvalenreeva, who heads for the Unibet Same Race Multi Summer Handicap Hurdle.
'She's in very good shape, delighted with the filly. She's done very little wrong since switching to handicaps,' said De Foy.
'This race has been a target for a long time and the faster (the ground) the better for her.
'Obviously she's a course and distance winner, it's a big step up in grade, but I couldn't be happier with the way she's going into the race.'
Olly Murphy's Sir Galahad has an even better record, winning four out of four since joining from James Ferguson.
'He's been trained for the race, he needed the extra run to qualify, but he's in good form, looks progressive and he's got an unusual profile,' said Murphy.
'He's on an upward curve and is full of confidence. He's taken to hurdles really well, he's got confidence since taking a hurdle and with a bit of luck, he'll run very well.'
Fergal O'Brien's Castel Gandolfo won the race last year and got back to winning ways over course and distance last month.
'We went more or less the same route. I think he's run in it the last four years so it was always a plan to run it,' said O'Brien.
'We ran him at Bangor and Johnny (Burke, jockey) said 'he's just a totally different horse going right-handed', especially right-handed with a rail, so he said he feels much better at Market Rasen than he does anywhere else. Right-handed around Rasen does suit him.'
O'Brien also runs Oslo off bottom weight, the mount of Liam Harrison.
'Oslo is fine. I'd like him to take a step forward, he's been running very well for us on the Flat, he got brought down at Bangor last year and I'm not sure if he's got over that yet when it comes to jumping hurdles,' he said.
'We'd like to see him to finish off his races a bit better, and if he does, he could be a player as well.
'They are both good, they will try their best and fingers crossed.'

Every Celtic signing from Man City ranked as Jahmai Simpson-Pusey deal sees transfer trick revived
The Hoops haven't been shy in picking up the phone to the EPL big hitters over the years Celtic are set to unveil Man City defender Jahmai Simpson-Pusey as their latest summer signing. Pep Guardiola has given the green light for his rising star to spend the campaign at Parkhead as Brendan Rodgers looks to add depth to his backline. The Hoops and French outfit Strasbourg were in the running to land the highly-rated defender - and it's not the first time that Celtic have tapped into the City academy for talent. Boss Rodgers has regularly looked to Manchester for recruitment at Parkhead - notably bringing in two centre-backs from City in his previous stint in Glasgow's east end. But who are the hits, and who are the misses when this familiar transfer trick is deployed? Record Sport takes a look at who the biggest success stories are at Celtic Park. 8 - Daniel Arzani Signed on a two-year loan deal from City back in 2018, the winger failed to make any impact at Celtic Park. He made his top team debut under Brendan Rodgers - but would have his Hoops career derailed by an ACL injury suffered during the game. After making his first appearances in October of the year he penned a deal, Arzani would have to wait until January 2020 for his next appearance - a run out off the bench in the Scottish Cup clash with Patrick Thistle. Those would be the Australia international's only two appearances in green and white before he returned to City. 7 - John Guidetti The Swede burst onto the scene at Celtic after making the loan move north of the border - netting 11 goals in his first 10 games for the Hoops. But Ronny Deila would be forced to drop the striker and bring in Leigh Griffiths as he went on a miserable 10 game run without a goal. He would leave Scotland with a League Cup and Premiership winners medal in his pocket - but City allowed his contract to expire at the end of the 2014/15 campaign. 6 - Jason Denayer Denayer offers a template for incoming Simpson-Pusey and the recipe for success at Parkhead. Brought to Celtic by Ronny Deila to play alongside Virgil van Dijk at centre-back, the Belgian formed a formidable partnership at the back with the Celtic fan favourite. He claimed the Premiership trophy and League Cup during his time season in Glasgow's east end - as well as being named Scotland's Young Player of the Year. Can the latest recruit find similar success alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers? 5 - Dedryck Boyata After a series of loan moves away from City, the Premier League heavyweights would eventually green light a permanent exit as the Belgian joined the Hoops for £1.5million in 2016. Boyata endured a rocky start to life in Glasgow's east end as he struggled to earn a place in Brendan Rodgers' starting XI after his move in 2015 - but he would stick it out to fight for his spot. In the end after four years in Glasgow he played a key part in the Hoops' domestic dominance - helping the side to three league titles and the infamous Treble Treble in 2019 before joining Hertha Berlin. 4. Olivier Ntcham The Frenchman made a strong argument for man of the match in five consecutive games against Rangers in 2017 and 2018 and despite his Parkhead career running out of steam. But even though the enigmatic Frenchman was unable to rediscover his early form he showed after his £4.4m move from City, it mattered little as his pitching wedge finish downed Lazio in the dying seconds to secure a stunning Europa League win in Rome in 2019. 3 - Patrick Roberts The warning for fans is not to fall in love with a loan player - but Celtic fans were head over heels for Patrick Roberts. The winger initially penned an 18-month loan deal and he quickly won over the diehards with his trickery on the wing, not to mention his goals. He ended his first six months with seven goals for the club, but would make himself a mainstay of Brendan Rodgers' starting XI in 2016/17 - notably earning a Man of the Match gong in the Champions League thriller against his parent club as Celtic secured an unbeaten domestic Treble. Roberts would return the following season after his temporary deal was extended - but a hamstring injury hampered his campaign. However, the wide man is still fondly remembered in Glasgow's east end. 2 - Jeremie Frimpong Now a mega money signing for Liverpool having claimed the Bundesliga title during his time at Bayer Leverkusen, Jeremie Frimpong' s career was given a jolt by Celtic as the Hoops snapped him up from Manchester City's academy for a mere £300k. The wing-back would be an instant hit with fans as Neil Lennon gave him free reign to terrify opponents with his electrifying pace - helping the club to a domestic clean sweep before scooping the Hoops' Young Player of the Year for the season. The following season he would leave midway through the campaign in a £16.5million move to Leverkusen with the Hoops on course for another league crown. 1 - Georgios Samaras He arrived at Celtic Park on a six month loan in 2008 as he attempted to revive his faltering career - and boy, did he. After helping Celtic revive their title bid under Gordon Strachan, the club would pick up an option to buy the Greek international. During his seven seasons in Glasgow's east end, he became notorious for netting crucial goals on the big stage in Europe and domestically - with a highlight reel packed full of infamous Champions League strikes or goals against rivals Rangers. He would pull the curtain down on his Hoops' career in 2014 for another crack at the Premier League at West Brom - with five league titles to his name, two Scottish Cup medals and a League Cup.

Man Utd offered new Ollie Watkins transfer hope after performing U-turn on move
Manchestter United appear to have moved on from Ollie Watkins, at least for the time being, but there is fresh hope that the England striker could yet become available Manchester United have turned their attentions away from Ollie Watkins and towards Benjamin Sesko. However, fresh developments could yet allow them to come back in for the Aston Villa star. Villa's asking price on Watkins appeared to be a sticking point, with United seeming reluctant to part with the best part of £60m. Unai Emery's side were reluctant to sell, given their lack of back-ups in attack, but they are now eyeing up alternatives. Curiously, Villa's main attacking target is Sesko's team-mate Lois Openda. According to reports in Belgium, the Premier League side have been exploring a move for Lois Openda for a number of months, with the interest said to be mutual. Belgian international striker Openda has scored 41 goals across two seasons as a Leipzig player, but could be available after the German club missed out on European qualification. However, it is being reported that Villa will need to sell Watkins before they can bolster their attack.. Villa have had a quiet window so far, with Dutch starlet Zepiqueno Redmond their only attacking recruit. They weren't able to seal permanent moves for loanees Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio, leaving them with fewer options in attack. Sesko and Watkins are both valued by their respective clubs at around £60million. However, United are more prepared to spend that kind of money for a player more than seven years younger than the England star. Slovenia international Sesko, who turned 22 in May, has 39 goals across two Leipzig seasons. He was also a target for Arsenal before they swooped for Viktor Gyokeres, while Newcastle could yet pounce if they lose Alexander Isak. While United wait to add to their attacking ranks, their current crop had a chance to show what they can do in front of goal. Ruben Amorim's side are in the United States for the Premier League Summer Series, where they made it two wins from two with a 4-1 victory over Bournemouth. United scored twice in each half, with Rasmus Hojlund among those to find the net. They play Everton over the weekend before rounding off their pre-season campaign with a home friendly against Fiorentina on August 9. Danish striker Hojlund is one player who could yet be sold to raise funds in a summer which has already seen United splash out more than £100m to bring Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo to Old Trafford. 'I'm really happy with Rasmus. But I don't know what is going to happen until the end of the market," United's head coach said.

Aberdeen agree Pape Gueye transfer exit as they land hefty profit after deal with Kasimpasa brokered
The formalities between the two clubs with additional add-ons should be signed off today Aberdeen have agreed a deal in excess of £850,000 with Kasimpasa for Pape Gueye. The formalities between the two clubs with additional add-ons should be signed off today. Gueye has now been given permission to open talks with the Turkish Super Lig side and to travel for a medical. The deal was finally thrashed out last night after days of negotiations. It will see Aberdeen make a tidy profit on the £500,000 they paid Kortrijk two years ago. The deal will also cover the Belgian side's sell-on. Gueye will now pick up a significant increase when he moves to Turkey. Dons manager Jimmy Thelin have now ramped up their search for multiple strikers. They have made a new proposal to AC Milan for Alex Lazetic and are now awaiting a response to that. The Dons tried to land the Serbian under-21 striker in January but were thwarted by red tape at the end of the window.
